"Mmm, so that isn't what you're into I see." Adrain says as Iris gets flustered. He laughs a little bit, looking at Iris' apparently YELLOW eyes for a moment. "I guess with that powerful body though you would want a little more say. It wasn't really a trick like the static, you can break the ice if you really want to. You see I'm not fully sure what you really want, so I will leave it to you to decide on your actions." he teases as he turns back to the work. At this point, it was half amusing for Adrain to see how Iris would react. As promised, he would indulge her since there was no drawback as of the time of this thread but she had to commit to it since Adrain wasn't going to push her towards it.
As he begins to freeze over the blade once more, arcane energy begins to stream from his hands to form a rough shape of an outline of a blade. It doesn't seem dangerous, but it does require his attention. The mage then goes to a cabinet and begins to get a few tools, a hammer and a few arcane implements for working on the weapon. When the weapon was cool enough, he begins to hammer on it, sparks flying out of the hammer as his biceps contract and extend for each strike of the weapon.

Iris was red, peeved with his actions. ”What would make you think I was?” She asked, twisting her wrists around a bit, not used to the cold against them. ”I know I can break through it, it’s barely strong enough to hold a child.” She said, in attempt to tease him back, but it was weak and hardly an insult. She was too distracted by too many things. Leaving the choice up to her was probably not the best choice on his behalf, and Iris struggled with it for a few moments, her body and mind completely drawn to him at this point.
She silently cursed this world and its magics, swearing to stay away from any and all potions after this, just to be safe. Iris then tugged on the cuffs, breaking through them easily enough, and obviously making noise to do so. She hesitated for a moment, but she no longer seemed to have much control left, and walked towards the mage, coming up behind him, watching as he hammered the metal. She didn’t want to get to close at first, not really wanting to get hit in the face in the process. Instead she maneuvered herself to come up on the side without the hammer, while still being behind him, and ran her hands along his arms. ”You really should have made those stronger. Or you know, found another way to fix this problem.” She spoke softly, her face not to far from his head. She knew his ears weren’t as sensitive as hers, but it was habit to lower her voice when close to another ears.

"Oh it was mostly me being a bit of an ass for a laugh. I promise not to use magic again, the only reason doing so was a somewhat practical purpose." he says calmly with a disarming, radiant smile toward Iris. "You see, if this wouldn't be your first go at sex and it would be a more casual sort of thing without any deep commitment and mostly a therapeutic release, then I would indulge you to relieve you of this severe discomfort that you seem to be experiecing. That is sort of how it sounded you treated the subject based on your explanation of the sex drive of satyrs. Alternatively, if it would be your first time, then I would be incredibly reluctant to go about it in the event you were one of those save it for marriage types. I swear I am trying to be as small a jerk as possible." he says, explaining an actually detailed and thought out reasoning behind the whole thing just now.
As Iris inevitably broke free and the hoof beats against the floor towards him, he paused hammering. He chuckled as Iris ran a hand along his arm, turning to look at her with a coy smile.
"Well I could have conjured stone cuffs or something firmer. There are a number of ways to fix the problem." he says, turning to her and looking at her body once more. The human half was actually quite lovely and exotic, and the lower part, well that could be dealt with. "You are really quite lovely, did you have anyone special back where you come from?" he says, his tone turning a bit more serious and inquisitive.

”No shit; you better keep that promise this time.” She grumbled, flicking her head to the side to remove a piece of hair that she clearly couldn’t get with her hands. When he went on his mini rant about sex, she cocked an eyebrow and watched him curiously. When he was finished, she nodded approvingly, appreciating what he’d been trying to do.
”Trust me, it wouldn’t be my first “go” as you said. When I explained my race’s nature, I was speaking from experience.” She laughed lightly. ”But thanks for the concern.” She added genuinely.
She heard him laugh, and held in a snide comment, even with his coy smile, and listened to what he had to say, not moving away from him this time. ”If there are a number of ways, then why did you do the one that would clearly not work? I’m beginning to think you let me drink that on purpose.” She smiled and laughed again, only half joking, but was calm now, seeing as she was a lot closer to him. She saw him look her over, and cocked an eyebrow. ”Thank you. I’ve never put much thought into my appearance.” She half shrugged, then shook her head. ”Nope. I left my tribe a decades ago, and never really met anyone after that. I was more of a travel from place to place person. When one place got boring it was on to the next. You don’t typically meet people that last when you do that.” She could see what he was getting at, and thought to do the same. ”What about you Mr. Charismatic?”

"I guess so, I suspected that might be the case." Adrain says with a laugh when Iris explained that it was from her own experience. "The Grecians were always said to be a bit...promiscuous if accounts are to be believed, but I guess when the father god is the biggest horndog of all that's not too surprising. It's fascinating in a way. Very much more open minded and liberal than Novian culture"
When Iris commented about letting her drink the potion, he shook his head. "No, if I knew it was that damn love potion the I'd have gone to the infirmary to get you something that doesn't have that side effect. People just use it because it's cheaper than Lunar Drops without the high side effect and don't like paying alchemists for targeted medicines. If I were trying to seduce you from the start, I'd probably have gone about it more like a date where I ask you to dinner with lots of wine and good food or something more honest." he says, rolling his eyes at the accusation.
He nodded in response to the spiel about being a nomad and leaving her tribe, and when asked about whether he had someone, he shook his head.
"No, not as of the moment. I had always been a super work focused person until a near-death during the siege against the city by Helena. I sort of re-evaluated my life and decided that I was missing too much to ignore the things like love, companionship, and other things."

Iris blushed for a moment, still coming to terms that people here weren’t as blunt as they were back home, as Adrain soon pointed out. ”Yeah, things were a lot different there. But you aren’t wrong about Zeus. Horndog is an understatement.” She laughed, remembering various stories and myths she’d learnt over the years, many of them caused by Zeus wanting to stick his dick somewhere it didn’t belong. ”I suppose it would be fascinating to anyone who didn’t live there. But from what I can tell, people here are decently open minded…”
Thankfully Adrain squashed her suspicion of allowing her to drink the potion knowingly, once and for all removing the thought from her mind. ”You sound like this isn’t the first time this has happened to you.” She laughed again, wondering what trouble this concoction had caused in the past. ”Well… that sounds really sweet. Maybe you really are a gentleman.” Iris spoke softly, cocking her head to the side and looking him over, wondering if her impression of him had been wrong. She’d pegged him as a good person, but not a romantic.
”It sounds like whatever it was really changed you’re view on things, but perhaps thats a good thing.” She was still decently close to him, and had an urge to play with his hair again, but denied herself that.

"They can be, depends on the time of year. You might feel at home in the Blossom Festival." he says vaguely, knowing that the typical sexcapades of the festival were close to that which Iris would describe for the Satyr behavior. Not that there was anything wrong with it. Iris might enjoy it quite a bit. Time would tell and he would have to remember to ask her about it when that time would come.
"There's been a rumor going around that an alchemy student has been replacing some of the headache medicine with that love potion. I honestly haven't believed it because the Arch is huge and the effort it would take seems impossible but now I am not so sure." the mage says, not wanting to confirm if it has happened before but at least adding to the bit that there was something going on. If he ever found this student, there was going to be hell to pay.
"I try." he replies simply to the comment about him being a gentleman. At the comment on changing things, he nods and doesn't say anything. He didn't really want to talk about the near death incident. He could tell that Iris was still holding back a lot, at which he chuckled softly.
"You are being really resilient to the effects actually, so as I promised, I will fulfill your discomfort if you want as long as you promise it won't harm us as friends." he says with a soft chuckle, waiting for the satyress' response before doing anything more.

”Blossom Festival? What’s that?” She decided idle chatter may be the best way to get through this. She knew Adrain wouldn’t blame her, but she didn’t want to be pushy and do what her brain was telling her to. She was still pretty damn close to him from before, but now he was facing her, and it was driving her absolutely mad. When he answered her about the potion, she arched an eyebrow, noting how he skillfully avoided the actual question she’d proposed. ”Huh. Sounds like someone’s been naughty. Hope you catch them eventually, this shit is annoying.” At first she was being playful, but by the end of her sentence, she was grumbling.
It seemed in addition to all his other qualities, the man was humble. ”You try? Well that’s probably a good thing.” She laughed lightly, trying to change the mood from the odd tense vibe she was getting from him now. Probably from the talk of dying. Though it appeared her efforts to keep her hands to herself did not go unnoticed, as he commented on them next.
”I guess my mind is just stronger than the people of this world.” She replied smugly, but arched an eyebrow yet again at his proposal. ”Oh, you were serious about that? Well hell, I wouldn’t say no to that sober, let alone now. I mean, have you seen you?” She laughed whole heartedly, her eyes going over him yet again. He really was attractive, she wasn’t lying. ”And trust me, I’m good at separating certain interactions with emotions and friendships. You have nothing to worry about, if you do decide to continue with whatever the hell happens next, our friendship would be fine. You’re too interesting to ignore.” She grinned at him, her real personality coming out for the moment.

"It's a festival where they celebrate the coming of spring and the shedding of Zepon's horns with a number of activities, but orgies are a part of the occasion." he says with a shrug. "I'm not really that good at explaining it, but last year I ended up being abducted midshower by Vanessa herself to meet a woman I hadn't met before with her sort of trying to make sex happen. Granted I was less...open to such ideas and you can probably guess about how many kinds of awkwardness ensued."
"Yeah, they will be rooted out eventually." he says, not having anything more definite to say about the supposed rogue alchemist who was running amok within the arch. He chuckled a little when Iris acknowledged the fact he tried was a good thing.
"Maybe it's just the horns, it pulls the fluid to it and away from your brain." he says jokingly when Iris was being smug about her apparent resistance to being fully under sway of the potion. When she began to flirt with him and appeal to his appearance, he grins, pulling closer to Iris and putting a hand around her waist.
"Ohh well I'll have to keep that in mind in the future.." he says teasingly, then reaching and fluffing her tail a little.

Iris nodded along with his explanation, not knowing who Zepon was, or Vanessa, but was sure she’d figure that out eventually, and now wasn’t exactly the time for questions. ”Huh. Sounds like a very interesting event. A bit… creepy if you think about it… but interesting none the less.” Iris smiled, shrugging. Nova was getting more and more interesting with this mans stories. He already had taught her a decent amount more than Kail had.
”Oh haha, very funny. My horns have nothing to do with it and you know it.” She laughed openly, feeling slightly self-conscious about them for a moment, lifting a hand to touch one of them. When a smile spread over his face, she felt her face get warm, and even more so when he pulled her closer, feeling the warmth of his hand on her waist.
”Oh you will huh? Good to know that I’d be on your mind in the future.” Iris responded, not super great at the actual flirting part of the situation, but jumped slightly when she felt something touching her tail. ”Oh shit!” She laughed. ”Sorry, that startled me a bit… its rather sensitive area.” She responded, turning pink.

"Yeah, interesting is one thing, but if you decide to have fun try to make sure the men eat some Mylee's Blue Bells unless you want to have a little goatling bleating at you some time later." he states with a small chuckle. Granted there was a chance that the satyr would not be biologically compatible, but better to make caution than assumption in things such as that.
"Oh I dunno, maybe your horns have more abilities than you know other than framing your face and hair." he states laughing a little as Iris' face reddens from the warmth going on. When Iris awkwardly flirted and then jumped at identifying that the tail was a sensitive area, he couldn't help but to deliberately stroke it again to get more of a reaction out of her. This was about as feminine as Iris had been yet to Adrain, so he figured he would exploit the weakness for reaction.
"Well in any case, I'd rather not risk the odd student coming in here so I'll take you back to my place for your relief." he states, creating another portal which would lead to the mage's bedroom. Inside there would be a large bed draped with black blanket and sheets with some fine metalwork, almost gothic light fixtures powered by crystals in the walls with other various bedroom elements around the room. Adrain would go to one drawer and pull out a blue herb, the mylee's blue bells, consuming it as he then beckoned for Iris to come.
The next length of time would be spent in the obvious manner, Adrain doing all he could and more to Iris to make up for his lack of catching the potion beforehand. Of course, it would be a relaxing and good experience on his side of things as well. He would indulge Iris as long as it took for her to tire out, using extra herbs for every hour it may have went on. When Iris would finally be lulled to sleep from the activities and the other effect of the potion it to cause drowsiness, he would reassemble himself, write instructions to the Spellforge on the table next to Iris, and make his way back down.
Some point later, when Iris would wake up and eventually find her way back to the spellforge, she would see Adrain holding up the finished product of the sword, looking it over, the blade glowing faintly from being warm still but cooling down as the frost magic emitted from his hands came through. The weapon would gleam in the light, Adrain not immediately aware of Iris' presence.

”Huh. Good to know. I’ve never heard of such a plant; though I’m not sure such a thing is possible in this world.” She pondered a moment. She was technically part human from the waist up, and did have a uterus, but she wasn’t quite sure how compatible it would be with a human male’s parts. She hadn’t come across any trouble so far at least, but she would keep that in mind to be safe.
At his comment on her horns, she reached up and touched one yet again, smiling a bit. ”I suppose you could be right; though there is one definite thing they’re good for— they make a hell of an attack for someone who doesn’t see it coming.” She smirked, and remembered a time she had full on rammed into someone head first at a bar when they’d pissed her off… Good times.
When she felt him touch her tail again, she twitched, her face red again as she looked up at him, half glaring, half lustful, knowing he was doing it to get a rise out of her and he’d clearly succeeded. ”You’ll pay for that.” She muttered, keeping her eyes up at him.
Next thing she knew they were off in his bedroom, and it was a bit darker than she’d expected, which she would comment on at a later time. Things went how the would obviously go, and over time Iris had drifted off to sleep, the position having worn off, and her energy completely sapped surprisingly enough.
Eventually, she woke up, sitting up slowly and taking in her surroundings. She got out of the bed, and put her top back on, noticing that she must have left her jacket in the forge room. She walked around the room slowly, until she noticed a note not to far from where she’d been laying. Looking it over, she nodded to herself before exiting the room and attempting to find her way back. As she walked, she threw up her hair into a knot, not having a clue of the state is was in prior.
She made it back in time, and opened the door quietly, peeking in to be sure it was the right one. Sure enough, she saw Adrain standing at the other end of the room. She entered the room and closed the door quietly behind her. She couldn’t really move quietly from there on out, so she stayed put, admiring from afar. ”It turned out beautifully…” She said after a moment, speaking loud enough so that her voice would carry. She walked over after that, who hooves making their distinct sound, and stopping a few feet away.

As Iris entered and made her presence known, approaching with rhythmic hoof-beats filling Adrain's ears with the clippity clop sound. He turns to her with a warm smile, looking pleased but for reasons that are ambiguous, considering the events that had come up to this point in the day.
"Hey Iris, did you sleep well? That was fun, but I wish you didn't bite my right shoulder as hard as you did. he says, chuckling mildly. "...Or nearly concussing me when you were on top when you leaned down with those horns." he states, then calming his tone a little, showing the weapon to Iris when she was close enough.
"It gave me time in any case to do this while you were relaxing and resting, it should be a fine replacement without trying to insult the original by trying to replicate it but having something be somehow off. Now let me show you what happens when you use a gem in the blade." Adrain says, pulling a faintly glowing red gem out and putting it in one of the gem slots on the blade. It seems to link in from glyphs inscribed inside the ring and shimmers ever so slightly brighter.
"Now when you use this weapon, you can simply say the name of the gem you put in to activate it. With a fire gem...Fire." he states as the blade catches on fire, rising the heat in the room before Adrain states the term again, causing the heat to fade. He holds his hand over the blade, cooling it with freezing magic before removing the gem and then walking toward Iris, offering her the hilt of the blade.
"Of course, you are always welcome to come back here when you want whether for equipment or just to hang around, I could use someone to spar with maybe, help me with my swordplay a little." he says with a slight chuckle.

I slept fine thank you. You really didn’t need to let me sleep though. She stuck her tongue out at him on the comment of biting him. I have animal instincts, what can i say? She laughed, cracking up more about the horns. Alright alright, I’m sorry. She smiled, letting it end there, unless he were to bring it up further.
She looked at the weapon he presented to her, a smile of awe on her face. I would never insult the original. She said shortly, before nodding as he went on to show her how it worked. It would definitely take some getting used to however. She felt the room get warmer as he said the word “fire”, and she rose an eyebrow impressed with it, when he said it again to turn it off, in a sense.
She took the hilt of the sword carefully, looking up to Adrains face with a small, excited smile. Wow… You did an amazing job! She fawned over it lightly, testing out the weight in her hand. It was a bit heavier than her original, but nothing she couldn’t adjust to. She ran a careful finger over the blade itself before simply staring at the beautiful craftsmanship. I don’t think I can thank you enough for this… She spoke honestly, tearing her eyes from the sword and back to him. And I would be happy to “hang around” or spar with you anytime. She smiled, a truly happy look on her face.
