Biography
History:
Acacia Sutherland is the only daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Sutherland, Baron and Baroness of a little plot of land south of the Crawford Barony, on the west side of Heaven’s Pass. The land had been passed down a few generations and was a gift to her great great grandfather for service in the military of Nova.
As a child, her father would visit Nova for days at a time on business for the barony and serving part time in the military. While he was away, Elizabeth would let Acacia stay in her room and they would stay up baking cupcakes and making art, sometimes by soaking the bread in paint and then throwing the cupcakes at empty canvases. On nice days, little Acacia was allowed out to play in the fields or on the beach. She developed a friendship with Ansley Crawford, the families themselves getting along well as neighbors.
Overall, Acacia had a pleasant enough childhood, raised away from the courts for the most part. Her mother taught her the ways of a proper lady and had tutors brought in for her schooling. Acacia developed a number of hobbies to keep herself entertained and was thoroughly spoiled by her father, who even had a stable built when she declared she wanted a pony. By the age of 10, Acacia had all the manners and knowledge expected of a proper lady, as well as excelling at all her chosen ventures.
Fast forward through the timeline of mostly happy memories, girlyness, and boring noble stuff.
Acacia is now 18, two years past the official marrying age, and her parents are concerned. She’s a beautiful and talented young woman, single, with a impressive dowry and no man in sight. Thomas and Elizabeth decide that it’s time to send Acacia to Nova to scout out potential suitors and refine her manners.
As such, she is officially representing her family in the courts and thus carries the title of Baroness.
