On the day following the siege when Adrain sought out medical help at a clinic to recover from some fairly serious wounds and ended up walking into a very interesting situation with a lovely fallen angel, he arrived as promised early in the morning through a purple rift. Today he wore a fresh set of black robes with gold lining and the symbol of the Arch of Ages on the shoulders. Upon meeting with Tres and having her follow him back through the portal. There would be a purple rift that Tres would walk through briefly to the other side of the portal with a seemingly trippy cascade of purple and black clouds going on endlessly.
On the other side of the portal, a large room would sprawl out before Tres. A number of benches and large crystals would be strewn along the walls. In the center of the room, a magical field of energy would suspend the wing of Helena. Near the stasis field were more tables and crystal vials, one of them filled with black fluid. A large potion cabinet would be not far off with a large variety of alchemical supplies, potions, and other relevant items and tools. There were large bookshelves lining two of the walls in complete with a few couches and short tables.
Perhaps most prominently where a pair of golems by the door. They were made of crystals in a humanoid shape, a large blue crystal in their heads forming as the eyes. Energy suspends the joints together, the golems seemingly equipped for a guard duty and for defensive purposes.
"Welcome to my laboratory, Some of my equipment is in storage but everything we should need for the research is already here. If you wish for any refreshment let me know and I'll have a golem retrieve it from the cafeteria for you." he says, approaching the suspended wing and looking at it. He holds his hands up as arcane symbols and rings begin to manifest around them. Lines of energy begin to approach and interact with the wing as Adrain's eyes begin to glow white.
"First thing, analyzing the composition of the wing, the flesh of the wing seems to be incredibly resilient compared to normal flesh, mana woven into each cell to drastically increase the binding. The balance of which this is done is exquisite, any imbalance likely leading to severe mana corruption. It may be possible to replicate an effect like this for a limited time.." he starts out, continuing to look at the wing and analyzing it, open to input from Tres at any time.

The day after a random stranger burst through her infirmary doors, she met with the charming man again the next day at her front door. She saw him through her front window, and left her home, locking the door behind it with a charmed lock. She saw a portal before her that was swirling with different shades of purples and blacks, creating an illusion that tired her eyes. As she walked through it, she felt dizzy. The purples and blacks formed clouds over her eyes, but the dizziness was short-lived as they appeared on the other side of the rift.
A large room appeared before her eyes, expanding into Adrain's laboratory. She saw the the walls were clothed in an array of various crystals, and that benches were pushed against the walls. She saw a few cabinets that she believed would hold his alchemy supplies, as well saw that Adrain had a mini-library of sorts. Tres was intrigued and took note of books, to check it out for herself later on.
In the center of the room stood Helena's wing, suspended by a field of manna. Tres had originally assumed that Adrain had taken it as a trophy, and seeing it on display now, Tres understood the appeal of taking it as a trophy after the battle he had endured. However it was there for research purposes, so Tres had to look at it with a critical eye.
Tres looked at Adrain as symbols began appearing before him, and his eyes turned white. She was in awe of his work, so much so that she needed a moment to take it in. But her moment was short lived as she came back to reality when Adrain spoke to her. "Oh, yes, of course. Some water would be lovely." she said.
She approached the wing, moving close next to Adrain to see what he was seeing. She knew that the flesh of the divine differed from those of the Novurian world. Their skin was far firmer, difficult to break the skin on impact, which is why it was so impressive that Adrain retrieved a wing. The genetic makeup of the flesh of the divine was bound by divine manna, which was far more powerful than the manna Novians were exposed to.
Tres looked to Adrain, she hadn't dissected a divine limb before, only repaired them, so she hadn't a single clue how to move forward. "So the effect of an imbalance would trigger what sort of reaction from the wing's genetic makeup? Severe manna corruption could lead to what reaction? Something good for us I suppose?" she asked.

Adrain nods to the request for water and looks at a golem, waving his hand as if sending a command to the construct. The golem activates and walks out of the room for about ten minutes, returning with a crystal glass filled with water that is perhaps slightly too cold at first gulp.
"It would probably be incredibly disruptive towards the divine in question, though the body would be quickly trying to recuperate, at least that is what it seems since the way mana binds the flesh is almost like a series of locks and keys." Adrain says, walking toward a leather bound journal nearby, pulling a quill out and rapidly drawning a complex chemical-like diagram with symbols for various elements displayed and interlocking with other fragments. Some forumlas were present, but chances are the entire thing at a glance wouldn't make any sense at all to Tres.
"This is a diagram roughly of what the manna in the flesh of the goddess looks like, it is a complexity of balance that illustrates the difference as compared to normal mana. Normal mana is flexible and able to be polarized to on element or another while this is all elements at the same time while not being any." he says as he then looks at the wing with a shrug.
"In any case, I believe with enough practice I can replicate this mana effect at least for a limited time. Using this I could probably go head to head with Helena or any other attacking god for a small time, but the next part is figuring out how to pierce that protection. When Helena's wings were severed, an incredible amount of force in a physical blow was used. Maybe using a hyper dense 'bullet' of energy and kinetic power it can start a disruption process, especially if said bullet is loaded with wild mana such to spread and try to short out the system. Alternatively, it can be loaded with a spell that attempts to pull energy into a void causing another disruption ripping it from the inside out.." he says with a slightly dark chuckle. "That sounds so painful, I hope that I never have to try to cast such a thing." he states having something of an ethical threshold he would like to not surpass if a situation ever did turn into one that would need combat.
"Moving on, I've noticed that when manna is channeled through the wings, the feathers stiffen and become steel-like, perhaps even harder than steel. The feather tips turn sharp forming an interesting method of attack. I wonder how practical it would be to try to create a shield or cloak of some sort from the loose feathers I collected from the battlefield that day." Adrain says, his gaze shifting to a sack on a table near the alchemy cabinet.

Tres stayed silent as he commanded a golem to retrieve some water for her. For some reason this morning, she felt dizzy. Almost as though she felt a headache coming on. Her headache probably came from the overuse of her healing magic yesterday. Healing Adrain did take a toll on the angel. She would have to wait and see how she felt later on.
Tres followed Adrain as he scribbled in a notebook. Tres couldn't comprehend the manna-like science diagrams he scribbled on the paper. However she was intrigued. "What does this mean?" she asked out of curiosity.
She mostly listened as he explained his observations. She had never been in this scientific environment, so Tres wasn't sure what she could contribute if anything.
After listening to his thorough explanation, Tres' mind went wandering. Would taking a sample of my DNA be beneficial to uncovering what could penetrate the defensive forces? My genetics are of divine origin, and being able to compare both the genetic makeup of what is from her, and what is hers may help you in deciding which method to pursue.
Seeing the Golem return, she grabbed the glass of water from it and took a large sip. The water was icy cold against her teeth. She made a quiet humming sound out of shock from the cold liquid hitting her teeth, and placed it on the table. The siring cold only amplified the headache he began to feel. "Ouch!" she said pressing her index and middle fingers against her temple. She began massaging them to relieve any pain.

As Tres asked about the symbol, Adrain leaned the journal toward Tres as he guided his finger across the pattern. "Raw mana is neutral, chaotic, and flexible. 'Divine' mana is more organized, hardened, stable. It binds all forms of mana into one, it makes sense now. It is the difference in how mortal mages can create potent effects but Divine abilities tend to eclipse them by a significant margin. It is also the difference that almost all mortals can never close the gap with." he states. This diagram shows the way it is configured, it is complex but able to be copied, though I don't think I could sustain such a state for long, it must come natural to those of the 'divine' element. I haven't been able to isolate what attribute makes it easier for a divine to sustain that energy in the few brief moments of analysis I have done since I started researching this."[/b] Adrain says, then taking a breath and allowing Tres to process this for a few moments.
As Tres made a slightly odd offer to Adrain about something called DNA and gentics, the archmage had a blank look on his face. He tapped his right temple as if trying to remember something. He walks over to one of the bookcases, fingering across the books looking for one before pulling out a tome, flipping through the pages and looking through it.
"DNA...Genetics...a fated mentioned this once, it is similar in concept to the mana breakdown grid but for biology...perhaps that would be useful for isolating elements of the divine." he says, then turning to Tres once she exclaims in pain. He notes that she's rubbing her temple, raising a brow.
"Headache or something? I think there is something in the alchemical cabinet for that..." Adrain says walking over to the cabinet in question and opening the container, rummaging through the jars of crystal vases before pulling out on with a pink liquid. He takes it and walks to where Tres is, offering it to her.
"It's a herbal type of remedy that a number of students use during their studies to alleviate migraines, hopefully it can do something for you."

She nodded as he explained the similarities and differences between mundane manna and divine manna. She could see that he was in his prime, studying in his lab as much as he seemed to. She played it off as she didn't know the difference, however in her time in Nova, she had read up on theories of the divine and had some understanding of what he spoke of. Although she was knowledgeable, she remained silent, listening to him passionately lay out the diagram and speak to her in an all-knowing tone.
Tres saw his confusion when she made mention of "genetics" and "DNA". She knew them as generic terms, and thought Adrain would understand. What I meant is you can observe the way my genetic material interacts with my divine manna... though I'm not sure what remains of it considering I am fallen. But it is worth looking at a sample at least, for testing purposes. her tone turned into a hush as she finished, Is it weird to offer up a sample of yourself? she thought for a moment.... perhaps...
After feeling the pain in her temple, she watched through her peripheral as he rummaged through his things for what seemed to be a temporary remedy. Upon first glance of the bottle, she saw the swishing pink liquid in the bottle. It was unlike anything she had in her clinic. It was even unlike anything she had read about.
She wrapped her slender fingers around the bottle, and took it into her grasp. She examined it with questioning eyes, but before she could give it a second look, Adrain explained it origin. If he trusted her enough to heal him, and she trusted him with her past as she had, what would make her doubt him now?
She opened the bottle, took a quick whiff, found it sweet-smelling, and swallowed the whole contents of the bottle. The medicine had a sweet but earthy taste to it. In fact, Tres quite enjoyed it. Nothing happened instantly, however she did feel the headache start to alleviate.
She then set the bottle on the table next to her glass of water, took a sip from her water, then continued to examine the wing with Adrain.

"So, granted what I've said is just the information I've observed so far of the wing using arcane scanning to try to narrow it down. If I am off base do let me know as such, being an angel you might have some information I couldn't have even begun to guess was available." Adrain says. He always left room for second thought, no part of science, magical or otherwise was ever completely immutable. There was also the fact he didn't want to come across as ignoring Tres in any capacity, even if she had been quiet til now. She was intelligent enough to be a healer and a doctor so she probably had more of a grasp than she was letting on.
As Tres offered again and clarified the genetics and dna with divine mana, he nodded.
"A comparison would be helpful, yes. I suppose maybe a feather from one of your wings would be the most comparable to this, or I can try to extract marrow from Helena's wing to compare to your blood, though that might damage the wing we're considering replacing your missing one with so that might not be the best idea.." Adrain says, musing the potential ideas.
As Tres took the bottle and looked over it, then drinking it and seemingly more pleased which Adrain took as a sign the medicine was working quicker than he thought it would, he turned back to the wing after a moment to let Tres settle after the water.
"What is really interesting is more subtle though. There seem to be two distinct energy patterns, while both divine, a smaller portion seems as if came from another source. She also seemed to be able to drain or nullify energy based on a couple of observations I've seen in the field when she more or less shrugged off the attacks Nyx, the other angel, used against her. Was one of Helena's abilities some sort of leeching or absorption?" he inquires looking at Tres. When he gazed at her eyes, he couldn't help but admire them for a moment. Even fallen, she still had divine qualities, her eyes especially .

Tres recognized that Adrain was trying to ask for her input, she wasn't sure what else to add. No, you seem to be on the right track. she said. Angelic magic and divine creation/ divine morphology.
Tres, holding onto her pendant, used the cloaking manna to reveal her wings once again, leaving the glow of a bright aura around her "My feathers are molting, so that seems to be the most feasible option. We do not want to damage the condition of Helena's wing, so why don't we just use a sample from me, and use it to compare to the manna structure in Helena's wing." Tres shrugged her shoulders a bit.
"As you said, removing a sample from Helena's wing could damage it, and it would be beneficial for it's later purpose that we leave it be." she said, agreeing with him.
After drinking the substance, Tres felt her cheeks flush to a bright pink colour. She felt warm on the outside, and felt her body start to naturally cool down. So she wiped the sweat from her forehead with the back of her wrist, and tried focusing on the wing.
"Mhmm, yeah actually. That's an excellent observation, especially in the heat of battle. It is one of the many tactics that she uses to weaken her enemy. Sort of unfair play, however it's effective." she said sounding flushed. Tres' breathing slowly got heavier and heavier. "Is it hot in here... or?" she said almost whispering.
"Anywho, back to the wing. Have you seen how the manna interacts separated from the body versus attached?" she said muffled.

As Tres grasped her pendant and revealed her wings once more, Adrain couldn't help but admire her radiance in this state. It was sort of a shame that she chose to hide them most of the time, but she had her reasons. He walks over to her when she offers one of the feathers, he approaches behind Tres and looks for one that would cause her the least discomfort in removing them, deciding on one looser feather at the tip, caressing the area momentarily as he plucks it as quickly as he can figuring it better than trying to be gentle and tugging it too much.
Adrain would then put the wing in a bubble of mana near Helena's wing and go the analysis once again, looking upon the feather and the wing alternating. After a few minutes of this, he speaks once more.
"Your manna seems to have a little bit of divine aspect left to it but is weakening as far as I can tell. I see a few possible leads as to what the divine element may be be but it'll require more indepth analysis and experimentation to figure out. Mostly me risking blowing up my own body trying to integrate it into my cellular form and seeing what happens." he says half-jokingly.
As Tres confirmed the suspicions he had about Helena's abilities, Adrain nodded. "I have an ability to absorb mana myself that roots in biology. I don't really use it for a number of reasons, but I wonder if I can expand on my ability by integrating elements of Helena's. Maybe that is what the key would be to breaking divine protection."[/b] he says then looking at Tres as she says it seems to be hot. He rose a brow, hoping that the medicine didn't do more harm than good.
"It is a little warm, I may have the fire crystals emitting too high." he says as he holds his hands up and a small patch of ice manifests, blowing cool wind on Tresor. When Tresor asked how the mana interacts separately versus attached, he shook his head.
"I'd have to get Helena or another deity to cooperate to get a good answer to that question. I can assume that the longer it's separated the less stable it will be. Once it's transplanted onto you that will be a good opportunity to see what happens. As far as this second energy I can detect goes, it seems to be almost opposite of Helena's. While Helena's is dominated by Shadow mana with other elements woven in, this one has Light and Fire much more prominent. I will try to pull it out of the wing since it's not as firmly attached and not native to it. It could cause complications when the time comes for surgery anyway" Adrain says as he holds his hand out and his eyes turn white as he focuses on the wing for a few moments. A couple of sparks of mana could be felt as a small mass of radiant energy begins to manifest in the air between Adrain's hand and Helena's wing, close enough that Tres could feel it.
"I don't suppose this senses familiar to you, does it?" he inquires as the ball grows slowly in size.

Tres noticed how Adrain's eyes grew softer whenever she revealed her wings to him. It was almost as though he looked at her more fondly when she did not hide herself. When he examined her wings from behind her, she blushed. Trying to hide her admiration for him.
Feeling a quick pluck from her wings, she felt a slight shock of pain that caused the feeling of pins and needles to run up her spine. Her wings were sensitive from lack of use, leaving the skin where the feather was plucked red and bumpy.
She watched Adrain observe the feather, and compare it to the wing. Tres hadn't realized it, but her eyes were growing a tad foggy, and her pupils were dilated. "Well, we don't want a repeat of that now don't we. Now, I'm surprised that my divine manna hasn't depleted more than it already has... Considering it's been a year since I've been stripped of my...lifestyle." Tres was trying to piece together some sound thoughts, however she felt as though she was disoriented.
Her headache was relieved, but there was something else to it. She decided to ignore it for now.
Tres felt the crystals blow a small gust of wind across her skin. It sent shivers through her body, a sensation that almost aroused her. She felt goosebumps creep up her skin. Tres began to look at Adrain in a different light, his interests in the magical, the godly, and of manna properties made her feel attracted to him.
Still having a bit of sanity left in her before the medicine kicked in, Tres shook her head, and listened attentively to Adrain... Or at least she tried her hardest to. She felt a few sparks from the manna of the wing as Adrain tampered with it. The energy in the room, blended with the cool air from the crystals around them, made Tres' senses heighten. "Manna of light and fire? Considering the fact that Helena can use her absorption tactics, perhaps it could be of another deity." she paused a moment, "But I am unsure who... Perhaps Ai or Vanessa?" Tres was only spitting out different ideas.
Tres couldn't concentrate, or keep her thoughts in order. Tres picked up the bottle of medicine again, examining it for a label of sorts, or residue in the bottle that could give her indication if that was really just headache medicine. However, there was nothing she could detect.
Tres felt flushed, a fondness of Adrain almost growing from within her. The warmth she felt suddenly spread through her veins, being pumped from her heart. She tried hiding her warmth, and reached for the glass of water quickly in an attempt to cool herself off. But the glass fumbled in her hands, and spilled all over the front of her dress. She set down the glass on the table, staring at the water on the floor, thankfully none of it ended up on the examination table.
Looking to Adrain she softened her eyes, to make them resemble those of a helpless animal. She felt herself changing her physical mannerisms to try and seduce him. "Oh... Silly me." she said in a very innocent and hushed tone. "I've spilled all over myself." she paused a moment, taking a deep breath in, biting her lip, and running her slender fingers all over the damp part of her dress. "Could you help me?" she remarked.

"I'll admit I'm not completely sure about what the starting point was but I suppose that may be of some use to you to know you might have some potential to use divine energy in a pinch. As for blowing myself up, isn't that the reputation mages are supposed to live up to, doing crazy experiments that end in disaster?" Adrain says with a small laugh before focusing on the project once more.
Adrain didn't notice Tres' more obvious moments of confusion, arousal, and fogginess at first, figuring that she would watch and input when she saw fit. When Tres suggested that it could be another deity that was attacked, the mage folded his arms over his chest in thought for a moment.
"Interesting...I would be surprised if it was Ai, isn't she supposed to be Mylee's wife or however that's supposed to work. Vanessa...it makes more sense I guess. I sorta wonder what she would have done to piss off Helena or was it an assignment of some sort. I'd imagine Vanessa's worst crime would be pulling people out of the shower naked for blind dates for the blossom festival." he says clearly still a little annoyed at how that transpired last year.
When Tresor asked Adrain for help, he turned to her seeing that she looked a little more...helpless? "Uh, sure I suppose." he says to the seemingly harmless request, closing the gap between himself and Tres as he held his hands over where the wet spot of the dress was as the air begins to heat up, gradually drying up the wet spot. His concentration would be on maintaining a heat level such that he didn't accidentally immolate Tres or some other unfortunate mishap, leaving him open to whatever Tres might conspire.
Meanwhile the ball of unknown divine energy grows a little less stable with Adrain's concentration split, Tres could potentially manipulate it if she had any experience in the past of manipulating loose divine energy.

Tres let out a seductive giggle intentionally after Adrain made a quick joke. But she caught herself, and continued to listen to him. She felt the medicine slowly taking over her senses in that moment, altering Tres' behaviour and mannerisms, and changing who she was as a person. Her eyesight was foggy, but she felt her senses heighten.
This new Tresor noticed that Adrain was not reciprocating her seductive temptations. Watching him as he dried her front, she bit her lip, and placed her hand over his, guiding him as he dried the water from her dress. Tres began to stare him in the eyes, trying to send a message of adoration and interest.
This new version of Tresor was impulsive, seductive, and hungry for Adrain. Watching his confusion only made her more and more frustrated.
She felt an energy shift in the room, and accessing what remained of her divine manna, she shot her hand out, focusing her energy on balancing the unstable energy of the wing. Her gaze was fixed, looking at the ball of energy. She shot a look at Adrain. "You should be more careful. Divine manna is sensitive, especially in a state like the one the wing is in." Tres bit her lip slowly, and with her free hand, grabbed Adrain's collar and pulled him closer to her. "And I thought you were knowledgeable about all subjects pertaining to manna and energy..." she said in a raspy and tempting tone.
Finally she pulled Adrain in for a kiss. Tres' lips were surprisingly full and soft for being as thin as they were, they almost resembled the shape of tulips to the touch. She kissed him passionately, all while maintaining the energy alteration of the unknown divine energy.

Adrain did note that Tresor was acting a little odd, but initially he racked that up to her being bored of the research process. She didn't seem to have as many points of input yet, though Adrain may have been talking too much to let her get a word in about it. He didn't want to make her feel pointless or left out, so he was trying to encourage input more. At the very least he wanted to show her that her input mattered.
As he tried to dry her dress, he felt Tres' soft hands take his, nudging them closer to her body. At first they move closer, but as he is about to make contact with her breasts, he pauses and withdraws his hands, moving them to a more honest height. Her eyes twinkled of something that wasn't immediately clear to him.
Her abrupt hand shooting out and interacting with the ball of energy caused him to turn his head quickly. It impressed him in a way that she noticed it and was able to so quickly and completely recontain it. Maybe observation had inspired her to tap into abilities that she forgot she could do?
"Right...I thought I had contr..." he starts as he then finds his collar grasped and drug towards her, looking Tres in the eyes much closer than he was moments ago, blinking awkwardly. When she taunted him a little about being knowledgeable he looked down, wanting to sigh slightly but not breathe directly in Tres' face.
"Well, I consider myself knowledgeable but Divine mana isn't something we've had a chance to catalogue from the scientific angle as of yet. Perhaps we shoul..mmmph!" he then exclaims as Tres lunged forward, passionately kissing him. Adrain's face reddens instantly, forced to reciprocate for a few moments before he finds a way to squirm out of Tres' admittedly stronger than expected grasp, attempting to recompose himself.
"Ah...that was unexpected. I'm starting to think that the second energy source is Vanessa, possibly influencing you due to your former divine nature. Lets ah...try to recompose ourselves and continue working, yes?" he says, trying to turn away back to the wing, unaware of the trap that may have just been sprung. His face remained red as even he had to admit he had certain thoughts about Tres just now after that.

Tres was waiting to feel his hands against her chest, as her intent was to bring his hands against her just so. However, his hesitation proved that he was not willing, and made Tres' sexual drive only sky rocket with frustration. But she complied for a moment until the kiss.
Adrain seemed to be reciprocating the kiss, so Tres only kissed him more passionately, until he managed to pull away from her stronger-than-the-average-woman's grasp. He didn't seem to enjoy the fact that she was so attracted to him. He seemed frazzled, and flustered as he was as red as the glow of the heated crystals. That only made her smile, because she now had the satisfaction of seeing him off-balance. First and foremost by questioning his ability to detect manna imbalance, and interrogating him on his knowledge on all things Divine, but by also throwing him off guard with her rather forward advances. She only hungered to embarrass him further.
"My second energy source has nothing to do with the raw attraction I am feeling towards you right now Adrain." She said in a raspy tone. She approached him, getting closer and closer, almost as if to back him up into the table behind him. If he were to bump into the table, she would turn away for a moment, and seductively walk away from him, her legs poking out from the thigh-high slits of her dress, and purposefully walking with her butt accentuated. "Besides," she said sternly "this could be much more fun than work..." she turned back to face Adrain, approaching him once again, only quicker, staring him dead in the eye as they were only milometers apart "Don't you think?" she reckoned in a breathy and sexy tone.
Before he could answer, she reached down to his trousers and felt for something she long desired.

Adrain was admittedly flustered by Tres' behavior. She went from polite and knowledgeable to insatiable, voracious, voluptuous seductress in what seemed like an instant. A part of him was tempted to give in to the advance and enjoy the pleasures of her being, but he hesitated seeing as she wasn't entirely herself. If Vanessa's energy was influencing her and he took advantage of it, he felt he would ruin a friendship he might have with Tresor.
While he tried to focus once more on the work, Tresor declared that the energy wasn't influencing her. The mage wasn't sure if he believed that since if one was under an influence they might not exactly admit to it or be capable of doing so. He turns to face her, then backing up a little as she approached, indeed bumping on the table. When she walked away and exposed her legs and wiggled her butt, his eyes couldn't help but be drawn to them.
Then before he knew it, Tresor had charged the gap with more seductive banter and her slender fingers attempting to reach the south pole. At this point he jumps and smacks against the table, nudging it a few inches and looking at Tresor with half confusion, one quarter horniness, and one quarter uncertainty in his eyes.
"Ah..Tresor, perhaps you should sit down? I still say you may be under some kind of influence and uh...well it might not be entirely right to take advantage of you in that state. Besides, you are a beautiful woman but we are here to do work yes?" he says, once more trying to shuffle away, fighting his own temptation.
