Rules of the Crypt
The Crypt Explained
Every once and a while we do the activity check; those who do not meet the posting requirement or do not post in the activity check are graciously moved to the crypt. At these early stages your character in the story is considered missing. If your character is not removed or claimed from the crypt in three months’ time your character is considered ‘deceased’ And we as staff get to choose the manner of death. After this happens your character sheet is no longer available for you to reuse.

The first character you have in the crypt is a free claim; if you take an absence from the site and have multiple characters that were moved to the crypt in your absence then you may choose one to take from the crypt. The others however you will have to meet the post count requirement of 15 with your active character; and resubmit for re-approval by staff. There is no guarantee that your character will be approved again for reasons that will be listed below.
To submit an application for re approval you must PM Mysteria or @lilith on the site. Skype does not count and the PM must contain the following.
Name of Character:
Last Thread with Character:
Reason for Absence:
What did they do then?:
Requirements
- First character is free others must meet and exceed post quota with active character.
- To remove a character from the crypt you must have at least 15 posts made by a active character.
- A request must be PM'd to Mysteria or @lilith or @numaire ; reason must be given for your characters absence and what they did while they were absent from the story.
- Character must be resubmitted for re-approval.
Reasons your character might not be re- approved.
1. If you’re an older member many of your powers may have been grandfathered in after the site has gone through some rule changes. Once your character is in the crypt those grandfathered in spells are no longer applicable and need to be re approved. If they are in conflict with the new rules then you will be asked to change them.
2. If your character played a major part in the story and suddenly disappeared, in your absence staff has had to come up with a reason for your characters disappearance along with put in game consequences for that character. Mainly so other members can move forward in the story without gaps in the plot line caused by your characters absence. If you’re unable to play out the consequence which sometimes can mean the possible death of said character then your character will not be re approved. Staff will let you know about any in game consequences of your characters absence.
3. It has to make sense for your characters return and what they have been doing while missing from the story; excuses such as poof he/she was gone and oh my gosh now he/she is back is hard to write in if they played a major roll in the world. So at least give us some clue what your character has been doing while MIA.
