The castle servants were woken up before the crack of dawn. their task; To prepare the Grand dinning hall for the Party fit for a King! or two depending on how things go sense it seemed Kanto's King had decided to grace the Kingdom with his presence. So today the Servants were forced to run around the castle decorating the halls all the way down to the dinning hall. Which was locked at first; no one opening the doors sense the Winter Ball a year or so ago. The doors opening up to a Dust filled room from being ignored for so long. However, the speedy preparations provided by the servants turned the gloomy room into something spectacular! The decor that was chosen was bohemian style; which the entire grand dinning hall was decorated in this garb of colored sashes and wild Forever Forest deer antlers and furs. There were some flora within the room; All tropical style plants brought in from Kanto on the large cargo ships that docked out in Nova's harbor.
The aroma of spice and incense filled the ballroom as servants tossed in sweet smelling herbs into the gallon drums of burning coal that heated the room. The smoke filtered out by large fans that were powered by rope and man to turn the fans . The tables in the room were long and set in a U shape pattern. The king's chair placed at the center of the U for all to see. While the tables were filled to the brim with food. Wild boar and deer along with other game caught within the Forever Forest; all prepared for this feast. All gathered by Aria and other hunter’s hired by the King. After all, everything had to be perfect. The decor, the Food. All prepared by castle servants and the food by a chief that had been hired into the King’s staff.
The smell and feel of the room was exotic; the aroma almost mouth watering as colorful desserts were brought out next and scattered among the many entrees that covered the table. All finally set; the day turning into afternoon while the sun began to set over the horizon. The colors splashing the sky in a orange, yellow, and blue hue. The Guest of honor would be arriving soon along with the other Noble members of the court and family.
It would be a matter of time before everyone would arrive; The servants finishing the last bit of prep before patiently waiting within the room for their employers and betters to enter this quickly set up Dinner Party.

Melda Delsaran Vanya The court had been informed of this dinner long ago, and the King only wanted a certain kind of attendance. Only people close to the royal family. Somehow, that included Melda. By all technicalities, Melda was beyond close to the royal family. Though she wasn’t close with Noku as a person, she’d been there when he was born, when he was crowned, all of it. And she was extremely close with his father, respecting him for the king he was. The Queen too, when she had lived - peace be on her soul. Noku had distanced himself from Melda as he grew older, for reasons she had recently learned - or at least, she assumed those were the reasons. Regardless, she was to be there. She’d met the King of Kanto, Noku’s uncle, on more than one occasion, being close with Caine and Luka as she was. Though it had been years since she’d last seen or spoken to him.
Melda had prepared properly for this dinner, choosing her gown with plenty of time, as well as her accessories and hair style. As she dressed, she kept her mind blank, having no expectations for how the night was to go. On the upside, Aria was to be there. It had been quite some time since she’d seen the up beat red head, and Melda quite looked forward to it.
The gown she’d chosen was the exact one from the last big event; it was gold, and exquisite, lovely embroidery over the arms, bodice, and part of the skirt. The neckline was a box, and the sleeves ended at her wrists. It was her go to event gown, and for obvious reasons. Her hair was braided up as usual, twisted into a lovely pattern at the back of her head, however for a slight change of pace, Melda chose to have some strands stay loose, curling them lightly to frame her face. She also chose to wear her her motherly lovely crownlette this day, the metal painted silver, with two delicate metal leaves on either side and a pearl in the middle, a slight dip leaving it sitting in the middle of her forehead. Around her neck was a simple snowflake charm, resting respectfully in the dip of her collar bone.
Melda, once fully prepared, set out. She was still not used to traveling to such events alone, even when still within the castle, as Diamond used to accompany her, however, that was not the case. After a long pause and a sigh, Melda opened the door to her chambers and exited, closing it behind her.
Upon arriving, two guards opened the door to the dining hall for her, and as usual she was the first to arrive. She liked it that way. She could wander and spectate and form opinions before anyone joined her. The hall was decorated splendidly. She loved the theme, and was glad her gown seemed to match for the most part.
Awaiting more to join her, Melda stood by the table, not daring to sit just yet, and would mingle when the chance arose.

Theo, to his surprise, shortly after being officially invited into the court of Nova, received his first official invitation to a dinner party as a member of the Nova Court. Filled with excitement, he was eager to arrive. He wanted to prove his place within the court, so after putting on a proper fitting of a maroon and black velvet suit, underneath he sported a black vest embellished with gold threading and accents. The cuffs of the suit jacket, along with the collar were black, and the rest was in the velvet maroon fabric. His slacks were the same colour, except not in a velvet fabric, and in a fabric that was more comfortable and durable. Theo did his hair slicked back with a sweet smelling oil that would hold his hair back in place. Theo also sported a gold cuff that he inherited from his father. The cuff had a distinct print on the front, and a crest in the middle, along with the initials of his male ancestors before him.
Once Theo was ready, he made his way through the castle by himself. He confidently strutted through the halls, eager to start this important dinner. Not only will he have the opportunity to formally introduce himself to the King, but he will also have the pleasure of meeting the King of Kanto. This great opportunity would set Theo on the right foot as an official member of the court, and he looked forward to it.
As he arrived at the dinner party, two guards opened the heavy but very detailed doors for him. Theo nodded in thanks to them, then continued into the room. The air smelt sweet and musky with incense, and was decorated with deeper shades of colours, all following the theme of Bohemia.
Theo scanned the room to see if any other parties had arrived, and noticed his aunt Melda standing near the table in a beautiful gold ballgown. Theo waved to her to catch her attention, then wandered over to his aunt to say hello. Once he stood before her, he bowed as a formal introduction. "Duchess Vanya, you are looking lovely this evening." he smiled containing his laughter as it was bizarre for him to call her by her formal "Duchess Vanya". As he waited her response, he looked to the doors, waiting in anticipation for other members of the noble circle to arrive.

Out of bed and released from the infirmary at last! Her cough was all but gone unless she overly strained herself and she had regained enough strength to be moving around for short periods of time. She had spent the majority of the day getting ready for the party. Sending Noky to fetch her things as she used the castle baths to bathe. The drake arrived with her things all packed away in a nice trunk like how she left it. Aria used a spare room to get prepared for the dinner. When her hair was dry she allowed it to be left down; letting the soft waves drop past her hips. Only part of it was pulled back and pinned with a stunning hairpiece. A series of ornate thin branches made out of a white wood formed a half crown. Even the branches by themselves were pretty to look at; the way they weaved in and out of each other in delicate tendrils. The look was only enhanced by an array of live rich green leaves, littered with small buds, which by dinner would be fully bloomed into an array of flowers. By the end of the night the flowers would sadly have died off and the rich green foliage would turn into a stunning gold. The effect happen so slowly that it was easy to miss the subtle changes.
Aria slipped into her gown; the main piece was sleeveless with a sweetheart neckline and made with a gorgeous silky white material that hugged her hour glass curves. Flaring out into a long flowing skirt just below her hips. Usually the dress would have a large slit running up the side; however she wore another skirt underneath made with flowing opaque chiffon. An addition that only enhanced the beauty of the dress. Gold leaf material wrapped around her left breast and swept down the front of the gown and to the hem. A gold belt with a feather design, inlaid with turquoise jewels that matched her eyes hung off her left hip. Gold chains also hung decoratively from the belt, meeting at a pretty deep pink tassel. She slipped on her detached transparent sleeves; held up by ornate gold armbands. The transparent material with lacy hems opened up at her elbow flowed down in a water fall style to her knees. The dress was completed by a lavender colored one shouldered cape. The cape at her shoulder was embellished with a gold clasp, and turquoise drop hanging from the soft material that draped over her left shoulder. The long part of the cape fell down to the bottom hem of her dress which trailed gracefully on the floor. The hem lacy much like her sleeves.
She did her makeup, darkening her eyes with kohl and darkening her lips only slightly with a shade of pink. She slid on gold bracelets and earrings which were inlaid with more turquoise. Her outfit was completed when she slipped her dainty feet into lavender silk shoes with white floral embroidery around the edges. On top of each shoe a pretty red jewel was inlaid; usually they paired her father’s amulet. But that amulet was in the hands of her lover now. Satisfied with her appearance she made her way down to the grand hall for dinner.
The jet black drake with piercing gold eyes fallowed closely beside her; Aria just recently allowed out of bed had not nearly gained her old strength back. The young drake provided the support she needed to get around. He was now just slightly larger than an oversized dog; his back reaching Aria’s hip. Allowing her to lean on him when she needed support. When they reached the dining hall, the doors were opened allowing both Aria and her drake to walk into the hall.

The entire castle had an air of refined excitement this night, or at least that’s how it felt to Lucinda. The day of the royal dinner party had finally arrived. Preparations had begun weeks ago, of course, making it a highly anticipated event. The royal family didn’t often get together in this way, making the night quite a special occasion indeed. All three branches of the Noru family were to be in attendance as well as many close friends and higher ranking nobles. Lucinda, being the princess of Palico, was of course one of those that had to attend. There wasn’t much choice really but she wasn’t unhappy about that. Mostly, she was just excited and a bit nervous. She focused that energy into getting ready for the party, spending a good hour digging through her closet, her drawers of accessories, and her jewelry. Eventually, she decided that it would appropriate to finally make use of the gifts that Uncle Noku had given her. The gifted dress was exquisite in design and very elegant. The form of the dress was simple. The material started with a sweetheart neckline that was trimmed in lacy, grey material and short, off the shoulder sleeves before hugging her body until around her knees where it flared into a loose skirt in what was classically called a mermaid style. The dress was mostly light grey in color, a bit somber for her mood, but beautiful nonetheless. Beginning at the bottom of the dress, was a simple yet elegant design. The entire hem was white with the image of snow and out of the snow rose a single white tree, the long thin branches reaching up and fanning across the entire dress. The sleeves were made of a thin ribbon of see through grey material. Around her waist, tiny almost unnoticeable silver hooks held a thin veil of lacy, grey material, the same as the sleeves. The veil fell to floor, fanning around the dress almost similar to a cloak and had a beautiful celtic design sewn into the hem. Along with the dress, Uncle Noku had given her a pair of silver metal arm cuffs. The design matched the hem of the veil and had an opal centered over the back of her hand. A matching necklace made with the same design and hung with short chains and more opals completed the set. She actually had a pair of simple opal stud earrings that she decided to wear with it. They’d match without outshining the necklace. A pair of white, low heels completed her ensemble. Satisfied with her outfit, Lucinda turned her focus to her hair and makeup, summoning her chambermaid to assist her. She lined her eyes in a very light grey kohl and colored her lips a pale pink. Her hair was separated, the top half braided and pulled back, while the bottom half was left down. It was held together in the middle with an elaborate pin that was shaped like a cluster of snowflakes and tiny opal leaves. After one last look in the mirror. Lucinda left and made her way to the grand dining hall. She entered, staring around the room in wonder and breathing in the heavy scent. The atmosphere was perfect and the decorations and setup were magnificent. She glanced over the tables, her eyes widening at the amount of food. It all looked so good too. She felt a rumble in stomach and laughed quietly to herself, the slight blush that rose to her face adding just the right amount of color to perfect her look.

The day had finally arrived. The Dinner Party that the King dreaded for few weeks. Noku quietly and slowly dresses himself within his study; slowly putting on each article of clothing with a grim expression. He finished buttoning his white tunic top; the sleeves long ad cuffing at his wrist with gold trim. The design on the tunic unseen; Hidden under a deep navy blue vest that had gold leafs and golden elegant Dragons embroidered within the fine quality leather. Around his shoulders cuffs; Wolf’s fur trimmed and met a his vest collar. While a ivory cape hung at his shoulders by a golden clasps on his vest. The inside of his cloak matching the same navy blue color of his vest.
His crown was silver and polished with rubies, sapphires, and other precious gems. His hair combed back and the side of his head was tightly braided back into a half pony tail. The rest of his hair free flowing and cascading down his back and resting at his waist line. His pants were ivory in color, tucked into calf high royal boots leather boots with silver clasps. The very last thing he put on were his gloves; which he wiggled his fingers into the leather in a frustrated manner.
Noku frowned at the thought of the Dinner Party. He dreaded this day with every fiber of his being; He wished he could just crawl back into his study and day-dream of the silver maiden he was become very fond of in the past few weeks.... However King Galahad would be arriving any moment now. He would have to face the man he hadn’t seen in over 13 years; 13 years of living with a daunting regret and hatred for the bastard that he played nice to. Would he approve of such an arrangement with her being not of royal blood? Had he crossed a taboo that possibly even the old man himself couldn’t forgive? Possibly even send him into a stroke? Noku smirked at the thought, trying his best to calm his nerves as he paced the small room for anything else he needed for this ‘event’.
With a deep breath, Noku finally left his study and slowly traveled down to the ball room. Upon reaching the ball room doors, two guards bowed and opened the door, announcing the King’s arrival loudly for all to hear within the grand dining room. Upon entering, Noku stared at the decor with amusement. Perhaps this could pass….. Noku’s eyebrow twitched as he stepped further into the ballroom and noticed Aria and the other familiar faces within the room. His nerves shot, though he seemed rather rigid the closer he got to his chair. His features stoic as he breathed shallowly and had a servant pull out his chair for him to sit. “ Bring on the musicians and performers. “ He whispered to the servant that pushed his chair under him for him to sit. “ Yes your majesty.” The servant nodded, backing away and leaving the room for a moment before returning with a group of colorfully dressed men and women; Some in which carrying instruments and other odd things to perform with. Each person taking a spot within the ballroom to perform. At least now there was something more to distract the royals than to bore themselves with meaningless conversation. Or at least that is how Noku felt as he sat as his spot at the table with his legs crossed. At least it was only one king he was having to entertain. Noku sighed, trying his best not to make too much eye contact with everyone within the room with his nerves on edge.

Silas took one last look at the looking glass in his chambers; satisfied that his hair was situated just so. His teeth gleamed; and he would be so bold to say that his clothes made him look dashing. The tall handsome specimen of a man was still in the prime of his youth. His light straight platinum blood hair was cut short; his bangs curled off to the side giving them a slight poof that the ladies seemed to love. He had a long face with a strong angular jaw line; and skin which was slightly tanner then his cousins pale complexion. His tan complexion was brought out even more by the evergreen of his well fitted tunic that showed off his broad shoulders. A gold chain belt hung at his waist, with drakes engraved into each metal piece. Each of the drakes had jeweled eyes of different colors. He wore darker green pants with knee high black boots. He situated a gold crown upon his head; it studded with emeralds and diamonds. The finishing touch was a black one shouldered satin cape. Satisfied he gave himself a wink in the mirror and was off.
As he entered the hallway he was delighted to glimpse the very reason he had chosen to come to this lovely dinner put on by his dear cousin. His uncle made his way down the hallway causing Silas to beam “Good Evening Uncle Galahad; it truly has been too long. Would you care to join me in conversation as we make our way to tonight’s festivities?”’ As they walked along Silas made light chatter with his uncle. Pausing only when they reached the doors to allow the guards to announce their arrival. As he walked in he immediately sited upon his sister Lucinda. ”Lucinda come say hello to uncle.” He waved her over; while scanning the room for the other participants in the evening’s festivities. His eyebrows raising in alarm when he noticed his duchess was among them….with her drake... ”Lady Wurud; I’m surprised to see you here, are you feeling better dear?” He turned his gaze to the golden eyed drake whom was so fondly named after their dear cousin…”I thought I got rid of you…..” He looked back towards Aria giving her a look that said she better make that thhiiing behave. He turned back to Galahad seeing how introductions should be made. ”Uncle Galahad, you already know my sister Lucinda, but allow me to introduce Palico’s newest Duchess and head dragon trainer Miss Aria Wurud Champion of Saden.” He knew Kanto rather favored Saden and was quite pleased to show of the newest gem of his kingdom.
After he introduced Aria he turned to his sister ”Lucinda you look stunning this evening, it would seem cousin does have a rather good k’nack for picking out women’s clothing. It suites you very well.”

The sound of Galahad’s boots hitting the marble floor echoed with every step he made. His expression somber with a serious tone to his overall appearance. The older man was tall. His hair slicked back and a mixture of grays and blacks. His beard well trimmed making his jaw look rigid and pointed. His eyes were light blue, almost silver with bags of age against his sun baked skin.
His garbs black and gold, the theme obviously bohemian style of a sailor. The fabric made of light material and cloth. In which the vest he wore exposed his battled riddled chest. The wounds old and scared over with dark tissue. A gruesome sight to those who never experienced war or battle. So it was obvious to glance down and notice the scimitar sword at his side, sheathed in a wrap and decorated in Kanto’s finest imported jewels.
The King of Kanto looked up with a hearty grin at his dear nephews greeting. “ My dear boy you have grown!” Galahad paused seeing the royal colors of a monarch and smirked at his mistake. “ I guess I can not call you a boy anymore huh? It’s different when you become King, An of course I would join such accomplished man to this… So called Dinner Party…” Galahad seemed to change his tone at the words ‘Dinner Party’ as he followed along behind Silas.
Their presense announced the moment both Kings entered the room. Galahad’s eyes following every face within the room. His attention falling upon the so called Dutchess Aria Wurud and her ‘pet’ upon entering the room. The moment Silas began talking to her, he ignored the conversation between the two and looked over to the beast. The drake looked rather young; He couldn’t possibly be trained enough to be in such close quarters? Such nasty beasts…Galahd thought before speaking.
“ Is that beast tamed enough to be in here? I’ve never seen a drake that would listen to its master for long.”
Galahad frowned, looking over at Aria for a brief moment before glancing over his shoulders at the others in the room. So far only two faces he recognized other than the family members that began walking into the ball room. He recognized Melda and Theo, but he barely knew the two nobles from years of being within Kanto.
When he finally looked back to Silas; He was waving Lucinda over to them. His brow raised as he looked at the young maiden that Silas pointed out to be the young princess. Once again a face he hadn’t seen since she was a babe; An her father was alive and breathing as King. A forced smile appeared on his lips. “ No...It can’t be… This is little Lucy? “ Galahad amused; remembering the little girl that once stood no taller than his knee, now a grown woman.
“ You look radiant my dear.” Galahad nodded, giving the princess a respective bow. His attention moving over to the tables, where he saw the one person who he came all this way to see. His smile dropping into a more serious tone as he stared at Noku who sat to himself. “ Boy, You dare not greet your family upon entry?! Where is your manners and Respect…” Galahad barked; approaching the table and stopping just on the other side. He stood there with his his left hand rested upon the hilt of his sword as he looked down at Noku from the other side of the table. “ Hello my Nephew.. I see thirteen years of my absences has made you have a lack of manners.. So I guess it’s up to me to do the greetings…. “ Galahad paused cracking his neck, while still looking down at Noku. “ Good Evening, King of Nova, I am flattered you have decided to shabbily put this together for my return. I can not wait to see what else you have instore for this evening… I hope it's not a waste of my time.” Galahad sighed, taking a few steps back and looking over at the entertainers who had began entering the room. “ Well this is more like it.” He smirked, waving his hand to a servant to ask for a drink.

Lilith had been both terribly excited for this day, and terribly scared of it. Noku had invited her; that was the good part. She got to do something with him, with his wish! But it was in front of people… very important people… that was the scary part. She didn’t know exactly who all was attending, but she knew they were important. She hoped to all the gods that at the very least, Aria was there. Lilith had been up since dawn, barely able to sleep as it was, prepping. Her hair had been brushed four times, the platinum locks now shimmering down her back in the morning sunlight. She’d gone out and chosen a gown a couple of weeks ago, - nearly the day after he’s asked her to attend - and it hung on her wall now, staring at her.
Before she put it on, she did the rest. She added some pink to her cheeks, knowing full well her pale face needed it, but also knowing full well that once she started blushing, she really wouldn’t. She applied some lip stain to her softly pink lips, darkening them to a subtle rose colour. She did nothing to her eyes, finding that she liked them the way they were. To her hair, she braided a lock on both sides of her head, bringing them back to meet at the nap of her neck and tying them together into one braid. The rest of her hair remained down and straight, ending just below her knees. She tucked in strands of lilac to the braids in the back, adding a lovely accent to her eyes and to her skin tone. Around her neck she wore a beautiful green gem stone, resting calmly in the dip of her collar bone, and that was the extent of her jewelry. It was time for the dress.
It was a shimmering blue colour, and it clung to her form perfectly. The neckline was the sweetheart type, something she usually avoided out of modesty. From there the dress bellowed out with a soft sheer fabric of ice blue, little blue gemstones patterned down it. Underneath the sheer, was a far darker blue, ending at her ankles. On her forearms were ringlets, part of the dress and also blue, and from them dropped down more of the sheer fabric, blending in beautifully with the white gloves she’d chosen. On her feet were black flats, having no time for heels, nor the want to wear them.
Just in time, there was a knock on her down, and she rushed down to open it. Noku had told her Yul would be escorting her, as for obvious reasons she couldn’t arrive with him. Sorry for my lateness Lady Harmonia! The man rushed as soon as the door was open, bending immediately from the waist. Gods she wasn’t used to this. It’s fine, but we must hurry, yes? Lilith urged him out of her doorway, locking it behind her.
Yul escorted her to the castle, then door the ballroom from there. The last time she’d been in that room was when she unknowingly danced with the King, only to be interrupted by her naive boyfriend of the time. He had yet to learn the customs of this world- she hoped he knew better now. Once standing before the door, Lilith took a large breath as it was being opened, preparing herself. The sight before her was splendid, art for her eyes. The colours were gorgeous, and her hand itched to paint. Then the faces registered in her brain. Melda. She’d met her once before, but not the man next to her. Lucinda. She’d seen her portrait and heard her name thanks to Aria. Aria. Oh thank Gods, she was there. Noku… A radiant smile reached her lips as her eyes landed on him, her nerves calming for just the moment. Yul stood behind her, as she no longer needed his assistance, and she entered the room, now seeing two men she’d never met before. She didn’t know where to go, who to walk towards. Aria was with those men, and she wouldn’t very well walk up to Noku, or the Duchess she’d hardly met. Lilith decided to remain where she was, a few feet from the door.

Aria stood surveying the room her arm resting along her drakes back as she slightly used him to support her weight. The drake put up with the extra weight without complaint. Her attention turning to the doors as Noku was announced; poor guy looked like a nervous wreck. Aria turned her attention back to the door as Silas and the guest of honor was announced. Causing her to inwardly grown, even more so when Silas seemed to make a beeline towards her. As they approached Aria kept her displeasure from showing on her face as she dipped into a curtsy; for both Silas and Galahad. ”Good evening; it would be hard pressed to keep me away. Some of my favorite dishes are being served tonight.” Aria turned her attention to Galahad, the man Noku was dreading. She looked up at the man with a calm expression set upon her scarred face. Lifting her hand off to the side; allowing the black drake place his chin in her hand to be scratched. A little stream of smoke drifting from his nostrils as he kept a lazy gold eye trained on both the men whom approached. Aria really wasn’t too keen on the look that Galahad was giving her drake; however it was understandable. Drakes weren’t known for their pleasant demeanors. ”Then it will be a pleasure introducing you to a new experience your highness.”
As he called Lucinda over and amused smile flitted itself across her features; as yet another person called Lucinda Lucy. Seeing how his attention was taken off herself; Aria took the time to slip away. Noky keeping up right beside her; his claws clicking along the marble as he walked. She decided to go see Noku while Galahad was still distracted. As she walked over she took a small flask which had been hidden within her bosom and unscrewed the cap to take a small swig of the strong drink. ”Your looking chipper” Galahads distraction didn’t last long as he now seemed to be appearing to be making his way over. Aria stood where she was; her drake positioning himself behind her. Though now he was distracted by looking at the many colored gems that was in Noku’s crown. She had to fight back a deep frown as Galahad spoke to Noku…she now fully understood why Noku held a dislike for the man. As Galahad looked away, Aria casually placed her flask on the table and slid it over to Noku. All while spotting Lilith who had just entered the room. A smiling spreading across her features as she waved to the elf who had taken so much time over the past few weeks to tend to her.

After weeks of debate Yuki that maybe attending the dinner party wouldn't be so bad after all having dinner alone in her room wasn't excited. Taking a quick bath she looked at her clothes that she had picked out between one of her darling blue and white dresses and her other darling pink and white dress. Settling on her pink and white dress she quickly slipped into it as she looked in the mirror. It was floor length with two layers to it, the under layer was an off white while the other layer was a pale pink. The white layer had little curly designs on it with two ruffled sections in the middle overlapping each other while the top was straight across neckline. The other layer around the middle had 4 pink bows in it that looks like it was keeping the top layer together around the dress. Turning once to the side she smiled her handmaiden had tied the bow at the back of the dress it was a beautifully done and she couldn't think of anything better. Sitting down at her dresser she took out a white lace choker that in the middle had a light pink gem that was in a gold farming snapping it carefully around her neck she turned to look at her hair. After running a brush through it quickly she settled on just letting her hair be allowing it to rest on her back tieing it off at the end with a white ribbon. Giving herself a once look overseeing that she looked decent enough to attend the party but still plain enough that she wouldn't attach any attention after thanking her handmaiden she took a few more minutes leaving. Still feeling a bit nervous she left her room making her way through the castle to the grand dining hall. Each step she took she just wanted to turn back and head towards her room to hide this wasn't her kind of thing, other nobility and royalty made her nervous. Before she could chicken out she had already arrived at the grand dining hall. Nodding to the guards she took a deep breath as she opened the door for her. Her eyes quickly took in the decorations in the room before looking to see who had arrived already. Spotting Lady Aria first mostly because of Noky seeing that she was talking with Princess Lucinda and of course King Noku. The other two gentlemen she wasn't sure who they were but she could guess that one was the King of Palico and the other was the King of Kanto. Seeing that she couldn't just waltz over there and talk to them she looked to see if there was anyone else she knew. Other than Lady Melda but she didn't feel comfortable walking up to her since she only spoken with her once. It was at that moment that she notice that Miss Lilith was standing next to her seeming as nervous as she was and wondering where to go. "Um... Good Evening Miss Lilith." Her voice came out a bit softer her nervousness evident in her voice. Outfit: Dress

After spending some time at the castle, Leon noticed some chatter about the arrival of a king and the upcoming party to celebrate the king’s arrival. Wondering if he arrived at a bad time Leon walked back to the room where found that there was a letter there which after opening and reading through the contents it seemed it was an invitation to the dinner party. With the note in hand he wondered whether or not to attend as he went through with his regular days of going to the training grounds to practice his archery and head back walking around the castle trying to meet others. As the days past Leon realized that the day of the dinner was almost upon him and decided he would join for two reasons, first was to at least represent his family letting others know of them, and second it would be a nice time to introduce himself to whomever who lived in the castle which he has yet to meet. As he went to his wardrobe and checked to see if he had any clothes that would be suitable to wear for such an occasion, moving through the clothes he found a some presentable clothes though it wasn’t his ideal clothing to wear as he believed most of the clothes made for nobility seemed a bit too stuffy and difficult to walk in. In the end he grabbed the outfit and made sure to have it cleaned before the party. Leon was pacing his room as he wondered if he should attend, but after a few moments he dismissed his worries, finding a comb he parted his hair to the side so it looked more presentable and did not cover his face, afterwards he walked towards the bed where his clothes for the night were and proceeded to put it on. Putting on the outfit he looked in the mirror thinking that the clothes were way too stuffy he went to his desk and took out his necklace and put it on tucking it underneath his shirt before walking to the hall. When he reached there he looked around realizing that for the most part he never met or talked to most of the nobles in the room. He walked around listening to the chatter around as he wondered who he should try to converse with. Outfit

Melda Delsaran Vanya Shortly after her arrival, her lovely Godson Theo entered the room. Quickly enough he acknowledged her and made his way to where she had been standing. A smile presented itself on her face as he so elegantly demonstrated some of the things she had taught him, bowing for her, and using her Court name. And you look very dapper yourself Duke Bankes. Melda responded, a laugh hidden in her voice. They were never so formal with one another, but in the presence of today’s guests it was wise to be so. He had done well, and she was proud. Are you ready for this evening? It’s certainly going to be interesting. Melda mused lightly, looking around the room as other people made their entrances.
Surprisingly enough, Aria was behind one of the doors when it opened, accompanied by her faithful drake. Melda had visited her once or twice while she’d been cooped up in the infirmary, but she hadn’t been sure if the red head would be able attend the dinner. Melda was happy to see her however, and should Aria look her way, Melda would give a courteous head nod with a radiant smile for her friend. Next came Lucinda, who seemed to migrate immediately towards Aria- no surprise, though she also seemed very attracted to the food- not that Melda could blame her. Then came their faithful King, whom Melda so admired. After he made his entrance and moved to sit, Melda motioned to Theo that she would be moving towards the King, should he choose to join her. ( This being before the other major guests arrived. )
Melda curtsied first and foremost, her head dipping lower than she would to any other. Good evening your Highness. She stood upright. It only took a glance at his face to know he was already dreading the evening, so Melda felt the need (As someone who was around when he was born, and watched him grow into the man he is today) to try and cheer him up. The decor is amazing. Everything looks splendid. So, I want you to stop worrying. I know its going to be a long night- but you’ll survive. You always do. Melda bowed her head once more, waiting for the Kings reply.
Once King Silas and King Galahad entered the room, Melda knew Noku would become far more occupied, so she bowed out, taking a step back so as not to intrude, unless they were to approach or speak to her. Should Theo still be with her, she would motion that he do the same. It was during this time that Melda glanced back towards the door, seeing as the young elven woman made her appearance. Melda wasn’t sure why this woman was so present lately, let alone why she was attending such an event, but she knew the girl was close with Aria, so Melda kept her mouth shut for the time being. She was here for a reason, whatever it was. Not too long after her, Yuki stepped in, look as though she wanted to melt into a pile of goo. With a sigh ( and should she not be previously occupied, for if she were, she would bow out respectively), Melda made her way back towards the door, where Yuki had engaged in conversation with the woman in blue.
Yuki dear, I’m glad you were able to make it. You look lovely - both of you. Melda smiled, having to acknowledge the woman as well, seeing as they had already been talking. When we do all sit, I would love if you would sit next to me. Melda offered to Yuki, a smile still on her face. Melda had agreed to mentor the younger girl, and thus she was her responsibility as this dinner. Having her close by would be much easier.

❖❖❖ Ansley was feeling much better after her visit to home after the whole ordeal of being kidnapped. She was feeling even more better to know when she got back to Nova there would be a large dinner being held with some very important guests. The morning of the dinner she had gotten up early to prepare. Her father had bought her a new gown for the occasion and her handmaidens were putting on the finishing touches. She went to the baths early that morning; this time making sure there was a guard posted at the door. She bathed quickly not spending a moment longer then she had to; but long enough to make sure the oils of lavender and lilac sunk into her skin. When she got out she had her handmaidens do her hair. Her banks were curled to each side and pulled away from her face, fastened under a gorgeous headpiece made out of baby’s breath flowers. The rest of her dark locks were intricately braided up and into a bun. Leaving a few curled pieces free to fall down her back and shoulders. She donned on a pair of pearl stud earrings; along with painting her face in pastel shades. Her lips were a light rose; and her eyeshadow a dusty pink that faded into a slightly darker rose shade near the corner of her eyelids. Her cheeks had the faintest amount of blush giving her a healthy glow. Around her neck a short string of pearls with a small gold bead separating each pearl. The pearls just resting above her collar bone. Her dress was a work of art if she did say so herself. The neck line and sleeves which fell slightly off her shoulders were made of silk pink flowers; simply gorgeous. The bodice had little crystals sewn into the pale pink material which stopped just a little below her thin waist. The skirt was in two layers, the top which split open in the front and trailed down in the back, was made with an see through pink material that flowed down in waves. It reminded her of petals on a rose. Underneath that was a silky pink skirt that poofed out in a grand ball gown fashion. Crystals sewn in a floral design arched up from the bottom hem. She simply loved it. Her shoes were white slippers with a slight heel and embroidered with pearls and crystal. They certainly were the perfect piece to finish her outfit. Once she was finally dressed she grabbed a white lace fan to take with her; both for decorative purposes and practical. She then made her way down to the ballroom where the dinner was being held. All giddy with excitement. She was announced like most guests when she entered; her eyes scanning the room for faces she knew. She at once spotted the firey red mass of hair that was Lady Wurud; her dress equally as stunning, the way the silk moved like liquid was pretty to watch….but the dress itself most certainly form fitting. Ansley would kill to have a body like that….to bad about her face though. In Ansley’s opinion the woman would have rivaled the statues of the goddesses if not for the hideous marring of her face. The flaw certainly ruined the effect. Her eyes then scanned to see the newest additions to the court, and likely the oddest due to her ranking, Lilith. Odd that she would be here considering she was just castle staff….but Oh how she envied how gracefully and naturally thin elves seemed to be; however the dress had her blinking and looking down at her own chest. Noticing that both Lilith and Wuruds dresses were more than definitely showing off some of a ladies finer assets. But oh my! The dress was a gem in itself; it reminded her if the first frost on a babbling brook. No doubt a gift from whom ever decided to bring her here; she doubted a commoner could afford it. She continued to scan the hall; looking at all the gowns and comparing them certainly was one of her favorite things about these dinners. She noticed Princess Lucinda’s gown was also form fitting, it seems a trend had been started and she was kept out of the loop! How embarrassing! She would certainly have to see if she could get a couple of dresses in that particular style made. She was relieved however when she set eyes on Dunchess Vanya and Baroness D’avranches both sporting ballroom gowns like herself. Dunchess Vanya was wearing the elegant gold dress she had worn to the party a few months ago; still stunning as it was then. Though she would imagine the duchess may become warm later on when the evening progressed. Lady D’avranches had chosen a pink pallet like herself, and had adorably done herself up in bows and frills. It fit the sweet young bubbly personality the girl had so perfectly. It was the young Baroness whom was going towards the commoner elf. Seeing how she was curious about the non-nobles addition she made her way over to the girl as well. ”Good Evening ladies; Lady D’avranches you look absolutely adorable in that dress! You pull off the sweet look so wonderfully. You as well Miss Harmonia, the new castle healer correct? You look lovely as well; I’m curious where on earth did you find such a gorgeous dress?” Ansley gave the girl a warm smile. Certainly the answer would clue her into whom invited the girl. Ansley however was momentarily distracted when two visiting kings were announced. To which were quickly greeted by the princess; and soon Aria when she was called over by Palicos King…Ansley blinked. Was that a giant lizard next to the woman??? She blinked …how did she miss that before. It seems the King of Kanto had noticed it as well for he shortly after made a comment on it….to which the red head responded to. Ansleys mouth dropped open; unable to hide her shock. ”Did she just sass a king?….” She watched the woman with the balls of steel strut on over to Nova’s king…all while pulling a flask from inbetweenth her breasts. She glanced back over at the King of Kanto watching his expression; the man seriously looked scary. His little nephew though looked handsome; and charming though. She took out her fan and veiled the bottom half of her face. Letting her eyes linger for a while before turning back to the other two ladies in her presence. Soon noticing that Lady Wurud was calling over one of them. It had to be one of the two in her company, for she didn’t know the woman that well. It seems it was Miss Lilith who was called over. As Lilith left them Ansley turned to Yuki, a smile on her face. ”So Lady D’avranches; forgive me but I do like to gossip. Do you have your eyes on any of the eligible men here?”❖❖❖ Tagged: N/A Words: -- OOC: Dress

Post by Sima Oratio on Oct 26, 2016 6:23:02 GMT
Sima showed up a few hours early to prepare for the dinner. His attire was a pure white shirt that was double buttoned down the middle, a black pair of pants, and a chef's hat, which he had conveniently tucked away his hair, which it made it stand straight up. He had a few people to help him prepare the large feast. As for what to cook, he had decided days ago. For the appetizer was Pancetta Crisps. A thin piece of Pancetta, baked, and then prepared on a pear slice, topped with goat cheese, and a light touch of honey. It's a salty-sweet appetizer, tastes delicious, and looks gorgeous. Although the serving size was quite small, Sima felt that making 2 for each individual attending should be a fitting appetizer.
The main meal would be Lambchops, with a balsamic reduction. Although a simpler dish, Sima had made it thousands of times. It was a perfect dish for couples, looked great, and tasted great. It was easy to make for two people, so making each individuals plate a high quality meal became an easier challenge with this dish.
The lamb chops were to begin cooking immediately, and Sima's nose kept track of everything that was cooking. It was his advantage in the Kitchen, and it allowed him to cook almost everything to perfection. Presentation was the only thing he ever struggled with, however he was putting his best foot forward, knowing impressing these nobles would do wonders for his business.
Sima began preparing the plates, heavily scrutinizing the help he had, double checking each plate. He caught a few of the Kitchen help cooking certain things too low, or too high. His nose could fine tune how the food was being cooked, by being able to smell the smallest burns, or oils that seep out of cooked meat.
Sima then made his way to the deserts, which was his specialty. This was where Sima shined the most, although he was an amazing chef in all fields, he loved making desserts, because you always remember the desert right?
Although the first dishes were simple, they were elegant, and tasted great, he was confident in that. However, once they tasted his desert selections Sima would feel more than happy. Sima decided to go with a few choices for desserts, making a full blackberry cheesecake, salted Caramel chocolate tarts, and one of his favorites, a brown butter rum cannoli. Sima attended to the meals religiously. Sima checked the time, realizing that a vast amount of time had passed. He did one last pass on everything, preparing the plates, for presentation. He then figured it was probably getting close for the dinner to start.
Sima made his way quietly to where the dinner was being held. He could hear them talking, and he already noticed many familiar smells of people he had already met. His eyes adjusted lightly as he silently peaked into the room, before entering. He quickly noticed a familiar smell to someone he wasn't familiar with. He quickly noted that person as King Noku. He recalled this smell once before, but why did he know the smell? Sima made his way in, bowing politely to the nobility. His eyes looked up only to meet the scent of his former flame it seemed. His heart rate rose rapidly, amd he seemed to almost lose his composure. There were many questions to be asked. Or, mamy questions he knew he could never ask. "I just came in to notify you all that I have finished preparing your meals. Whenever you are ready, we can bring in the appetizers." Sima stood, regaining his confidence, and would wait for a response before bringing in the meal, and telling them about the dish."
