Aria sighed finishing yet another book; placing it upon a stack of books that was now above the level of the bed. The books were kindly brought to her by visitors; at least brought when she was awake. She had been placed on strict bed rest and for the majority of the time that she had been in the infirmary; she had been passed out cold on tonics and feeling like death itself.
Three weeks ago she had begun to feel under the weather, but with the party to plan she ignored it. Luckily to keep track of everything she wrote things down as she planned them. Keeping in mind about keeping the budget reasonable. She also had started the plans for the greenhouse addition to Tres’s clinic. Along with overseeing the construction of her island home. With all the running around she didn’t even notice the cough she had begun to develop; until it turned into powerful gut wrenching hacking. When she finally developed a quickly sky rocketing fever, Garrett brought her into the infirmary. Since then she had been placed on strict bed rest with a bad case of pneumonia. All her careful planning for the party was then handed off. Luckily she had gotten a good chunk of the preliminary planning.
It wasn’t until two days ago she began to feel better enough to join the conscious world; her strength was not back yet her cough though better was still present. So she was still required to stay bed ridden. So her she sat propped up by pillows; flipping through book upon book for entertainment. The party was still a few days away hopefully she’d be allowed to attend. But at the moment she just wanted conversation; she was quite bored and a bit pekish.
Aria's appearance was not surprising disheveled; her hair was a wiled knotted mess and her skin almost the color of the white blankets the surrounded her. She was in her night clothes with a light blanket slung around her shoulders. She yawned debating on going back to sleep...and then again not wanting to. She was still run down but being stuck in bed so long had made her more the restless. Luckily Noky her drake; whom sat at the foot of her bed had kept her company. He was getting big enough he almost didn't fit on the bed. Which was particularly why she made sure during the planning of the construction of her home that there would be enough room to accommodate the drake when he reached his full size.

Yuki had a small basket in her hand with her tea set sitting inside it, she had gotten a new shipment of tea this was today was a dark chocolate milk tea it took a while for her to brew it herself. At the moment she was heading on her way to the infirmary after her changes with the ring she been feeling sick once a month during her moon cycle and been seeing the healer for a special brew that got rid of the sickness so that she could enjoy her meals without it showing up again in a bowl at the side of her bed. So far she has been able to keep her sickness from her mother and the other nobility of the castle and wanted to keep it that way.
Looking down into the basket as she slowed her pace a bit as she started to wish that maybe she should have made some cookies to go along with the tea, but it was too late for that and she hoped that whoever the healer that was in today wouldn't mind her visit with tea. Reaching the door she gave a light push as she called out. "Hello is anyone here?" Her voice soft as not to wake anyone that was resting.
Stepping inside she looked around noticing a head of red hair in a mess laying in one of the beds with a stack of books and wake by the looks of things. Sighing inwards realising who it was one of the few people that she hoped to never run into while visiting the infirmary and she couldn't turn back now. Placing the basket on the chair she pulled it up next to the bed that Lady Aria had occupied. "Lady Aria I wasn't expecting you here." She said as she took out the tea set placing a cup close to Aria. "Would you like a cup of tea?" Asking as she poured herself a cup while looking at the drake that was resting on the foot of the bed it was the first time she seen one up close and it was a handsome creature.

Aria glanced over at the door as it creaked open; tilting her head slightly waiting to see who it would be. Her brow raising as a familiar voice called in; Yuki if she remembered right. Every conversation she had with the girl always left her with a headache. However company right now was not unwelcomed. Noky the ebony drake with the piercing gold gaze raised his head off of is crossed claws. A puff of smoke coming from his nostrils as the unfamiliar female walked in. He looked back at his master who only nodded showing it was ok. With that he laid his head back down; but still kept and eye on the woman who now entered the infirmary.
Aria looked back over at Yuki as she acknowledged her presence. ” Lady D’Avranches” Aria nodded her head in a greeting. “I’ve been here a week shy of a month.” Aria’s voice was still slightly hoarse; sounding scratchy as she talked in soft tones. Aria was surprised when Yuki offered her some tea; ”That sounds lovely at the moment; thank you” Yuki was actually the first person she saw that day; and it would seem the healer was out at the moment. So something to drink was more than welcomed. ”Please pull up a chair and join me. Is everything alright with you Lady D’avranches?” Aria fallowed her gaze as she noticed it trained on the drake who was watching her just as carefully as she was him. ”This is Noky; my personal drake; he won’t bother you….if you don’t mind, you may call me Aria.” Aria wasn’t huge on titles; only time she didn’t give someone permission to call her just Aria in private conversation was when she really very much didn’t care for them.

Lucinda arrived back in Nova and went straight to her rooms to settle in. She sent a servant to inform Uncle Noku of her arrival but before he left, he mentioned that Lady Aria had been bedridden in the infirmary. Concerned, the princess changed quickly out of her travel clothes and into a gown floor length blue gown with short sleeves. It wasn't fancy but it was presentable. Satisfied with that, she hurried through the spring touched halls and to the infirmary.
The blonde poked her head cautiously into the wing. She'd never been to the infirmary before and wasn't sure if she needed permission to be in here. Upon spotting Aria's frail form in the bed though, she decided she didn't care. Lucinda rushed over to Aria's bedside, her hands at once moving to flutter over the girl in a obvious sign of anxiety. "Aria!! Oh my gods, what happened to you? Are you alright?," she questioned, her voice an octave only slightly too high for comfort. Realizing this, she covered her mouth with her hands, her blue eyes still wide and resting anxiously on Aria's face.
After a moment, Lucinda looked up to see Yuki seated on the other side of Aria's bed. She lowered her hands and gave the baroness a smile. "I'm sorry, Yuki. I've been very rude. Hello! I hope you're not also in the infirmary for being sick?"she asked, a touch of concern in her voice. Lucinda didn't know Yuki that well, but that didn't mean she wanted her to be sick or injured.

Nodding her head hearing that Lady Aria been there just shy of a month. It made sense since the last time she had seen the woman was well over a month and that was at the springs she didn't remember how the game ended since she fell asleep and most likely was carried back. Upon hearing the acceptance of her offer of tea she took out one of the other cups and poured some for Lady Aria before handing her the cup. "I hope you like it. It is from the new shipment my family got in today. It is a dark chocolate milk tea."
Before she could hand the cup to Aria another person came bursting through the infirmary doors. Looking up she notice that it was Princess Lucinda she cringed a little at the voice as she looked around wondering if maybe someone else was there and she missed them upon entering. Not seeing anyone else or hear any complaints from another bed she relaxed happy they weren't anyone else in the room with them. Placing the cup on the table next to the bed within reach for Aria.
"I am fine, thank you Princes Lucinda. I only dropped by to see the healer about something and happen to find Lady I mean Aria here." She said smiling while deciding not to fully explain what she came to see the healer about unless asked. "I didn't expect to see her here or find the handsome drake Noky either." She said giggling a bit as she turned her eyes back to the drake wondering how old he might be. "Since you are here would you like a cup of tea as well Princess. It is dark chocolate milk."

Aria’s features perked up at the mention of chocolate; the red head always did have an extreme fondness for sweets. ”You had me at chocolate” Aria was about to accept the cup when Lucinda came bursting in; the abrupt change in volume making Aria wince slightly. She folded her hands in her lap and calmly waited until Lucinda was done her hysterics. As she came to an end Aria rubbed one ear and looked up at the princess with a slightly unamused face. ”Loud noises hardly promote healing Lucinda; I came down with a case of pneumonia and have been be ridden for a couple weeks. But I’m on the mend now.” Aria sighed, clearly unhappy with the situation. ”It’s times like this that I miss my Grandpa Lee Lee’s special touch; sick for a couple days and bam drink one of his nasty concoctions he refused to tell me what was in it and taddaa better in a day or so.”
Aria reached out for her tea with both hands that slightly shook. Her strength obviously severely depleted in the time that she had been in bed. She took a sip; she had been expecting something sweeter, but enjoyed the unique taste. ”This is quite good; thank you.” She took a few more sips; the warm liquid already helping her throat. ”Does your family get new shipments often?” Her attention back on Yuki; the tea was quite good.
When his name was mentioned Noky perked his head up; a certain smugness washing over his features as he knew he was being complimented. Causing Aria to chuckle a bit. ”He’s good when he’s not trying to eat cats…funny considering I believe his hatching as early as he did was caused indirectly by a cat. He hatched shortly after the fire from your chambers collapsed into mine. His egg was in my chambers when it happened; hatched on the way to Palico not even a day after.” Speaking of Palico her attention turned back to Lucinda. ”I assume your brother came back with you? I believe he’s attending you’re the dinner party in a few days. I know I sent the invites out before I was dragged here.”

Lucinda nodded, smiling at Yuki as she answered her question first. "I'm very glad to hear that and you make a good point about Noky," she said, her eyes resting on the drake. She was quite surprised to find him in here as well. When Yuki offered her a cup of the tea, the princess nodded. "Yes, thank you. Oh and you don't have to keep calling me 'princess'. Just Lucinda will do," she answered, giving the girl another warm smile. She was trying, at least, to be friendly. Some part of her was quite sure that Yuki didn't like her for some unknown reason.
The princess's attention was immediately diverted as Aria finally answering, watching as the red head winced a bit from Lucinda's own loud voice. Her face fell into an apologetic look that was mixed with worry. "I'm very sorry. I was very much concerned when I heard you'd been brought here and I let my emotions get the best of me," she apologized, then continued, "However, I'm glad to hear that you are getting better. It sounds like a shame that you don't have one of those, ah, special drinks," she said, a bit of relief mixing in with her tone. "How much longer do you think you'll be in here?," she asked curiously.
As she waited for a response, Lucinda pulled up a second chair and took the offered cup of tea. She sipped it , the warm liquid really hit the spot and was quite good. She made a little 'mmmm' sound before looking back up at Yuki. "This is delicious! Thank you," she said, before taking another long sip. She listened to Aria explain about the drake, smiling in amusement. "Noky is certainly a very unique drake. He's well suited for you," she commented, her tone sounding quite pleased with this.
When Aria changed the subject to ask about Silas, Lucinda nodded. "Yes. I tried insisting that I could handle it and represent Palico well enough on my own but he insisted. I'd imagine he's probably gone to speak with Uncle Noku," Lucinda answered. Their arrival had been very low key, despite being visiting nobles. Lucinda had pleaded with her brother to keep it that way, not wanting the attention. Perhaps there would be a more formal welcome later, at least for Silas. Lucinda half lived in Nova, as it were.

Yuki was glad that she brought her full tea set or she wouldn't have had enough cups for everyone. Looking into her basket minus the one cup for Lucinda and herself she only had one cup left for a fourth person if one was to show up. Pouring a cup for Lucinda and allowing her to accept it she picked back up her cup and took a sip of it drinking enjoying that it wasn't an overly sweet tea.
"It does have a little bitter after taste for chocolate." She said knowing that when it comes to chocolate most people think of something sweet. When Aria asked about her family shipments she tilted her head wondering if no one ever mentioned it since her family is known for trade when it comes to tea. "Yes, my family is one of the few noble families that handle the trade of tea and in recent years we have added specialty crafted tea sets. We tend to get a new shipment of tea ever week if the weather is good."
"I am still sorry about that, I didn't expect that I would have been gone from the room that long." The night still fresh in her mind she had just left her room for a few moments to get something to eat only be sat down to eat a proper meal causing her cat to knock down the candle and since she been gone a long time it caused the room to go a blazed.
At the mention of the dinner party, she just continued to sip her tea, she had gotten her invite but in all, she was thinking of turning it down. It did say that it was optional for her to attend since she wasn't a member of the royal family or a close friend and she wasn't a high ranking noble. Letting the conversation shift as she continues to enjoy the tea some of the few joys of the day that she looked forward to in her busy life.

[Not surprisingly, Serenity had been in and out of the infirmary, checking in on her boss. Aria had been gone to her island for a while, and during that time Serenity had been taking more care of her shop, making sure it stayed alive and well. Both of her housemates had moved on so she’d had a lot of free time on her hands. That was, until someone mentioned that Aria had been brought into the castle to be monitored. Once Serenity knew that, she headed there the next morning and she’d been checking in on her daily since then.
This day, Serenity was running late, having problems with one of the orders that needed to be ready for today. It had taken longer than anticipated, and thus she left later than intended to go visit. Today she wore a lovely blue, black and white combo, the corset around her midsection a splendid royal blue with silver metal clasps. The bustle was black, with the underskirt a slightly lighter blue than the corset. Under the corset was a white blouse, a more modest look in general today- at least for Serenity. Her hair was half down, the rest pinned back and up in a bun to keep it out of her face. The parts that were down were curled softly and resting against her shoulders and back.
Serenity finally arrived, not having a super long walk to begin with, and was surprised to find that her groggy boss was not alone today. That was a first. Serenity wasn’t completely sure who the one woman was, but she recognized the other as the Princess of Palico… it have been a while since they last met, but she was hard to forget. Good morning Lady Aria. I apologize for my lateness, but I had some business to attend to with my shop. It took longer than I had anticipated. Serenity placed down her bag on a table near her bed and pulled out a fresh loaf of bread wrapped in a cloth. She unfolded the cloth and pulled out a dull knife from her bag as well, cutting off the butt end, then another slice and handed it to Aria. This should help, especially with the tea. Serenity spoke lightly, grabbing the butt end of the bread and walking over to Noky, letting him eat it.

”Thank you for your concern Princess; but honestly I’ve had worse. Least there wasn’t any injuries this time yes?” She chuckled; really she was more likely to be carted to the clinic for an injury then being ill. Aria nodded agree it was unfortunate that she didn’t have one of her grandpa’s healing concoctions. ”Yes; though I’m more then sure he tried to make them taste as bad as possible; so at least my tongue has been spared…I’m hoping now that I’m up and my fever is gone and I’m no longer infectious that I’ll be able to leave within a day or so. I’ve honestly been here long enough.” She still sounded sick though; but one could certainly tell she was sick of being bedridden.
Aria looked over at the door when yet another person came into the infirmary; well wasn’t she popular today. Aria nodded her head in greeting waving off the apology. ”Do not fret over it; unfortunately I don’t really have anywhere else to be.” Aria accepted the piece of bread with thanks; noting her drake eyeing the food that was obviously being kept away from him. Causing Aria to raise a brow; he didn’t even like bread. But despite that he wanted it judging by the look; probably because it was something that was being guarded from him. Aria rolled her eyes and broke off a chunk of the piece that was given to her and tossed it to the black drake. Whom caught the tiny tidbit in his mouth and gave a smug ass look to Arias handmaiden. A look which caused Aria to chuckle a bit. Aria turned back to Yuki when she explained that her family was in the tea trading business. Her eyebrows raising when she mentioned that they also specialized in custom tea sets. ”Special crafted tea sets? I received an anonymous gift of a very gorgeous amber tea set a few weeks back. Along with a portion of my favorite type of tea. One of your families I presume? I’m quite fond of the set now.” Yuki was one of the last people she had expected the gift to come from. But her ability to choose the gift to the person receiving it was certainly remarkable. Especially when neither of them knew each other very well. ”If the giver of the set was you; I would like to express my thanks. Not only for the set but for the tea as well. It’s like a taste of home.”
”I don’t know if you know each other but on the off chance that you don’t; Yuki this is Serenity my handmaiden; Serenity this is Yuki D’avranches Baroness of Nova.” Haven given the proper introductions Aria took the time to take a bite out of the piece of bread that had been given to her. It did pair well with the tea. Aria looking over to Yuki who apologized for the fire; something which Aria no longer held hard feelings over. Though she thought this might have been the first time Yuki actually apologized over it. The last time she just blamed it on the cat. It certainly was the first time she took part of the blame. ”Don’t fret about it much longer; Drakes along with dragons need extreme heat in order to hatch. Noky here has proven to be a very lovely companion; so see this as something positive that came from the incident.” Aria turned to Lucinda and nodded agreeing he was a good companion for her. ”Indeed, I realize he’s supposed to be an outside companion even more so when he’s full sized. But he behaves himself so well indoors; learned from yours I suspect. Plus he reminds me of my old gorge hound…who was a bit bigger than Noky is now. Though he doesn’t chastise me nearly as much as Old Thorne use to.”
Aria nodded when the confirmation of Silas’s arrival was made. ”So three kings; one party. This will be amusing” More so considering Noku wasn’t fond of either one of them it would seem. Either way no way in hell she was missing this. ”With the party so close, they better let me out of here today; I’d like to at least have enough strength to be able to attend. Plus I’m curious to meet another Noru and pick his brain.”

Lucinda smiled again at Yuki as she explained about the tea. “I can taste that but it is very well balanced. It’s really very good,” she returned, honestly. “It occurs to me that we have not actually seen each other in quite some time, Yuki. How have you been since last we spoke?” she questioned, her tone sounding warm, curious, and gentle.
She turned her attention back to Aria as she began to speak and occasionally still sipping the tea. Lucinda nodded in agreement when Aria mentioned that she should be glad it wasn’t injuries. “You are most welcome, Aria, and you make a very good point. With you, it really could be anything and certainly I am very glad it wasn’t anything worse,” she said, smiling earnestly.
Her eyes turned away from both Aria and Yuki as she heard the door open once more. She was curious who else might be joining them and soon received an answer when Serenity entered. Lucinda kept her face carefully calm as the redhead came into the room, greeting Aria and beginning to tend to her. The princess hadn’t spoken with the handmaiden in quite some time so her impression of the other woman was not much changed. That didn’t mean she couldn’t be polite however. “It’s good to see you again, Serenity. You’re looking quite well,” Lucinda said, giving the woman a friendly smile.
The princess smiled wider as she watched the exchange between the two women and the drake, listening as Aria explained about his good manners. She laughed lightly. “Ally would be quite pleased to hear that and I thank you on her behalf. You’ve done a wonderful job with both of them really,” she said, her tone clearly praising.
Lucinda’s face fell a bit when Aria turned the conversation back to Silas however and she sighed, anxiety tightening her eyes. “I’m not sure ‘amusing’ is the right word. It will be something, to say the least. I have spoken to Great Uncle Galahad in quite sometime though so I am looking forward to that,” she answered, her tone lightening a bit at the end.

The infirmary door creaked open as a unexpected guest walks into the room with the four women present. As Diamond walked into the room as the man was checking in on a few of his men awhile back. But he had heard that Aria had become rather ill and it did make the man slightly worried. So he asked a few traders in the area of a particular item and he had been in luck as one merchent had it. "Well it seems that someone has fallen under the weather a bit" he said and was carrying something with him. It was a slightly large box "Greetings Lady Aria, Lady Yuki, Princess Lucinda, and you as well miss" he said to each of the women and placed the box he had on a clear table. To his slight dismay though it seemed that someone had brought some tea. Which was something he had not counted on but still, perhaps his gift might help out later. "I do appologize Aria for not coming by sooner. My new rank with Noku has been keeping me busy. I brought you a gift to help with your recovery. Its some medicinal herbs and teas, some of them kind of rare at this time of the year......I do appologize if I was enterupting something" he said rubbing the back of his head.
Diamond had been on alert after hearing both rulers from Palico and Kanto were coming to Nova. He had trained and drilled his soldiers really hard. Since this would be a prime time for anyone to try and assasinate any one of the kings. Or cause trouble within the city. So he wanted his men to be ready for anything. He took a quick notice of each of the women there. Lady Yuki seemed ok to what he could see or the best of his knowlage. With the Princess though, Diamond could see a bit of travelers fatuge on her face. And the red head who Diamond assumed was Aria's handmaiden looked rather tired from tending to her lady. And then Aria herself was recovering nicely, but she was still looking a bit green around the gills. His gaze turned to the hatchling of the dragon and went into his pockets and found a piece of beef jerky and tossed it at Noky. Doing it as a small treat to him as the white haired male did respect any dragon he came across.

Yuki nodded her head as Lucinda mention that the tea was well balanced, and that Aria seemed to like it as well. Keeping a small mental note to increase the next shipment of the tea, along with sending a small sample box to a few other nobles but for now, she was going to relax and wait until the healer came back so that she could get her monthly brew. Her eyes turned towards the door as another person entered the room giving a nod of her head towards the woman. "I am glad you like the tea." Her head tilted to the right as she smiled softly.
"That is true. I have been well I still suffer from insomnia but other than that I been well. As for you Lucinda, how have you been?"
As she watches the new woman hand Lady Aria a piece of bread she took out her last teacup and placed it on the table and poured the tea for the new woman. Her fingers almost slipped from the teapot when Aria mention the anonymous gift, it had been a while back that she dropped off the present just a few hours before she had to leave for the family estate for a bit of the winter season. Regaining her composition before answering, "Amber tea set chances are it is one of my families." She said as her cheeks took on a rosy glow feeling a bit embarrassed that Aria found out that the present was from her, but she wasn't going to admit it, the tea set had taken a while to get as for finding the perfect tea well that took some time since she had to promise her mother that she was going to try and uphold her family name and take a more active role in the family business.
"It is a pleasure to meet you Miss Serenity. Would you like some tea." She said as she gestured to the cup that she had poured just recently. Nodding her head as Aria mention that drakes need extreme heat in order to hatch. She has never been close to any of them and the closest she had to a non-traditional pet was a possible everfawn in the future but that was still going to be a long time off.
Looking up once again at the door wondering who was enter room, to see Diamond with box. At the mention of the tea and some being rare this time of year she perked up wondering which merchant was able to get they hands on rare tea leaves this time of year. "Diamond is it okay if I look at the tea?" Asking because it wasn't uncommon for some merchants to try and pass off a lesser quality of leaves as a rare tea for the season. She had seen it a few times before and if this was the case she was going to have to set that merchant straight if they were one that her family had dealings with,

Serenity snickered lightly. Yeah, for once I actually know where you are at all times. Serenity joked lightly on the fact that it always took her hours to track her boss down once she’d run off. Thankfully she accepted the bread with no protest. Not much to her surprise, Lucinda addressed her within moments of her arrival, meaning Serenity had to play her part. After a moment to collect herself and fold the fabric back over the bread to keep it from hardening, Serenity turned her body to face Lucindas, presenting her with a curtsy. An honour to see you Princess. Thank you, you look quite well yourself. Serenity smiled sweetly. It was very well rehearsed, but hopefully only Aria could tell. She didn’t care if the Princess knew she disliked her, as long as it wasn’t visible to the eye- that was her job. Keeping the emotions hidden.
Shortly after, Aria introduced Serenity to the other woman in the room, to whom she smiled genuinely at; no reason to fake when she didn’t know her. The pleasure is mine Baroness. And I would love some, thank you. Serenity took the cup graciously, moving to stand by Noky. Now that introductions were finished, her part to play was done. Unless Aria needed her, she was better to be seen rather than heard, for the time being.
Another arrival caused the red head to arch an eyebrow, wondering whoever else could be visiting already. It was a man she’d seen around the castle grounds before, but no one she’d spoken to as of yet. When he greeted her, she bowed her head in thanks and greeting, staying where she stood.

Aria chuckled at Lucinda’s compliment ”Lil’Ally was easy; she’s a well behaved creature on her own terms…Noky on the other hand is a hand and a half. Though nothing like my little ones I raised when I was younger…little ones referring to dragons not drakes…. none of them showed quite as much love for cats the way he does.” She looked over at the drake whom perked up at the word cat. Causing her just to shake her head; she loved the drake just as she loved her dragons. ”Dragons at least have the mindset to allow more for compromise and morals… which regulate their behavior while they’re on their own much better...drakes…not so much. So I have to watch this guy like a hawk…even then sometimes that’s not enough. Lucinda did you know I had to learn a whole new type of magic just for this little shitter and cats?” At this point Noky laid his head down and covered it with a single clawed hand. Aria gave him a very pointed look as she knew he knew exactly what she was talking about. ”Well I suppose I should thank him….levitation magic was something I have only ever been able to do accidentally until recently. Granny, well the one I called Granny back home; tried to teach me it since that was her specialty. But I only seemed to get it to work when I was pushed off something unexpectedly. Wasn’t able to do it to another object until Noky here went after his third cat since he’s been here. He had already mauled one right in front of the arch duchess and Lilith……which reminds me Yuki, keep a close eye on your cat. I would actually feel bad if Noky got to it.” She was good at regulating the drakes but frankly she was not perfect at it. Noky still got away from her quite a bit; but the fact he hadn’t mauled a person yet well that was a good sign.
Aria noticed Yuki’s reaction to the comment of the tea set; it would very much seem that she had found the giver of her mysterious gift. Yuki had defiantly not been on the list of people Aria had thought it might have come from. But she was touched that the girl who obviously held no like for her what so ever, had taken the time to pick out a gift that very much suited her taste. ”Well then Yuki; you and your family have exquisite taste and you personally have a talent of matching a set with the owner incredibly well. I thank you. I really do love my tea set; along with the tea you gave me with it. Happens to be my favorite and your timing couldn’t have been more perfect. Is there any chance I would be able to order more from you?...and some of this chocolate tea as well. It’s growing on me.” Aria smiled as she took another sip, it really was good. ”OH and Yuki, before I forget. Would you happen to know a variety of teas or such on the sweater side of things?” She knew a couple of Norus that shared her love of sweet things; stocking up for them now wouldn’t be a bad plan. That and now that she knew Yuki was more the competent in things involving her family business she would very much be going through her now to obtain her supplies.
Aria stuck out her tongue at Serenity’s comment about knowing where she was. Honestly staying in one place this long was driving her nuts. ”I’ve been free ranged since I was 7, and only sorta free ranged before that. Staying in one place for long makes me itch…though seeing how you are my maid I probably should give you something to get in touch with me if you need to… Aria realized Serenity was one of those people that she hadn’t given a communication spell to. Rivers had one in his possession with his watch. However she wouldn’t use it so long as he had it. Roxy had another; and Garrett had the spell placed directly on him. Perhaps she would make something nice for Serenity to place the spell on and give it to her either on her birthday…which she needed to find out when that was. Or Midwinter. As Serenity responded to Lucinda, Aria watched in amusement as her red headed friend played meek. Which was hysterical in its own right; causing Aria to chuckle a bit which started a slight coughing fit. Causing Aria to pull a handkerchief to cover her mouth with from her sleeve. Eventually her coughs subsided enough for her to apologize for interrupting the flow of conversation. But she did need to pause for a bit and just listen as she caught her breath.
Aria turned her attention to the door as it once more opened and surprisingly she had yet another visitor. ”Wow I’m popular today, almost whole month goes by and the few people I’ve seen regularly are Garrett, Noku, Lilith, and Serenity here.” It was certainly nice to have visitors, she enjoyed the conversation. The visitors clearly brought Aria joy as she was smiling; most of her day was spent reading books all by her lonesome. ”Hello, Diamond its lovely to see you again. I’m getting better; I’m actually awake enough to have visitors more now. Congratulations on your new promotion; I heard that you’ve been doing a wonderful job.” She was surprised to hear that he had brought her a gift as well; her eyebrows raised he placed the box on the table. She carefully picked the box up and opened it; taking a look at the teas that were inside. These were a good selection; some of the leaves coming from a more tropical environment. Others even more rare, were potent when put in a healers hands as they were able to take on and hold healing magic when needed. She remembered Mylee teaching her about them when she lived on the glade. But each batch of tea was excellent when one was under the weather; and there certainly was enough with some proper storage she would be able to keep until needed for any other time she or someone she knew became ill. She smiled and looked up at Diamond; grateful for the very thoughtful gift. ”Thank you so much Diamond; these actually will help tremendously. I actually might have a hope now to making it to that dinner party.” She continued to examine the box; her stuffy nose having a bit of difficulty picking out each ingredient, however she could smell enough to identify quite a few. ”I haven’t seen some of these herbs in ages. Lilith is going to love to learn about them as well. Can I ask do you remember who you purchased these from? I would love to track them down, when I’m allowed to leave, to get my hands on some of these plants to propagate them for the castle and a friend of mine’s clinic in the lower district.”
When Yuki asked diamond if he could examine the tea; Aria gladly handed it over to her. Maybe she could identify some of the herbs and know where they grew. Perhaps even knew how long to properly brew each batch to get the most out of it. Aria had a good deal of working knowledge of medical herbs however she still had years of studying to do and was always learning new ways to do things. Magic or no magic certain plants when prepared the proper way could do miraculous things. Meanwhile Noky sat up again eyeing the man that walked into the infirmary; his scales raising just a bit as smoke trailed from his nostrils. Silas back at home had given the young drake a dislike of men; women were fine, men however were first met with a bit of hostility. However that was soon forgotten when a tasty morsel suddenly appeared from the man’s pocket. In a blink the bit of meat was snatched from the air, and gulped in an instant. In that moment the young drake when from hostile, to waddling over to the white haired champion and proceeded to sniff him over for more treats. Nudging his wedged shaped nose into pockets as he went. Aria meanwhile chuckled at the display; it was good for Noky to have more positive reinforcement with males. However she did hope he didn’t start going into everyone’s pockets for snacks….which with him was a real possibility. ”Well Diamond I think you just made a new friend.”
