Double Bubble [Nyx and Selkiris]

[Selkiris]

Selkiris merely shrugged off her comment about smiling looked good on him. "Well I never really have anything to smile about. So what is the point of smiling?"" When Nyx mention heading towards an inn, Selkiris instinctively went for his money pouch and checked what he had. "Yes this should be enough for us to get a room and some thing to eat. That's good at least." Selkiris said, trying not to think that it was only enough for a single room. "Any place you would prefer to stay Nyx? I'm really fine with anywhere"

[Nyx]

“You should smile because it let someone know that you like being around them. Plus if you didn’t know it takes fewer muscles to smile than it does to frown.” Nyx smiled brightly. Thinking for a moment about the inn since she got swept away she only had limited amount of coinage and she didn’t want Selkiris to have to pay for everything himself. “We could split the cost. I’ll buy us dinner if you are only with us getting a room. As for prefer nothing really, as long as there is a bed to sleep in that’s all that matters.” It was true it didn’t matter where they stayed hell she didn’t even care if she had to share the bed with Selkiris it’s nothing new to her though she would have to be mindful if they had to share a bed because she didn’t know if Selkiris would be comfortable with sleeping with her.

[Selkiris]

Selkiris thought for a moment before giving her a small, quick smile. Almost teasing her. "Alright then. I might have a place in mind then. Not to expensive but just comfortable enough to not be a crappy inn." Selkiris chuckled as they neared the city. Selkiris made a quick turn and entered one of the closest buildings to the edge. He stood near the doorway and waitied for Nyx to enter before he did anything else. "Abyss help me. I do not know what is going on with me. Why am I so entranced by her. Ancient One guide me." Selkiris looked around at the inn. It wasn't too full tonight thankfully. The innkeeper stood behind he bar, only giving Selkiris a quick glance before going back to what they were doing.

[Nyx]

Nyx followed Selkiris into inn looking around it was cozy for sure and it wasn’t too busy then again it was holiday so she guessed most people were out on dates. She missed it when Selkiris had said asking the Abyss to help him. Walking up with the innkeeper asking if he had any rooms available a small frown appeared on her features hearing that he only had one room left and it was a single. It didn’t bother her much but then again, she had to be considerate of Selky as well. “Selky is it okay if we share a room he only has one left.” She said to him when he was close enough so that she was shouting across the room.

[Selkiris]

When Nyx came back and brought news on the rooming situation, Selkiris wasn't surprised. He only had enough money for a single room anyway so this was fine. "Yes....of course. I assume we will be sharing a bed? I mean if you don't want that I can always sleep on the floor. At least it is more comfortable than the dirt outside." Selkiris said, a small grin on his face. He pulled out his money and began making sure everything was in order before he went to the innkeeper and purchased the room for the night. The innkeeper made a quick comment that was so quiet only Selkiris could hear, but it instantly made him turn a deep red. He went back to Nyx, the blush still on his face but calming down. "Well then....the room is paid for, if you don't mind I'm thinking of just going their now. I really don't have much of an appetite, you can stay and eat if you want however." With that Selkiris quickly turned and began walking towards their room.

[Nyx]

“I’m fine with us sharing a bed Selkiris as long as you are okay with that.” Nyx stated she allowed him to go and pay for the room as she looked around the inn a bit more. Wandering over to the one of the small mini shrines set up for Ai during this time a small smile graced her lips. It was nice shrine set for the Goddess of Love and Passion but it did cause a small longing in her heart. It was where Selkiris found her, nodding her head when he said that he was going to head towards the room, she watched him walk away before turning back to the small shrine.



Taking a seat near the shrine she said a small pray as sad smile graced her features. The longer she kept looking at the statue the more sadness seem to well up within her for the single reason that she knew as soon as this was over that Selkiris and herself would return back to they old relationship status. She had hope that they would maybe become closer and become friends somehow but she knew that it might not happen. Not even noticing tears became to roll down her cheek as she was reminded of the cruel reality of her situation. “You know if I had known that I would have fallen much for him I would have never sent the flower.” She whispered softly. Feeling a drop of water she finally realized that she was crying, wiping away the tears she pushed down all the emotions of sadness and return to her normal mask of happiness.



After getting the information from the innkeeper on which room Selkiris had gotten she thank him and headed that way herself. The only thing she wanted right now was a good night sleep and maybe sometime while she slept that her heart froze the love that she now had for someone who was her enemy.

[Selkiris]

When Selkiris entered the room he quickly took off his robing, only leaving him in his undergarments. He laid on the bed, his robes covering him and keeping him warm. He quickly unsheathed his sword and began rubbing the etching on the black blade, murmuring something to it. The blade seemed to hum in response. One Selkiris reached the final marking he set the blade down and looked up at the ceiling. He began to ponder why he was getting these feelings about Nyx. But then he quickly realized.....he had these feelings towards his sister and parents as well. It was love. He loved Nyx. Selkiris's eyes widened in disbelief. "No, that can't be right. I ca-" Then the door opened. Selkiris stared at Nyx, his face blood red. "N-Nyx. I hope that the other guests were not to troublesome. Luckily we are only here for one night. They are much more annoying the second or third day." Selkiris gave Nyx a faint smile. Chuckling softly.

[Nyx]

Flashing him one of her signature smiles she shook her head. “No, the other guest were no issue. I do have to agree with you on that part.” A small giggle left her lips. Looking around the room she saw that it had the essentials a single bed, small table next to with a chest at the foot of the bed. Other than the window that are currently close and the lantern which was currently still lit. Quickly crossing the room she back turned towards him as she started to strip down normally she would have preferred to have slept all natural but she settled on just in her undergarment since sleeping in her clothes was too uncomfortable for her. Folding her clothes, she went and placed them ontop of the chest, before taking a seat on the bed next to Selkiris. “You know I’m not super tired right now. Want to stay up a talk a bit?”

[Selkiris]

As she sat on the bed, in nothing but her undergarments Selkiris's blush only deepened. He tried to focus away from her current appearance and wrapped his blade around his robes and put the blade away under the bed. He took a deep breath as he turned back to Nyx, his blush still very visible but he tried to maintain a calm attitude. "O-oh. O-of c-course Nyx. What did you wish to talk about? You already know much about me and my master so I am wondering what you would want to talk about.: Selkiris had to very seriously force his eyes not to wander downward. He didn't want Nyx to find him a pervert as with all the other things she likely thought he was. He mentally prayed to his master for guidance. "Oh....yes...I forgot to tell you. Do not touch the black blade. It carries dark magic that can drive anyone who doesn't follow the Ancient One to insanity." Under normal circumstances he normally would have easily let her touch the sword but after realizing his new.......feelings for her. He couldn't ever push himself to do it.

[Nyx]

Nyx would admit to herself Selkiris looked much better with the small tint of red on his cheeks it made him look more human and brought out the colour of his eyes even more. Still she had to remain strong even as her heart felt like it was ready to leap out her chest at any moment and her tongue felt heavy with the words that she feared the most, even as her brain reminded her heart that the man so close to her was much further away than he might seem since she most likely could never have him. “Do you believe that hate could turn to love and love could turn to hate?” Turning her head to look at his eyes for any small measure of anything since she wasn’t sure what to expect. Still she didn’t even know why she asked that question maybe it was because of something someone had said once that there was a thin line between love and hate and small things that change the balance of that line.



“Now how do you know that I’m not insane already? I mean claim to be from another world, I also claim to be from a place where many gods exist and I’m also sitting almost completely in the nude on a bed with someone who might kill me one day. I am sure some would claim I am insane with just the last two.” Her voice had a small hint of teasing in it since. “But don’t worry I wouldn’t touch that blade as long as I can touch the other one.” Winking at him just in hopes to get him to blush a bit more from the not so subtle innuendo.

[Selkiris]

Selkiris had to think about the question given to him. Why would she even ask something like that? She was really strange....that must have been one of the reasons he was attracted to her then. "Well I honestly believe anything can happen. Who knows, maybe the darkness will become the new light and the light the darkness. The world works in strange ways that only the eldest of us might understand. But I must ask. Why such a strange question Nyx. Did something happen?" Selkiris was genuinely curious. He wondered if someone had ticked her off.

The blade comment brought back his dark red blush. He stuttered, not knowing what to say. "W-Well I mean. W-W-We h-haven't really k-known each other for l-long. I-I mean......I-.....I-....J-Just a little to fast f-for that d-don't you think? W-Wait......your....joking....aren't you?" Selkiris blush stayed but he calmed down a little. His heart was pounding and his mind started producing images he really didn't think we're appropriate for right now. He tried the best he could to keep under control. He realized he certainly wasn't himself right now. He was taking this much more seriously than it really should have been. He felt that he was being extremely obvious that he has developed some feelings for Nyx.

[Nyx]

“The darkness become the light, the light become the darkness. The balance must always be there like yin and yang. Sorry for the strange question it’s just I realized something earlier and wanted to know a different person perspective on it.” Smiling softly at him as she felt her heart beating a bit from his words just from the simple possibility of hope in the future for the two of them.



Nyx did have to admit she liked that she could make him stutter but the blush was still the best part of it all. Lending over she placed a light kiss on his rosy cheek, “Just so you know I was joking but I do like to see you all fluttered it’s cute and it makes you seem more…” Pausing for a moment to think about it. “Human. I like that about you that you can go from being completely serious to becoming someone who smiles and blushes from simple words. It suits you.” Her eyes soften a bit as she looked at him, wondering if maybe she had said too much since she let her guard down.

[Selkiris]

Selkiris nodded softly. "Yea. Balance is always needed. Without the light nothing could live and without darkness where would the fun be? Selkiris laughed softly, a bright blush still on his face. As she leaned forward and kissed him on the cheek, his breathing quickened.The kiss was soft, tender. It warmed his cold heart for some reason [ "O-Oh. I uh...wasn't expecting that. Ok then...." He slowly calmed down. Taking in what she said. It was interesting to say the least. "Well I am still human after all. I may work for the abyss but I still have the wants and emotions of anyone else. I think that is why was chosen by him. Because I had what he lacked. Humanity......" He paused for a moment and scooted a little closer to Nyx. "I think...the thing I enjoy about you the most...is how you always seem to smile. You can always make light of a bad situation and you can even make stone cold wreck like myself smile and blush. It is always comforting to know that you can always seem to smile. Makes me think that maybe...in the future...I can be like that too. I actually used to love to smile. My parents told me a smile can save more lives than a blade. I knew that wasn't true but it was a nice thought." He looked at Nyx, his light blue eyes staring at hers. He.....was some what comforted by her eyes.

[Nyx]

“You might be human but you don’t act like it. After all most human don’t hide in the shadows unless they are in the underground.” A small blush dusted her cheeks at the compliment if it was anyone else she wouldn’t have even reacted but because it was from Selkiris she couldn’t help it. “You know your parents were right. Sometimes all it takes is a smile to save a person’s life which can save more lives down the road.”

Getting up she moved so that she was under the blanket and her back to Selky. It was the only thing to keep her from using him, as a stuffed animal and snuggle into his warmth. “You know a few months ago if we were in this situation I don’t believe that we would be this civil with each other.”

[Selkiris]

Selkiris laughed at that statement. "Well working for a creature without humanity can take its toll on someone. But that is just a price for the path I take. All paths have prices, some worse than others." Selkiris looked at Nyx a little strange for a moment before smiling and chuckling. "Really you believe that? Interesting....."

As she laid down on the bed facing away from him he also laid down. He stared at the ceiling for a moment before speaking. "Yes it's strange how drasticly people can change." Selkiris turned and stared at Nyx's white locks for a little while. It has always looked so silky and smooth, it was very fine as well. Then Selkiris thought of something. It was very ballsy but he just kept saying to himself that it was 'just to get back at her'. Selkiris draped his right arm around Nyx's waist and drew her in right into him. He spoke softly "You know you cute blushing as well Nyx." He chuckled, but a little cautiously. He really braced for the worst here. He didn't know how Nyx might respond to what he was doing. He was mostly hoping though that things stayed calm "down below".
