Xander wasn't going to ask something she may feel insulted by, so he left out the thoughts of having her run him across to the town. After all he did have two feet right? He shrugged, "Working for a duke? Well hopefully I made some friends in high places today."[/b] Xander smiled lightly, this one a little more uplifting than the rest.
Xander was a little off put by her eye waggle thing, it wasn't necessarily the most attractive thing, and it was confusing as to why she chose to do it in that moment.
He simply chose to ignore it not fully understanding how exactly to respond to it. If her intent was to freak him out, he didn't want to let Iris get her way by allowing himself to look completely confused, and creep'd.
"My profession?" Xander looked at her with a worried look.
"I suppose my profession was that I was alive. I enjoyed living, more so I think than anyone else. Although this 'undead' thing has it's positives, I would never choose such a state upon anyone."
This was Xander's way of opening up a little bit, but deciding to keep his past a secret. Not that he wanted to hide things from her, but he would rather not bring up people that could have all grown old and died.
"You know, I find myself drawn to things that 'feel' alive.." Xander sighed.
"It's quite odd, but I know I will love music so much more than I did before this.."
It really was something that made him feel alive, while he was a live, so Xander knew it would make him feel human again. There was very few things he understood would, but he knew for sure Music would be one of them, as well as a fun challenge!
He looked at Iris, who seemed so much more full of life than himself.
"Do you think you can make someone dead feel alive?" Xander asked her, not really expecting an answer. Perhaps it would be an odd question to answer, he felt sorry for Iris, being the one that pulled him from the grave. Everything was all new to him, and he was asking, and saying things he normally wouldn't. She had to deal with someone who was a little more down than usual, despite Xander hating to place the burden of his own sadness onto someone else.
"Forget I said anything!" Xander groaned, trying to bring some more positive thinking.
