Not Only Angels Cry (Yuki/Complete)

"Well, to be honest with you Reiker, I don't think that setting a professor on fire is the right way to handle this sort of thing. I understand that things have not been great since your grandfather passed, but that is no excuse for your behavior." Sage's day had only just began, yet, it felt like she had already been in her office for hours. At the moment, she was handling a student who attempted to set a professor on fire because he didn't like his grades. She wasn't sure how she should punish him, but she knew that something would have to be done. She decided to make a mental note to speak to the Headmaster about it and see what he thought would be best. In a normal school, sure, the student would be expelled, but, this was no normal school and it wasn't odd to have cases like this walk through her door. "Until further notice, you are suspended from the team. I will need to speak to Headmaster Adrain to see if that is enough of a punishment. For now, go back to class and I don't want to hear that you have caused any more trouble, is that understood?" Sage spoke with a firm tone and gave the student a very serious look. He nodded his head and walked out the door with his head hung low. 

To say that this was the worse thing that had ever happened at the Arch would be a major understatement. Working with magic and students who didn't quite know how to use their abilities came with a risk. Sage hadn't been at the Arch very long, but she was sure that far worse things had most likely happened. As the day went on, more students came into her office, thankfully with no more burning stories to tell. Suddenly, Sage noticed that someone had left her a note at the top of her desk. It was a small, square sheet of paper with nothing on it except for a name, "Yuki d'Avranches". It was odd to Sage. There was no explanation, and the note had to of been placed on her desk that day because she had only just noticed it. Her gut told her that something about the note held importance.

Thinking that the name was most likely a student, Sage decided to trust her gut and have her sent to her office immediately. Sage wrote on a small piece of paper, "Have Yuki d'Avranches come to my office as soon as she has the time to do so. -Ms. Foster". Sage then handed the note to a secretary and went back to her desk and sat down. She began to file paperwork as she waited.

Yuki had been in class, but her mind could barely focus she didn’t even know why she had gone to class that day. She was still an emotional mess even though it had been three days already she doesn’t even remember much minis Adrain finding her, they talked about him adopting her and that she did the right thing not giving into a man’s wishes for marriage. Everything after that she doesn’t remember but she did wake up in Adrain’s room snuggling against Sarei.



Since she had not planned to go to class that day she was dressed in one of her normal dresses instead of her normal uniform she wore at the Arch. Her dress that day was light blue with little flower designs on it she paired with a pair of white stockings and her little back heels in her hair was a simple light blue ribbon to match the dress. She sighed as listened to the professor talk about mana exhaustion and that a mage should work not only they magically skill but also they psychical ones as well. Turning to stare out the window she wondering what she was doing with her life her thoughts were interrupted when someone called her name looking up she saw that the professor wanted her attention and had a note in his hand. With a small flick of her wrist she send a light breeze though the room toward the note allowing the wind to bring the note back quickly reading it she gathered her stuff and left the room.



Sighing as she made her way towards the office of Ms. Foster if anything she had expected Adrain to want to talk to her not a teacher she never heard of before. It didn’t take long before she was at the door for the room, knocking lightly. “Hello… I was told you wanted to see me?” She said as she slowly turned the handle pushing the door open.

Sage's eyes peered up from her papers as she heard the knock at her door. "Yes, come in!" As Yuki came in, Sage looked her over. "You can take a seat right here, Ms. d'Avranches." Sage stood up and motioned at the chair in front of her desk. When Yuki would sit down, Sage would too, folding her arms in front of her on her desk. "Ms. d'Avranches, my name is Sage Foster, but you can call me Ms. Foster. I am the guidance counselor here at the Arch. A note was left on my desk with your name on it. I thought maybe you could use somebody to talk to." Sage then relaxed and gave Yuki a moment to speak, allowing her to assess the situation.

Yuki looked around the room before taking a seat, her placed a fake smile on as she looked at Sage. “It is nice to meet you Ms. Foster but I don’t believe there is anything I need to talk of. I am sorry if someone placed my name on your desk.” Closing her eyes as she felt her heart ache, the pain but she wasn’t going to speak of it to anyone. Adrain was the only perfect she felt comfortable speaking to about some of the matter, but she was not going to bare her soul to a complete stranger if if there were the school’s guidance counselor.



Standing up, the fake smile still on her face, “I am sorry for wasting your time Ms. Foster.” With those words said Yuki turned and heading towards the door and left.
