Lilith woke up, groaning lightly, and extending her legs in a stretch. She had become accustomed to being careful, so as not to hit the man sleeping next to her. Or, rather, she assumed he was still sleeping. She'd gotten used to him being around so much- cooking, sleeping here, randomly cooking in his underwear- she hadn't gotten used that, and she doubted she would. With a small sigh, and a glance over at the still sleeping Sima, Lilith slowly stood, and shuffled over to the kitchen, bumping into her newly bought couch in the process. She'd only purchased it a week or so before, and it was reminding her shins everyday. She stifled a sound of pain, and made her way to the table, sitting for a moment to allow herself to wake up more.
It was rare she woke before Sima, and normally, she remained in bed, taking her time to get up. But today, she decided to do something she hadn't done in about a month- not since Sima had appeared in her life. She stood again, gathering various fruits that she had purchased recently, and started peeling and dicing them, then putting them into a bowl. Fruit salad. She wasn't the best cook, she knew that, so she worked with her strengths. After that was done, she found the last of the eggs that Sima had insisted they buy, and attempted to copy what she had seen him do. She failed. But, she soon discovered that scrambled eggs tasted quite good as well. Now, she was sitting at the table, just waiting for her failed eggs to finish, though, technically, they weren't failed at all.

Sima had become accustomed to Lilith's company. He had spent a whole month without any incidents, in regards to the control and use of his power. He never really seemed to get to angry around her either, perhaps she was more of a match then he first anticipated. He couldn't help but think of Hotaru every so often, but Hotaru was dead. Sima had tried his best to let that behind him, but she was such a big piece of his life before Teair, and it was very difficult to let go. He felt Lilith get out of bed, it was odd to spend so much time with someone yet not technically be a couple. Sima thought she felt something for him, yet his troubled past kept him from advancing in any sort of relationship that he felt he wanted. Sima wasn't sure what he wanted anymore, but at least he was happy. He fell a sleep once again when Lilith rolled out of bed, he didn't know why he felt so tired, but as he rolled off to sleep he was once again met with that of a distant memory.
"Sima.." A voice called to him. "You killed her, not me.." Sima abruptly jumped up, hearing the familiar voice that he swore wasn't just in his head. "Vampire?" Sima did not know Kuro's real name, he only nicknamed him vampire, off of the odd trick that his blade caused. Sima sighed relaxing, if Vampire was anywhere near him he would be able to pick up his scent, so it was nothing more then a dream. He got out of bed yawning, heading out to the kitchen. Sima had bought a few life necessities, but a lot seemed he purchased were just to keep Lilith comfortable. For example, the purchase of pjs. Lilith was probably uncomfortable with him sleeping in his underwear, so that was the solution, however Sima still found time to cook half-naked, it was a passion of course. His nose picked up the smell of the eggs.
Sima's nose was so good at picking up scent he could tell the eggs were a tad over cooked, at least in his head. Sima could pick out the exact time even the tiniest fragment of egg began to toast or burn. Even if this was just a particle, his nose picked it up. This made him quite the adept chef using his nose in a manner of ways to help him cook, the smell was so minute that no human nose could pick up the tiny overcook of the eggs, but Sima could, regardless technically this was a perfectly cooked egg in the eyes of something with normal scent.
Sima walked over towards where Lilith was cooking the eggs, he felt perhaps since she was cooking he could take advantage of the situation and teach her like he always wanted to. Sima looked at Lilith on the table, she wasn't doing anything wrong, yet he felt that her attitude towards cooking was a little sad. "Lilith! Your supposed to be excited about cooking," Sima crossed his arms at her. Sima laughed afterwards. "You should let me teach you how to have fun cooking," Sima chuckled.

Lilith had heard him mumble before getting up, but hadn't heard anything specific, so she payed it no mind. When he came into the kitchen, scolding her lack of enthusiasm, she threw her hands in the air in defeat. I'm not even awake yet! I wouldn't be enthusiastic about anything right now! Her voice was still groggy and hoarse, not having spoken until now, and it was rather comical really. She crossed her arms in a faux sense of hurt, and looked away from him stubbornly.
I was just trying to do something nice. She mumbled, knowing he would see right through her fake act of anger. They knew each other fairly well now. Perhaps not in concerns of their pasts, but the way they were now. It came with sharing a house she supposed. Lilith was usually a morning person, but she had fallen asleep late, and hadn't slept all that well at all, which was rare now that Sima was sleeping next to her. It would take her a little longer to wake up than usual, but she used it to her advantage. She wasn't trying to come off cute, just funny, but she had a feeling he would assume the first.
She stood, moving past him to the eggs, and removed them from the heat, splitting it up between the two of them, giving him more, as he always ate more. She then got another two plates, and put some of the fruit salad in each, placing all four plates on the table.

Sima looked at her as she threw her hands up in the air. He had a hard time holding back his laughter, it was rather cute, and funny. Sima almost didn't know how to respond. Sima was so used to being hte one cooking the food rather being served. He sat down at the table, chuckling at Lilith's response to him. He listened to her as she prepared their plates, awaiting his patiently. "You know, for the years I was married to.. Hotaru, she had never served me anything to eat. I was always the one to make supper for the family," Sima felt really comfortable around Lilith, and despite it hurting to share stories like this, he felt that it would be better for him and it would help him to over come the past. "Kai, and Reimi, they once tried to cook me a meal, but it didn't turn out so well.. They somehow burned noodles. " Sima laughed remembering his children. Sima felt a little shocked for a moment, had he ever told Lilith that he had once had children? Well there was no more then now, on such a great day like today. "Reimi was my daughter, Kai was my son, I don't think I ever told you about them.." Sima nervously played with his hands under the table.
"They didn't get to live past their teens, the humans got too afraid of us by then." When Lilith put the plate on the table he quickly began to eat some, he felt that by filling his belly he would feel better inside. However, talking about these things had to be done. Sima often put his mind to difficult tasks, and this included telling Lilith a little more about himself, as she clearly shared a lot of herself with him. Sima took a break from eating to continue telling her more of himself. "In my world Demons are evil, they 'need' destruction, or at least that's what man believed, " Sima continued to eat the food Lilith prepared for him.

Lilith dropped the act as fast as she'd picked it up. The mood had turned serious, and she settled into her chair, eating slowly while he spoke. She had not known he'd had children, and she felt herself yet again holding in tears for his loss. It was always her initial reaction to sad things, but she was getting better, managing to keep them from showing. Her eyes didn't even appear glazed. She stopped eating and took a deep breath, taking the new information in. He seemed to speak fondly of them, yet she could hear the loss in his voice, and it broke her heart. To hear him that sad, she simply didn't like it. She refrained from her initial witty comment about cooking for him even though she hadn't, knowing it would hit a sore spot no matter when she said it, and decided to say nothing at all for a moment.
Taking a few bites from her food, she spoke as she transitioned from the eggs to the fruit. I've explain that that isn't the case here. Demons aren't always a good thing, but I don't think they're assumed bad either, unless given a reason of course. We've come to terms with Fated people, and know that they will be different. For the most part- I believe- we just want to live in peace... She paused, realizing she sounded like an information book, and changed her tone, making it more herself, more personal.
I didn't know you had kids... I'm so sorry for your loss... For every loss you've had really. It's not fair to you, having to live to see so much pain and death, it's not right. She looked away, taking a bite of a strawberry. I hope that doesn't happen for you here. Nova really is different... She felt the mood dropping more by the second, and didn't want this to become another depressing day, as some of them had been, sharing their pasts. Lilith ate more fruit, until she had finished, and picked up her plates to clean and put away. Her wound had long since healed, and was nothing by a gross scar now, but she kind of liked it. It was ugly, and due to her elven qualities, she never had been. Her beauty hindered her in her mind, so an ugly scar pleased her. She kept this to herself though, she knew Sima wouldn't think she same way. In fact, she was fairly certain he didn't know about that thought at all, her disliking her personal beauty. She liked it that way.
Lilith cleared her throat, turning to face him. Well. I know it's not very good, especially compared to your food, but I will cook whenever you want. She sighed. And if you continue to insist that you want to teach me, you may. But! There is no guarantee that I will ever be good, or that I will always be as excited as you, okay? She was mostly joking, wanting to lift the mood. She was serious however, about cooking for him. She liked that she was the first, it pleased her in an odd way.

Sima looked at her on her remarks of her talent of cooking. "Cooking is for people that something to give, and you clearly have a lot to give." Sima smiled kindly towards her. "You don't realize it, but the most beautiful thing about you is your personality, if you were any different I doubt that I could fall for you so easily," Sima's voice was confident, there was no embarrassment in his wording. In fact Sima did not notice his own blunder, he was simply talking how he felt comfortable, and with Lilith Sima felt comfortable with a lot. "You've had to deal with a lot too Lilith, please don't feel my pain." When you cried for someone it was almost like taking that pain for them, to help them, it was one of the reasons he 'disallowed' Lilith to cry around. "Know that I am perfectly capable of getting over my past, I intend to make a new life here in Teair, it's not that I have a choice about it, but if I did, I would choose to stay here, with you" Sima laughed almost like a child.
"You see Lilith, back when I had my home I always kept mementos. I kept them because I felt that it was the only way I could measure myself, good vs. bad. If I had more good mementos then i felt like I was a good person, and if I had more bad mementos then I was evil. The only memento I have left is this," Sima grabbed his ring that was on the necklace around his neck and raised it for her to see. "So without the rest of them I have to start to all over, collecting new memories, new memorabilia, mementos. " Sima put the ring back, tucking it away within his shirt. "The rest I have are pretty much all from you," Sima laughed scratching the back of his head nervously. "Your helping me a live good life! So I don't need you to cry for me, hence are conditions when we first met." Sima could obviously tell she was holding back tears when he first starting sharing his history. Sima had certainly gotten a lot better with his own past now, but it was still something that bothered him.
"I guess collecting 'souvenirs' is a habit of mine, one I haven't been able to do in Teair, but I could secretly do here with you.." Sima sighed slightly. "For example, I have your dagger, This was the dagger Lilith had left in the wolf. "I also have the book.." Sima did pay for it, "You know when you got all flustered about when I met your boss." Sima shrugged. "They may seem minuscule, but I thought they were good memories.."

Lilith was brushing hair out of her face, what with it still being a bed head disaster, - she’s grown accustomed to looking like crap around Sima in the morning, it barely bothered her now- when she paused, hearing his words though he didn’t seem to. She’d caught the part about her personality being beautiful, but she was stuck on him saying If you were any different I doubt that I could fall for you so easily. Her face turned scarlet, and she let her hair fall into her face like a veil. Her tears were gone, but she clearly hand’t fooled him as he commented on them. He had to know she was doing so much better, didn’t he? He said she had her own past to deal with, which was entirely true, but she noticed that as of late, she didn’t focus on it so much, which was a beautiful feeling in Lilith’s heart that was greatly needed. She looked up when he laughed at his last comment, of choosing to stay there with her, given the choice, and her mind spiralled. It took a moment, but she understood, he meant in his old world where he had lost people, not his past when they lived. She let out a sigh, understanding his pain of losing his family, though to a far lesser degree.
She watched the ring around his neck as he spoke of memories and mementos, knowing exactly why he did that. She would have too, given the chance with her parent. But the owner of the orphanage ripped everything away, saying she must focus in the idea of a new life, not dwell on the old one. Lilith supposed she had been right to a certain degree, but then it certainly didn’t seem so. Her face darkened, but she remained silent, as he spoke of his more recent and good memories being with her and from her. Her heart began to beat faster, picking up it’s own pace.
Lilith’s relationship with Sima had grown over the past month, but purely in a friend way. Since that last kiss, or rather, make out thing they had done, not much had happen since, and it hadn’t bothered her really. He was coping with his past first, after all he did have a wife at one point. So she’d let it move at it’s own pace, but now he was bombarding her with words that she couldn’t tell had more meaning. She thought they must, as he spoke of falling for her, but she really didn’t know, nor was she bold enough to ask. She pushed her questions aside for now, knowing that at a later time she may have more courage to ask such things, but now was not the time.
You let me buy a new dagger, when you had mine the whole time? - and then got mad when I went into the shady store at all? Sima! Her tone was exasperated, having spoke for the first time now, but she wasn’t angry. She found it really cute, and kept her face hidden by her hair to keep that fact from him. He had the book too, the one she hadn’t been able to see the whole title of now, other than the word Demon. She supposed that made sense now. A lot of things did. She took a breath, knowing she had to respond in a way other than that, and chose to ask one of her questions, and was surprisingly able to get it out with only minor hesitations.
So, you’re falling for me? Her voice was small, barely audible, but she now knew he’d hear her regardless. You said if I were different you doubt that you would fall for me so easily… I’m going to skip the part about you thinking my personality is beautiful, because let’s just not argue right now, but can we focus on that for a second? She said this so soft, so hesitant, she just wanted to focus on him now, to have him at least a little flustered like her. She kept her head down, he platinum hair veiling her face, just barely and kept her hands interlocked in front of her, playing with them nervously. It had been a while since she’d been nervous around Sima, but he sure knew how to get that out of her.

Sima looked into her lilac eyes, choosing to call them lilac instead of purple. This was a way to differtiate her from Hotaru, keep himself forgetting some painful memories. It was true Lilith grew on him, so much to say he was falling for her, if Lilith didn't get that impression before Sima wasn't sure what impression he was laying down for her to pick up. "I re-found it after you bought the new dagger," Sima sighed lightly, "It's not like I wanted to steal your dagger, it just kinda happened..." Sima shrugged cautiously. He listened to her words, not recalling actually saying what she said. He wouldn't doubt if something like that slipped his mind, but that wasn't that bothered him. The way she seemed to speak about her personality. Sima was not embarrassed about what he had to say because he felt it was the truth, and if Lilith disagreed then so be it.
"Your personality is what makes you, you Lilith." Sima wasn't sure why she didn't understand this. "A Lilith without a beautiful personality isn't beautiful, and your beautiful because of the way you talk to me." Sima blushed slightly. "When you first met me, you returned when I was in danger, despite being so scared you could hardly move.. The way you become so bold when it's just the two of us, yet so recluse and shy around the public. The way your eyes always stare wanting to help me in some way, the way you smell, that I can't help but smother my nose in the pillows every night.. " Sima groaned crossing his arms rather upset realizing the last one was a bit over the top. "If that's not what makes you interesting, the way you handle situations, the way you react, the way it makes me react, then I guess I have a ugly personality as well." Sima huffed.
Sima glared back up at her realizing he missed something that she asked him. "Falling for you? right.." Sima groaned, Sima wasn't really angry, but it was easy to play the passive aggressive role when you felt embarrassed and in a corner, if anything it had a hidden playful underly. "I wouldn't say I am falling for you...." Sima spoke this in the most serious way he possible could, taking a few seconds to catch a breather and regain his confidence." I would say I fell...." Sima simply became quiet after finishing his line, returning to the food in front of him. "It's delicious," He commented of her cooking,

Lilith blinked. She remained silent, and blinked again. After a few more moments of this, she chose to speak, picking the topics that wouldn’t make her faint. I suppose if any part of me were to be beautiful, I’d prefer it to be my personality. It’s the least bold after all. Her voice was softer than before, barely even counting as a voice. Her heart was beating quickly, her breathing slightly uneven, but she ignored that. Her stayed in the position she was in, head down, hair covering her face, playing with her hands. She couldn’t really move at that moment.
She had to admit that he was right- she did become more bold when it was just the two of them, and she had no idea why but she was grateful he’d picked up on it. Her already scarlet face seemed to deepen in colour, if that was possible, at the mention of him smelling the pillows. Her scent must be all over the house, she realized, so him doing that was intentional and he wanted to. A small smile leaked onto her crimson face, but she bit her lip to keep it from spreading just yet. She was processing.
You don’t have an ugly personality. Not in the slightest. You are the kindest person I have ever met- granted I don’t know many people, but thats not the point. It was odd. She was stunned to silence before, but at the mention of his personality, her boldness seemed to perk right up inside her.
You’ve dealt with all my drama in addition to your own, while still adjusting to Nova. You’ve been nothing but kind to me, and you’ve saved me more than once. I’ll be damned if you think that way- She cut herself off, only know did she fully understand the context of his statement; then I guess I have a ugly personality as well. She’d basically just said what he said to her, but to him. She let out a low groan and dropped the topic, not wanting to get into why she thought the way she did. She could tell Sima would ask her eventually, but not yet hopefully, not that she would lie.
Her heart seemed to pause for a moment when he spoke of falling. Her knees seemed to be weak for a moment, which seemed like such a cliche she wanted to hit herself. She wanted to respond to it, needed to, but didn’t know the words. She simply thanked him softly at the comment of her food, and decided she needed to sit down, making her way to the couch. After a few deep breaths, she glanced at him from her seat, a few feet away. Her hair was still a mess, covering her face and sticking up in a various amount of directions, but a smile leaked through it slightly.
Well.. I guess it’s a good thing I’m there to catch you… She wasn’t sure if that made any sense, and she was making a slight joke, but she hoped he got it. It was in reference to the fact she was already at the bottom, having fallen not to long before. It probably made absolutely no sense and she scolded herself in her head for speaking. She laid down on the couch now, putting an arm over her face, groaning lightly at her idiocy.

Sima looked at Lilith as she attempted to hide her face. Sima knew she was more then likely blushing at his words. Sima was confident because he was being honest, telling her what he thought she should know. It did make him worry just a little about how she was really taking the information. Her personality was the least bold of beauty? Sima disagreed. "Your wrong, the beautiful, and boldest thing about you is your personality." Sima laughed at her wording, how could she not see what he thought was clear as day. Sima finished up the food that was presented to him rather quickly, it was delicious. It wasn't delicious because of her skill, but because she made it for him. Sima was used to providing for everyone else, he had rarely ever had anything presented specifically for him. It was sweet, and it made him feel special.
"Lilith, " Sima looked down at his empty plate. "I was wondering if you'd like to go out with me today, I was thinking that we could do something together, I hear there is a festival going on in a nearby village." Sima took any of the leftover plates and began washing them, making sure the kitchen was clean. "They specify a formal-ish attire, but I hear there is a lot of fun games for people!" Sima said seemingly excited. He scratched the back of his head nearvously while finishing up the cleaning. He then went back to the bedroom to make the bed, it didn't take very long. Sima then made sure to put on day appropriate clothes in case Lilith wanted to do anything else.
"Are you going to fall a sleep on the couch?" Sima called from the bedroom.

I’m not disagreeing with that Sima, I’m saying that if any part of me were to be beautiful, I’d rather it be my personality- the part of me that’s not visible. She was mumbling mostly to herself. She knew he’d say something like “You look beautiful too” or something along those lines, but she knew that already- she just didn’t want to be. She shook her head, and sat up, finally pushing the hair out of her face.
That sounds wonderful Sima. I would love to. Lilith got up and walked over to the bedroom as well, gathering what she would need to change, making sure is was semi-formal as he had said. She kept her eyes averted from him until she was safe behind the bathroom door. With a deep breath, she changed into her day clothes, having chose the same dress she had worn to the ball at the castle. It was the only real formal thing she had. It was an off white, with hints of silver and gold in it. There was a collar that had a large rose on it, and it extended all the way down the dress, in a wondrous designe. It was sleeveless, but it came with glove like things, that went above her elbow, but didn’t cover her hands. She rather liked it, but this would only be the second time she wore it.
Lilith took a brush to her mass of hair, and little by little she smoothed it. She really should cut it. After brushing it out she took one look at it and gave up, deciding to do nothing else to it. With a sigh she left the bathroom, and walked by Sima, landing back on the couch. She didn’t know when he wanted to leave, but at least she was already dress. She secretly liked dressing up, but hated to show it. She felt it held a type of vanity to it, and vanity was something she really didn’t like.

Sima didn't really have much clothes, he didn't have anything extremely formal. He agreed that he would just purchase something before they headed out, he didn't really want to tell Lilith about the other half that this mini-trip would put them in a potentially dangerous situation. The travel to the village was often met with people carrying large amounts of money, which often meant bandits. Sima was confident that they would be fine however, and he walked outside the bedroom and looked at Lilith. She was beautiful, and he was not going to deny that. However, she spoke to herself in such a way that hinted at him not telling her that. Why did she hate her appearance so much? Sima could only remember the night when she was attacked by those men. Perhaps something like that was the reason, but Sima didn't feel like prying.
"I like your dress," Sima responded, "I think I need something more formal, if you want you can help me pick something. If you are going to be seen with me you might as well have me looking my best no?" It was true, they spent a lot of time together, so she would be seen as 'with' him and there was nothing they could really do to change it. "I'm not really the best at purchasing clothes, " Sima shrugged, "Plus I don't know where to go for that type of clothing.." Sima admitted, he didn't really go in places he didn't need to explore.

Lilith sat up yet again, smiling at him. She thought he looked good all of the time, but she would certainly help him. She stood up, and looked at him, trying to picture something she could get him to wear. She wasn't 100% sure where to go for this either, having bought her clothes at a place for women, but she was sure she could find something.
It shouldn't be too hard to do, I mean you already look great so. She shrugged and went off to find her shoes and coat, as it was still winter. The weather wasn't bad, but the air gave quite a chill, and with her being in a strapless dress, she really didn't want to get sick. Once that was done, and went back up to Sima and hugged him. She wasn't 100% sure what happened earlier that morning, but it made her feel nice. She blushed every time she repeated his words in her head, and she had no doubt he would catch on to that soon.
Thank you for thinking I'm beautiful. It's not something I'm content with, but for some reason it makes me happy to think that you think so.

Sima looked at her curiously. What was her fixation with her appearance? Sima didn't understand, it was a compliment wasn't it? He shrugged, perhaps he just didn't know as much as he thought he did. He looked at her "Thank you for the compliment, " Sima was referring to her saying that he looked great all the time, Sima didn't agree, because this would also entail his demonic form. He simply opened the door, looking at Lilith playfully. "Come on now, we don't got all day, get off the couch," He certainly enjoyed that couch anyways, when he got to relax on it with Lilith anyways. Sima waited for Lilith and then he entered outside. The sun at first was blinding, he had spent more time inside than he thought he had. "It looked like it's going to be a good day anyways," It was a little chilly, yet the sun kept it rather warm. "You warm enough? Or is it a little cold?" Sima asked Lilith rather protectively.
He took a few steps away from the building. looking around them. He sniffed the air, feeling rather contempt with the scents he was smelling. He wasn't sure what he would find, every morning the scents he smelled changed in formula. He could smell the market district, people selling, cooking, among other things. Sima could even smell hormones, if he focused long enough. The radius of what he could do with this nose was great, yet it was also extremely sensitive. As a woman walked by him he almost grabbed his nose, as if the woman had some horrible smell to her. It was her perfume. It was so thick, like mint, extremely strong. Sima was trying to pick up scents from far away, not from close, she had blindsided him when she walked by. He couldn't help but cough a little.
The woman looked at him, very confused. "Do I smell bad?" She muttered sniffing herself, yet attempting to hide it.

Lilith dropped the topic now, knowing she sounded idiotic at this point, and followed him out of the house. She watched him curiously as he looked around, wondering what he was doing. When he coughed, Lilith let out a small laugh, understanding now what was happening. She too had smelt the perfume, and she found it strong, so she couldn't imagine how he smelt it. She bumped her shoulder into his and laughed again.
You're kinda cute when your face squishes up like that. She was referencing to the look he had when the woman walked by, and it just made her giggle again. She directed them towards the market place area where more clothes were found, and was able to pick out a shop that sold mens stuff. She was rather out of her element, but she decided to keep in mind what he said: she was bolder around him than others. Currently, she was around him and others, so she was trying to pretend it was just him, and keep the bold factor going. It was failing. She was stumbling over words when talking to the clerk, and really, she was just being her usual shy mess. She sighed, and stepped back, deciding to let Sima do the talking, as she clearly could not.
