Waking up Yuki felt different, her chest felt heavier, reaching for her chest thinking that maybe a cat was laying on it. Not finding a cat but rather breast larger than she remembered when she went to sleep. Sitting up she turned to look in the mirror making sure that she was seeing and feeling things right. Getting nervous she lifted her blanket and the pulled her nightgown up a little to find that she has nothing addition down there. Taking a deep breath not wanting to scream just yet and scare some poor maid who by be passing by.
“Okay, Yuki remember. What did you do last night.” She said stopping hearing that her voice was at a higher pitch than before as well. Thinking back to last night she remembered her mother giving her a small present with a simple gold ring. She remembered putting on the ring, looking to her right hand she saw simple gold band still on her index finger. Now remembering that had spoken some kind of spell then her mother rushed her to bed by making her drink some kind of tea.
Staring at the ring she looked around her room wondering if she could find the box it came in and the note. Sadly to no avail she didn’t find it at all meaning either her mother had taken the box with her or someone threw it out. Taking the ring off she threw it against the wall hoping that it would undo whatever the hell happened to her last night. Still she remained the same, with nothing else left to do she let out a blood curling scream that she was sure could be heard from heaven’s pass.
Pulling her knees to her chest she rocked back and fore not caring if someone came into her room to check on her. She just couldn’t believe it that she was now as her mother would say fully grown into her womanly body. “This is all a dream. It has to be.” Tearing rolling down her face falling onto her bed, as she tried to figure out what happened and what to do now, since all her clothes might not fit the same way anymore.

Some of the damage to the city still remains from when Ilta left for her assignment. However, the anti-Fated sentiment had lessened, and there was no evidence of the former chaos at the castle. She walks around the castle in her Royal King Knight’s regalia, the symbol of Teair Nova showing clearly on her tabard. A matching ribbon helps to braid her hair back behind her horns. She was slowly getting used to the upper class appearance.
As she walks past the noble quarters, a scream echoes through the halls. One of the maids in drops a bunch of blankets on the floor in surprise. The first day back in the city, and already stuff was happening. Or it could be nothing more than one of the ladies discovering a spider in her room. That seemed more likely now that Ilta actually thought about it. Still, she should probably investigate. Just to be sure.
Ilta briskly walks up to the door, and knocks twice. “My lady, is everything alright?” She can hear crying from the other side. The answer was probably no. However, so long as the lady inside was physically alright, mental breakdowns weren’t her problem. There was probably something much better suited for that anyways.

Yuki looked up at the person who entered her room through a veil of tears. She could faintly make out that the person seem to be female and they voice helped with that. “No everything is all wrong.” Doing her best to wipe away some of the tears, knowing that someone might think she was crying over a lost love or something. Patting the side of her bed just wanting someone to sit by her side who wasn’t her mother. “If you are not busy could you sit with me, please. I just need someone to talk to.”
Finally looking up, noticing that it was one of the guards. Now she felt embarrassed because surely she thought that someone had broken and had tried to kill her. “I am also sorry if I made you worry. It wasn’t my intention truly, I am sorry.” She said all while trying her best to regain her composure, but the sobs of the tears and the small hiccups were not helping her case.
Gaining a little bit of her composure back to looked at the person. “But… it’s gone. Then these appeared.” She said as she moved her hands to her breast squeezing them to confirm that they were really there. Seeing the a cursed ring lying on the floor just little away from the door. “That caused it I am sure. I don’t know how to do this, my chest is heavier, my voice is higher pitched and...” Pausing not sure how to say the next part, since it was a secret between her mother, herself and one trusted maid who helped dress her in the morning. “My friend, down south he isn’t there.”

Ilta tries to hold back a sigh. She really doesn’t want to deal with a noble woman having a meltdown. It was too early in the morning, and it wasn’t something originally in her job description. “Alright, my lady.” She enters to see a slender blonde girl rocking to herself. Cute girls in distress. Something about them made her want to help almost. She takes a seat in a chair across from the lady.
Ilta lowers her head and nods a little as the girl apologizes. “It is alright. Take your time. I prefer seeing everything being ok anyways.” She can’t imagine what has the girl in such a state. However, Ilta sincerely doubted it was something that she could stab. If the girl wanted her to do more than listen, Ilta wasn’t sure that she would be great assistance.
It’s not often other women try to call attention to their breasts in front of Ilta, and normally it was sexier than this. This was just awkward. Too awkward for this early in the morning, and too awkward for her job description. She almost thinks the girl is going through puberty until the lady insists that she lost something. That last part just confuses her. Ilta walks over and picks up the ring. It seemed… not quite like a normal ring. “This is more than you just going through puberty, isn’t it?” After placing the ring in a pocket, Ilta rubs the bridge of her nose, trying to figure out how she wants to phrase what she wants to say next. “My lady, you don’t have to tell me, but were you born male?”

Yuki was more than thankful to have someone to talk to about her new problems. Now having calmed down a great deal more she looked at her, she had to admit that she had pretty hair and the ribbons made her look even more beautiful in her opinion.
Slowly uncurling herself from her little ball on the bed, wiped a few tears away. Still feeling a bit unbalanced by the new weight, she steady herself by sitting back against the headboard of her bed. “Puberty don’t happen overnight suddenly, right?” Asking even though she already knew the answer to the question. She had already gone through puberty it wasn’t like the other girls, but she was sure that she already gone through it unless she was a late bloomer.
Looking between the ring then the woman and the ring again. Surely the tiny object couldn't have been the sudden cause of her, well she didn’t know but transformation. Upon hearing the question, she bowed her head not even sure of the answer to it herself. This whole time since she had been five she been raised as a girl, She vaguely remembered another person with her, someone calling her brother but she wasn’t sure. “Would you believe me if I said I think I was. I knew that I was different from the other girls as soon as I hit 13. Mother said that I was just late growing into my body.” Turning to look at her, “Would you be upset if I told you I thought I was female this whole time.” Her voice lowered to a whisper.

Aria was up already and dressed, slipping out of her rooms in the servant quarters. The princess wanted to move her to rooms more fitting for a Duchess, but frankly she liked the hustle and bustle that was down here. Today her outfit was a compromise, between her normal personal style, to one that was appropriate for the castle and her newest title. She wore a stiff collar over coat, with gold embroidery along the collar and down the front. The gold embroidery also carried across her shoulders, and the bottom hem of her jacket which reached down to her ankles and wrapped around her like a skirt was lined with a shimmery gold ribbon. The color was mostly ivory that faded into a light blue near the bottom hem, and around her shoulders. The coat was form fitting at the top and flared out loosely around her waist, making it seem as though it was a dress when she stood. However the coats fasteners stopped at her hips. When she moved you could tell she wore tight form fitting light blue pants, tucked into knee high soft leather boots that were a very light tan. A silk blue sash was tied around her waist; the knot at the side of her hip, allowing the excess fabric drop to about her knees. Aria had not bothered to illusion her telltale scar that blazed across her face. Her eyes were outlined in kohl; and her lips lightly stained a light pink. Her long slightly pointed nails were well cleaned, she wore no rings like other nobles might, and a black dagger tattoo was visibly present on her right forearm. Her hair was tied only half up, braided along the sides of her head, while the rest cascaded past her waist. Leaving her rooms and trotting up to the noble’s level, curious to see who she could come across to bug.
As she reached the level a loud scream made her wince as it hit her sensitive ears. She frowned and trotted down the hallway at a brisk walk. Her ears picking up, another familiar voice and the last bit of conversation. As she rounded the corner, she poked her head into the room; her eyebrows raised high in a questioning stare directed at the last stament.
”I would….really how can you not notice when you use the privy…..Hello Ilta”
She stepped fully into room, a hand brushing through her hair as she let it fall to her side.
”Is everything alright in here?”

The girl calms down fairly quickly for someone who seemed almost hysterical moments ago. She dries her eyes and asks about the onset of puberty. Ilta does something halfway between a snort and a laugh, “No, not really. But it almost felt that way. Like it all came on really quickly.” But by really quickly, she didn’t mean overnight.
Gender changing magic was a thing that existed. Honestly, those rings going around freaked her out a bit. Ilta wasn’t sure what she would do if she suddenly woke up male. Male clothing was great. Male everything else… she could do without it. “Not upset. More confused. Have you really never seen another woman naked before? Or man? Has no one ever bothered to explain this? You know, nevermind…”
Aria’s slight joke probably isn’t what the noble woman needs to hear at the moment. She raises an eyebrow at Aria’s appearance. Obviously, the woman’s circumstances had changed a lot since they last saw each other. Ilta drops the high class act for just a second to address her. “Hey, Aria. You’re looking… well off these days.”
She looks back at the distressed girl. “I doubt she’s alright. Do you want to see someone to… umm… reverse things? I can’t imagine forcibly changing someone’s sex is legal.” Was she going to have to document and report this occurrence? She can only imagine the odd look Roland would have as he read over that one.

Wiping away the tear marks knowing how embarrassing it was to be caught cry even if it was something that wasn’t trivial. She giggled a little hearing the laugh-snort, for a short moment it made her forget about the little problem at hand. Nodding her head understanding that her understanding of puberty was true.
She was about to answer when another person enters her room, she really had to lock that door at some point. Noticing the red hair, she thought back to that had happened and remembered that the woman’s name was Aria and that she has a title of countess, but she didn’t fully remember. The question just made her blush brightly, as she grabbed the pillow hiding her face in it. Lifting her head a little from the pillow. “It’s not like I take baths with people. That part of my education was omitted on my mother’s request. As for your question Lady Aria I don’t really look at my body.”
Taking a deep breath trying to calm herself, holding the pillow tighter in her hands. “I’m not alright. Do I look alright to you?” Her voice barely above a whisper. Thinking on what Ilta said about wanting to see if someone could reverse things. Did she want to reverse the changes was the question. It was strange for sure to suddenly be in a female body. “Can we find out what happened between me putting on the ring and the blank part of my memory first before seeing if someone could reverse things?”

Aria gave a nod in greeting to Ilta, she was glad to see her back in the castle.
”More or less…I don’t know when it will be announced publicly, but I have been gifted to Palico and made into their newest Duchess.….but glad to see you back in the castle now that things are dying down a bit.”
She spoke of it like she was speaking about the weather; however her face blanked when the blonde answered her question…..she blinked at the woman and fixed her with an incredulous stare. How could the shemale not notice something was dangling in-between her legs?? WHAT ABOUT THE MORNINGS?! She looked over at Ilta with a large arch of one of her brows. Surely this was a joke? Someone couldn’t possibly be that oblivious and make it to an adulthood. Aria rubbed the bridge of her nose, really she was already feeling a migraine coming on. The Norus had spoiled her over the years….
”Ok let me get this straight, She was a he who thought he was a she, but really was a he who just got turned into a she and what is this about a ring?”

The fact that Aria so causally says she is a duchess is incredibly strange, and Ilta isn’t sure what to say exactly. “Congratulations? How does someone just become a duchess? You know what… nevermind. It can wait until after this.”
Ilta had heard of noble women being sheltered, but this was a bit much. The difference between the sexes was something most children learnt early. This also probably meant that the girl had never figured out where babies come from. It wasn’t her place to have that conversation. “I would suggest that you may wish to look into the resources at the library to fill yourself in on the knowledge that you missed out on.”
At Aria’s recap of the situation, Ilta nods. “Yeah. I think that’s the gist of it.” Looking back at the noble woman and abruptly shifting tones again, she asks, “So you said your mother neglected to tell you the differences between the sexes. Did she also tell you there you were anatomically female? Without having anything to compare it to and no reason to distrust her, then I suppose that would explain this.”
The girl is even more upset now. It’s not surprising. Ilta feels like she shouldn’t be the one trying to handle this. She bows slightly, “I am sorry, my lady. I did not mean to belittle your distress. I can launch an investigation into the circumstances. Would you mind telling me what you last remember? Who gave you the ring?”

Looking between the two for a moment forgetting her own troubles. She would have to say that they known each other before this meeting. Not that it affected her or anything it was just interesting and let her mind think on someone else for the time being. She flinched a little having the subject of topic be switched back to her. She only nodded her head at what Ilta said knowing one of the main reasons was all her illness and plans for escaping being the reason why she missed out on the knowledge. Admitting that she was also partly to blame when her mother was the one who decided to omit the information of her education.
Hearing the recap of her situation, she buried her head into her pillow. It was embarrassing enough as it is hearing someone else repeat it didn’t make her feel any better. Only nodded her at the comment. Seeing that Ilta seem to understand her distress of the situation, her mother wasn’t always a witch but other than the beating she never had a reason to distrust her and her doesn’t remember the reason for the beating only that whatever she might have done she would have deserved it.
The last thing she remembered, looking up from her pillow, going back to the events of last evening. “I remember my mother giving me present for being on good behavior lately. We had some tea.” Thinking on the tea she places her finger on her lips wondering if she was forgetting a detail. “Oh, the tea did taste kinda funny not the normal milk tea I drink. During the tea, she gave me the present which was that ring and a piece of paper with it. I was told to read whatever was on the paper, I would admit I was getting sleepy at this point. After reading what written on the paper. My mother made me drink the rest of the tea, that’s all I remembered.” Thinking a bit harder wondering if she was forgetting something. “Oh before I had fully drifted off into the world of dreams, I remember someone in the distance saying that it had to be done. That is everything I remembered honestly.”

Aria just smiled slightly, there would be time to speak to Ilta about it after. It was kinda a long sotry….She nodded agreeing fully to Iltas suggestion, however she was actually questioning the girls ability to read. Really if her education lacked the proper education on ones gender, she doubted the girl was taught how to read; if she could read, shame on her for not looking up things on the subject beforehand. Actually shame on her for not looking up the information sooner. Aria just stared blankly at the girl, her face void of emotion.
”…Someone should probably tell her about monthlies…”
Aria was quiet as the story was given, apparently by the last statement the girl could read...that was a bit of a shocker.
”Stories like that makes me wonder if my mother being eaten was actually a fortunate thing…”
Aria turned her attention to Ilta.
”Judging by that statement there would be not one but two accomplices. My suggestion would be to check the markets to see who’s selling these …rings… see if you can get a recite of sale or at least a list of buyers. If the girl was drugged her witness statement wouldn’t be as accurate as physical proof would be.”

Ilta rubs the bridge of her nose as Aria mentions monthly occurrences. “We’ll get around to it in a bit.” Not that she wanted to explain any of this.
Ilta couldn’t imagine her own mother doing anything like that. The noble woman spoke so calmly as if none of this struck her as odd. “Trust me when I say most mothers don’t behave that way… I hope you understand that this is not normal behavior, my lady.”
Ilta frowns as Aria starts trying to take charge. There were very few people who she would take orders from, and while she might be friends with Aria, she wouldn’t trust the woman to lead her anywhere, especially after how things turned out the first time. “You don’t need to tell me how to do my job, Aria,” she growls.
“However, before we do anything of the sort. It appears your mother would be the prime suspect here. Do you wish for the King's Knights to continue an investigation?” As the wronged party, it was partly up to the young lady what happened next. A lot of nobility preferred to not do anything to call attention to their houses, including not pursuing charges against family. Ilta wasn’t Roland, and would not intervene on the girl’s behalf if her help wasn’t desired.

Yuki just arched an eyebrow at Aria’s mention of monthlies, shaking from her mind deciding to worry about it later. Hearing Aria’s comment about wondering if her mother being eaten was a fortunate thing, she could only stare wide-eyed at her. Honestly, she didn’t know what her life would have been like without her mother. Sure she might have been spared the beatings but that was all part of making her a better person.
Turning to look at Ilta hearing that mothers don’t behave that way. She understood that most mothers are to be caring unlike hers, but she just brushed it off as her mother raising her since she was the sole heir to her estate and needed a strong backbone. “I understand that now.” She said bowing her head.
An investigation would mean calling attention to her house and that includes things that happen behind closed doors of her family. Then again if her mother was at fault for this she didn’t want anything else to happen to her, also getting her mother out of the picture would mean she gain full control of her house. Also did she want the sudden responsibilities of being the lady of the house. “Please continue the investigation. I prefer to know the truth then worry about the attention it will call to my house.” Her voice still calm, as a few tears rolled down her cheek knowing that whatever the truth was she had to be prepared for if her mother goes to jail.
