Yuki slowly let her eyes adjust to the lighting in her room, looking to her left she saw Sir Kane curled up sleeping next to her. Smiling she slowly got up walking the cat as he let out a meow explaining his irritation. Apologizing to him she got up moving towards her desk, pulling out her matches she lit her candle. It’s been like this the last few nights that she couldn’t sleep she would wake up and write a letter it was addressed to no one, but it helped her go back to sleep. Taking out her quill she dipped it into the ink and started writing. Tonight it was a letter of how she was dealing with the sudden changes with her body.
During this time, Sir Kane decided to jump on her lap startling her. “Don’t scare me.” She said as she scratched the back of his ear, listening to him purr. It helped relaxed her mind, but it wasn’t enough to get her to sleep, hearing the rumbling of her stomach she sighed remembering that she didn’t eat much at supper. “Stay here Sir Kane. I’ll be back soon.” She said as she put him down on the ground. Brushing the few strands of fur off her white chemise, she headed to the door. Making sure to shut it behind her, hearing a noise she just brushed it off as Sir Kane knocking one of her boxes off her chest drawers.
Handing towards the kitchen knowing the way having used the entrances as one of her escape routes for when she sneaks out of the castle. Pushing open the door she decided to be quiet not wanting to wake any of the servants. Sadly this did not go according to plan and she knocked crate causing it to wake one of the cooks. After some apologies mostly on the cook’s side since he had thought that she was a thief trying to steal something. Settling for a simple porridge since it would be more than enough to fill her belly and let her get some sleep.
Watching the cook she hated that she had woken him up knowing that as soon as the sun was on the horizon, he would have to wake up again and start preparing breakfast for everyone in the castle. Resting her head on the small table she waited for her porridge to be finish while thinking of everything that had happened in last little bit. Waking up with breast being the most strange and interesting thing that had happened in her life then again she still sometimes think that her life before this was just a dream.
“Here you go Lady Yuki, hot porridge now eat up and please next time you are hungry just wake me I don’t want to give you a scare again.” Nodding her head as she looked at the bowl that was in front of her. Smiling she took a small spoonful blowing on it to cool it down a little. “Thank you and I promise.” Taking a bite, she moaned in delight enjoying the taste of it. The food was what she had needed and right now it was the only thing on her mind.
After about thirty minutes, she headed back to her room having gone outside for a little bit of fresh air after having eaten. Reaching the hallway of her room she heard meowing in the distance and scratching on a door, running down the hall she started to smell smoke. Getting worried she moved faster praying that it wasn’t what she thought it was. Seeing the smoke coming from under her door and hearing Sir Kane desperate meows. “Oh, my Zepon. Sir Kane.” The panic raising her not knowing what to do.
“FIRE FIRE!” She started yelling as she banged on the doors that were in the hallway with her, hoping that a guard heard her. Praying that right now anyone came not wanting poor Sir Kane to die since he was only one she could really talk to freely. “Please someone… anyone.”

Dreams of running. Cole doesn’t remember whether he is just running or is being chased. Regardless, he fears for his life. He can his own heartbeat, which threatens to burst out of his chest. The woods are dark, and he can’t see more than a few feet in front of him. To make matters worse, his legs are getting heavier, slowing him down. Something smells burnt. Decaying trees on fire, and everything is burning around him. It’s just before he fully gets consumed by flames that he wakes up.
Opening his eyes, the setting is one that he knows. His room. It’s not quite familiar, but he’s getting used to it. Yet, the smell of burning doesn’t normally hang in the air. There’s also a knocking and yelling at his door. It takes a moment for his mind to process that information, and when it does, he’s out of his bed in a rush. Grabbing something to wear, he heads out of his quarters.
Throwing open the door, Yuki stands distressed on the other side of the threshold. He swallows, tries to remain calm or at least hide his panic. “Yuki, what is going on?” Turning his head to look down the hall, his eyes widen as he sees a cloud of smoke building. “Is that coming from your room?!”

It was one of those rare nights Aria was sound asleep; the smell of smoke did not wake her immediately. What finally woke her was the sudden increase in temperature. Arias eyes snapped open as she gasped for air in her smoke filled bedroom. She heard rather then saw the telltale crack of wood and rolled off her bed hitting the floor on all fours as a beam suddenly crashed down onto her bed; alighting her things into a burst of flame.
”Zepons twisted titties”
She coughed, the taste of soot and ash thick on her tongue. Amongst the roar and crackle of the flames she could hear a cat meowing. A shiver went through her spine, really this was entirely too familiar. She opened her mind to the panicked animal, it had fallen through with the floor above. Aria army crawled over to where it has taken up underneath her dresser and scooped it up and headed to the door. She crawled out of her room with the cat, slamming the door behind her. Coughs wracked her body as she heaved for air.
”Fire!”
Aria stumbled up onto her feet, cradling the burnt cat to her chest. Her night gown covered in soot, smoldering in some places. In fact she was covered from head to toe in ashes and soot. She pinched out a piece of her hair that had caught, frowning….she would need a trim now….she rubbed her eyes only serving to smudge the ash on her face more. That had be entirely too close of a call, and there was still the matter of her room being on fire. Now that she could somewhat breath in-between the coughing, the thought occurred to her that she probably shouldn’t let the fire spread to other rooms. Thankfully most of the walls were stone, it was only the floors that were wood. She opened the door to her room again, and concentrated on putting out the flames from the lower level. Things would have to be doused with water to prevent it from sparking up again, but it would hold for now…
Aria spun on her heel, and headed for the second level. Leaving a trail of sooty foot prints in her wake. She still carried the cat in her arms; it would need some lunar paste and its burns cleaned and bandaged. But it would live…she could hear voices now from the upper level…the shemale or maleshe…what ever it was.
”Your floor collapsed…”
Her voice was hoarse as another wave of coughs racked her body in attempt to get the soot from her lungs.

"Guards bucket line!" Shouted a stern voice filled with authority. Roland appeared in a black coat bearing a high collar to obscure the actual collar that now rested around his neck. As he hears voices he curses to himself and with several force augmented strides the captain of the royal guard vaulted through a window into the fire.
Letting out a cough he brought himself under control as the flames licked at him and shouted. "Anyone within the flames get down!" The bellow carried absolute authority and given that most knew the man it came from it would more than likely drop. Roland extended his hand and the fire began to shift and then pull towards and condense in a place above his hand. Roland's face quickly became a rictus of focus as he drew flames and smoke into a blistering orb in order to draw it away from the people.
Now that he could breath again he shouted. "Anyone who is uninjured and level headed, start evacuating civilians!" There were still flames, but paths through them had begun to open up, and most importantly a good amount of the smoke had been cleared. Roland could feel the flesh of his hand begin to char form the heat of the ball of fire and he steamed as the sweat that poured out of him evaporated instantly.

Like the rest of the guard, Ilta got woken from sleeping by the sound of shouting. However, the adrenaline rush from there being a fire in the castle is more than enough to make her awake and alert. It only takes a few moments to get dressed and hurry out the door. She runs past the bucket line. There were better solutions to this if you weren’t worried about the water damage.
Ilta heads closer towards the fire despite the heat coming off it. It’s uncomfortable, but she fights the urge to turn back. It starts with a drizzle and goes into downpour. The indoor rainfall would encompass a large area as well as Roland. It’s difficult to keep up, and her eyebrows furrow as she strains to put out the remainder of the flames. She manages to put out the fireball and a fair bit of the flames when she stops. At least, everything else could be managed to by non-magical means now.
She runs a hand through her hair and takes a breath. Guards move past her and into burnt down quarters. Looking over to Roland, she cringes at the sight of burnt skin. “I can head in and keep an eye on the rest.”

Why was everyone yelling? What on earth did these people need to be so loud about this time of night? Serenity opened her eyes groggily, groaning and yawning, but rather than air, she received two lungs full of smoke. She coughed and sputtered, her eyes watering and her chest tightening. She scrambled out of bed, reaching for a robe, but instead stuck her hand into some of the open flame. Crying out, she jumped away. She'd only lived in the castle a few days now, and already she missed Haven. At least there it was peaceful! Serenity left her room, bursting through the door into the hall, noticing people trying to put the fire out, and the Captain controlling what he could. She didn't recognize any of them at first, and kept coughing, the smoke still lingering in her lungs. What had caused the fire? Serenity glanced around more, shuffling away from the burning rooms, finally recognizing a woman that had joined the group. Mysteria. She didn't know her well, but it was better than nothing.
Excuse me! Do we know what caused this? She knew it wasn't fully her place to ask questions in her new position, but she'd nearly been killed. There was a burn mark on her wrist that spread down her hand and up her forearm lightly. The worst of it was on her right wrist. She looked at Mysteria, pain in her eyes, but she kept her arms behind her back. There were worse problems than her wrist.

Diamond woke up as he smelled smoke and that meant flames, he got up grabbed his gem back and ran out the door. He was wearing pants that were for sleeping and a light shirt. The white haired male follows a group of people on to the next floor. He saw Ilta, Roland, Aria, Yuki, and another red head he remembered as Serenity. "Well......its going to be a long day" he said and sighed as things looked like they were under control. But there would be people that needed to be healed. "If anyone has white or clear crystals I can start healing any who got hurt" he offered his help to anyone that was hurt from the flames. Diamond did hope that it was a accident rather then a attack by someone. He then looks over and just kept out of the affairs of the guard. Since he was more or less on call for his lady Melda. But none the less, he was woken up from the fire.

Yuki did her best to remain strong but with the smoke entering her lungs, making her cough each passing moment. The desire to curl up in a ball in the hallway and just wait for anything to happen rose in her. If it wasn’t for Cole coming out of his room she might have done just that, wiping away the tears that had silently started rolling down her cheek. “I think Sir Kane knock down the candle while I was out of my room.” Coughing more between her words, as she covered her mouth doing her best to not to throw herself into Cole’s arms for any kind of comfort.
Hearing footsteps was one of the things that made her restrain herself from seeking comfort. Turning to see who was coming praying that it was a guard and not another noble that she woke up. Seeing that it was the mean redheaded woman named Aria she almost dismissed her until she saw who was in her arms. She could recognize his chubby body and even with being burnt she still saw some patches of his normal orange fur. “OMG! Sir Kane.” She almost reached out for him but didn’t want to cause him any more injuries. “Thank you for saving him” Bowing her head to her thankful that Kane was safe.
Turning back to look at her door, wondering if she could do anything to help. The flames started to make its way under her door. Backing up not wanting to get caught in the flames, her eyes going towards Sir Kane praying that he would forgive her for leaving him alone. Hearing more footsteps turning seeing that it was the guards she started to back up letting them deal with the fire. Finally everything settled on her that her room was on fire, that she didn’t have a place to stay anymore. Her legs buckling as she slides down against the wall, pulling her knees close to her chest.
Not looking up from her fetal position as she hears another set of footsteps head towards them. At this point, the tears were in flowing like a waterfall with no end in sight. Hearing the question of how the fire started, she lifted her head her eyes puffy and red with tears, as she whispered. “A candle… a candle caused this.” Her voice weak from the crying and the smoke in the air.
Bowing her head back into her arms as she cradles her knees, not wanting to be seen or to even bother anyone since she done enough for the night already. The fire wasn’t her fault it was an accident, she honestly didn’t think that she would have been out of her room so long. Plus normally Sir Kane would be sleeping so him knocking down the candle didn’t even register in her mind as she left him alone in his room with the candle that he could knock it down.
Hearing another set of footsteps join them, she only let the words wash over her. Now people were hurt because of her mistake. The tears came more knowing that not only did she burn down two rooms but now people were getting hurt because of a mistake. Curling up as much as she could possibly making herself as small as possible while staying out of everyone’s way.

It’s early, and Cole hardly knows what to do in this situation. The poor girl though. He can’t imagine what it’s like to watch your belongings go up in smoke, but he can sympathize. “I’m thankful that you’re safe. The guard should be on their way soon,” he says, attempting to be reassuring. He places a hand on her shoulder and rubs small circles with his thumb.
He looks up as Yuki does at the duchess of Palico. He’s honestly surprised that the woman managed to go through the fire completely unscathed. The fact that she managed to save the cat as well is nothing short of a small miracle. That’s one thing that ended well at least. “Hmm… you both seem to be alright.” He makes a note of the fact that the duchess is far more resilient than she looks.
Taking a seat next to Yuki, Cole feels bad that there is nothing that he can really do to help. All the girl’s things went up in flames now. She cries over the candle, and he tries to hush her. “Shhh… it’s alright now. They’re putting out the fire now.” The guards had managed to reduce the flames somewhat. He reaches over and rubs her back.
