The mood in the third district was hardly much different than it typically was. While there was an occasional, faint boom, most people wrote it off as nothing that out of the ordinary for the poor part of town. Rumors of a treasure stolen piqued a few people's interest, prompting some solo adventurers, thieves, thugs, or soldiers of fortune to enter the depths below on their own accord. None had returned as of yet. Regardless, the guards assigned remained vigilant and wary of the possibility of something emerging from the underground, not that they shared such information with the commoners.
The underground beneath the third district was closer to a cavern than a sewer. Whilst chamber pots and other unpleasantness were often dumped into the seemingly abysmal pits that leaked into the underground, those below would have a rancid air to breathe in. Rats would scurry about freely, uncaring of the humans who would go down. The assigned medic was grumbling below at the bottom of the creaky ladder that allowed people access to the caverns below. Why him? Why did he of all people have to go down here where he would probably be killed. Regardless, he had to follow orders: the Lieutenant would make his life not worth living if he tried to get out of this one without at least feigning effort.
From the starting point, a withered sign would point westward labelled as 'Second District' A path east and a path north was present. If one were careful, they would note a pair of small red eyes in the darkness of the east tunnel.

The moment that Yuki hear the explosion and all of the commotions in the castle she quickly asked Sakai get her a female guard's uniform, of course, she had to mention her plans to join one of the groups that were going to undertake the mission to rescue the two women who were kidnapped or at least that's what she had overheard. Taking the time while Sakai was getting her the clothes she quickly took out the box from under her bed that contained her escape kit opening it up she smiled at the two bottles one was blue in colour while the other was brown. Popping over the brown one she tilt her head back and allowed some of the liquid to fall into each eye blinking a few times before she applied the blue coloured to hair. Sitting in front of the mirror for a bit she stared at herself she didn't look much different minus her hair now being blue and her eyes brown she looked the same so only people who never spend much time with her before would be able to recognise her without having to look too closely. Now to for her hair she took a small potion in her hand tieing her ribbon in it to create a simple mini ponytail while the rest of her hair flowed down her back, after all, she didn't believe that Saki would allow her to go somewhere dangerous alone plus having her hair styled a tiny bit similar to him wouldn't make her stand out too much. Once done she quickly changed into the guard's uniform it was a bit big on her but she wouldn't complain since it was a last minute thing. Adjusting the breast plates of the leather tunic and rolling up the sleeves so that her hands were not completely covered. Finally, she rolled up the bottom of her pants sticking it into her boots where were lined with fur. Before leaving she got her enchanted teapot and poured the hot water from her even tea then placed some jasmine leaves into the tea letting it settle and soak to create a simple jasmine tea and then she grabbed the necklace that Adrain had given her that had the flight spell in it clasping it around her neck. Before running out of her room she grabbed a short blade sword it wasn't much but she needed something to defend herself if it came down to it. ----- Once at the start area she suddenly felt nervous about wanting to try and be brave in a situation that wasn't of her own fault. Taking a deep breath she accepted one of the face masked from a guard before venturing down into the sewers to meet up with the medic who was going to be leading on the quest all while sticking close to Hawkeye not wanting to be too far from him. "I'm Y- Rosalinda." Yuki said quickly correcting herself not wanting to be found out and sent home like a bad child. Yuki's Temporary changes for the thread including hair style:

Gabriel grabbed his stuff and packed a small sack for him to carry around just incase he needed it. As he grabbed his staff and a small hunting knife which he put into his robes, Gabriel walked through the third district as he continued to wonder what could have been the reward noticing all the people who seemed to be going to the direction of the sewers and guards, unknown if they would have actually gone in, Gabriel looked down at the location before walking into the sewers. While walking down the underground into the sewers, Gabriel walked around the location while looking around and holding his breath to the best of his ability as the stench of the sewers was excessively rancid causing gabriel to take some time to get used to it.
As he continued to walk down he saw all matters of garbage and items which probably decayed over time, along with rats which would scurry from one wall to the other as gabriel continued to tap the butt of the staff on the ground as he walked. After reaching a sign he noticed a medic in the area not to far from it as Gabriel approached him “ Hey are you okay? Im Gabriel can i ask what your doing here?” Gabriel said as he saw another girl near the medic wondering if she actually came here because of the reward that was promised by the soldier.
“Hey what are you doing here? A lady like you shouldn’t have any reason to be in the sewers like this”

Hawkeye quickly made his way down the street, shoving people out of the way and ignoring all the glares that he received. One man shouted obscenities at him, only to quickly rescind them and cower when Hawkeye turned with a gleam in his eye, fingering the sheath to his sword eagerly before going on his merry way. After he had given Yuki what she had requested, he had hurried to take care of a few affairs and prepare his armor before going out himself. He was admittedly excited, even though the mission was something involving the sewers, because kidnappings meant kidnappers....and kidnappers meant blood for him to spill, action for him to take part of. The stench seemed to wash over him, and while he wrinkled his nose, it was not a smell that would keel him over. He had smelled rotting corpses on a battlefield before, so he could at least tolerate the smell.
The first thing he saw when he descended with Yuki/Rosalinda in tow was the medic, clearly unhappy with the task he had been assigned to do....but the next sight made him groan openly in dismay. There was a face he did not want to see. Not after their run in at town. He did not turn away, however, instead approaching the priest with a wave.
"What a gentleman you are, worried about the lady's safety. She's better armed then you, at least. You going to kill kidnappers with a walking stick?"

An important stolen possession. It’s enough to pique Ker’s interest. Now, what did the castle hold of such great importance that they would mount such an effort? For once, she’s hopeful of gaining relevant of information. That is if the guard let her get close enough to whatever they were recovering. Armed with a spear, she descends into the sewers to the meeting point. After her feet hits solid ground, she examines her surrounding. Dark tunnels and a few other people. All mortals. And already they were arguing among each other.
“Why does it matter what either of them fight with? If they are useful, they are useful. If they die, they die. However, what is more curious is that they would send us a guard with ill fitting armor...”
Ker studies Rosalinda. The girl looked nervous, and Ker’s inclined to agree with Gabriel that she probably doesn’t belong here. However, she won’t waste her breath trying to convince her to turn back. Looking back over to the male by her side, she addresses something of far greater interest.
“Now what is this about kidnappers? I was under the impression we were looked for a stolen object rather than people. Doing this for a person is pointless.”

The rumbling in the distance rolled through the third district in quiet waves, just a hint of what the world beneath Estrella's small feet would be experiencing as some explosions seemed to rock Nova. Her steps were silent as she crept along the shadows of the buildings and slipped swiftly in between the masses at hand, none paying her mind in the slightest. This was just perfect for the young woman. She had gotten a whiff of conspiracies afoot and though the troubles of Men were of little interest to the mage the promise of coin and a mysterious item was enough to make the endeavor worthwhile.
Estrella was clad in deep brown leather pants with metal bracers tied to her ankles up towards the knee, black leather panels were then attached to the metal via series of buckles and straps, covering her upper thighs. Upon the torso was a deep auburn cloth shirt with metal armour fitted over top, a hooded black cloak with a metal mouth and nose guard was thrown on top as well. The hood was pulled tight over her head, her hair stuffed inside and with the mouthguard in place all that was visible of her flesh was her deep onyx eyes. Coal gloves stretched over her slim fingers and within their grasp was her wooden staff,a thin sword in its sheath slung along her slim waist. Still moving quietly amongst the bubbling crowd she made way for the sewers, her blind eyes seeing nothing but that was of no matter.
Reaching the sewer entrance her feet made little to sound against the ladder and when she met solid ground a flare of annoyance rose within Estrella as she heard people bickering. And she was hoping for a quick and orderly mission, but apparently such a wish would go unheeded.
The stench was the second thing she noted about the underground, she hadn't had much time to explore their rank caverns having newly arrived to the capitol and she did not know if the price of her sense of smell was enough to pay to trek here once more. You see, when not using her Manna Estrella was technically blind and used a combination of her heightened senses and the life-energy everything outputted to come up with a scary accurate viewing of the world at hand, and thus having one sense overpowered as such left her a little unsteady. Her mask and the general getting use to the scent however cut down on its strength and thus she felt a little more secure. She sensed five people in her immediate area and another presence far off in the distance but couldn't make out exactly what it was...
She kept her lips silent, not one for idle chatter and nearly nodded in the general direction of each of her companions. She leaned upon her staff as she waited for instruction or something of true relevance to come to light.

From inside the underground tunnel, two red eyes watched as the would be 'heroes' assembled. It couldn't understand what they were saying from here, of course, but it was intelligent to a degree. It understood that these people would soon be invading its home. The creature used to be a regular sewer snake, before being exposed to the broken CS shards.
The mana from the shards had increased it's size considerably. The snake was about 12 ft long and as wide around as a couch. Its fangs were a couple of feet long a piece and oozed a potent venom which would render the victim unconscious for a time. The scales had an abstract pattern consisting of greys, greens, and browns. There were patches of moss and slime on its skin, which helped the snake further blend in with its surroundings.
The serpent slithered forward to the mouth of the tunnel, hissing quietly, its scales making a slight scratching sound agains the concrete and bricks. Its long, red, forked tongue flicked in and out of its mouth. It was tasting the air and judging these invaders. A few humans, perhaps with a bit of magic to their talents, and a demon. The snake smirked, eagerly anticipating its next meal already.

The medic sighed as the mercs sent by the Lieutenant seemed to be fighting amongst themselves already. Would it really benefit anyone to risk going into the tunnels after some supposed royal treasure? The king's royal toilet towel get stolen or something? One woman especially unnerved him with an unnatural calm and frankly terrifying demeanor, suggesting it was some sort of kidnapping ploy. The medic naturally not having that information raises ab row but before he can speak to try to calm down the party...
A GIANT SERPENT STRIKES!
The medical guard shouts terrified as he fumbles in his belt pouch for something and throws something at the abnormally large snake. A flash of blinding powder fills the air, but the aim is average at best and could very well blind party members due to the range temporarily.

Gabriel continued to listen to everyone talk as he would put out a retort to Hawkeye every once in a while as he noticed more and more people continued to show up. As it continued he heard the medic scream, as Gabriel turned to the medic to see the commotion he was greeted by a blinding light, lifting up his arm and robe instinctively he was able to block most of the flash as he began to lower his arm he went on guard half due to adjusting to the blinding light, but he was able to make out two ominous red eyes staring right at him.
As Gabriel continued to shake off the light and double vision caused by the powder he considered that the medic was an idiot for using something that close to allies as gabriel pulled the hunting knife out of his robes holding it in a hammer grip as the staff was held in the opposite hand. Deciding against letting whatever it was get the first move, Gabriel prepped for a shot as he threw the knife towards the red eyes hoping whatever it was wouldn't be able to dodge it.
Right after he threw the dagger he saw the dagger fly through the powder before hold the staff properly with both hands as he slowly backed up preparing himself for what may happen.

Estrella became rigid suddenly, springing up from her lax position against her staff as movement was detected farther off in the tunnel. The air grew denser as more volume was taken up, a grating sound like metal on stone fell upon her sensitive ears and a hiss accompanied this scraping noise. Estrella ripped her sword from its sheath and faced where the sound had come from, her fingers wrapped tighter against the staff as she awaited for the beast to be upon them. Estrella spoke for the first time, her voice gave out a flat ring
" Its coming" she barely had time to say before she heard and felt it strike. The air tasted like dust and sugar was all Estrella could tell about what the medic had done, lights couldn't bother the blind. She heard shuffling of feet and the whistle of a blade splitting the air and gently probing with her mind's eye, she got a flash of human energy behind her and she backed up slightly to place herself beside them. Estrella crouched and stood impeccably still ready to move and swing at the creature if it tried to come her way. Her powers would come in hand in times to come but for now she was happy to let the fight come to her-she'd be ready if it did.
The slightest sound could tip off the young mage to exactly where her opponent was and this beast's scent was incomparable, each shift it would make she would know and would adjust her body to combat it. She doubted very much her blade could sink into scales-if that was what she heard scratching upon the rock, which seemed the only option-but it could maybe slip in between them. This was more of a maybe than she felt comfortable with however and tensed herself to dodge, she was incredibly agile and swift and it was this quickness she relied on the most. If the threat became too large to bounce around she would be prepped to slice however and rapped the end of her staff gently against the ground-one of the five manna crystals embedded inside flickered briefly, a warning cry that she would unleash Death if required.

Yuki backed up a little seeing Gabriel she wasn't expecting to see someone that she knew other than Hawkeye. Keeping her head low she mumbled her respond to him. "I wanted to help that's why I am here." She was more than happy when Hawkeye came in showed up just in time so that she didn't have to explain herself to Gabriel. Even if he did mention that they were looking for the kidnappers she was just glad that he didn't mention that they were looking for the missing females.
She was glad when another person showed up though the comment on her armor being a bit big on her didn't slide. Taking a deep breath not wanting to get into a fight over something that wasn't important cause right now people's lives depends on them and they couldn't stand their fight with each other over trivial things. Her hands balled up into a first at the mention of doing this for a person was pointless. "Look I know that you think it might be pointless but people's lives matter. So if you think it is pointless then.... then.... whatever." Her voice trailed off at then end becoming meek once again as she moved closer to the medic.
The sudden flash of light blinded her as she fished at herself for her sword holding it out in front of her, for protection in case whatever was out there came close to her.
