It was still early in the afternoon and Yuki was just finishing up setting up the tea party, having sent out five invitation the day before to a few people that she wanted to possibility become friends with since at the moment she didn't have many friends at the court. One had been to Kail but she wasn't even sure if he would attend since the last time she saw him was during the autumn season. She had chosen a nice spot close to the rose gardens and in between one of the fountains. It was also her go to spot when she was looking to avoid people in the court, but at the moment it was filled with a small table that seats six since she was planning on having just a small party nothing too big since many of the nobility still frighten her even if she did do her best to be brave around them or hide out in the library avoiding everyone. Looking around at the garden she didn't have to put much into decorating since the flowers did it all by themselves brighten up the area and the scent was divine as well, the table was covered with a pure white tablecloth with a white vase in the center with fresh cut flowers that were arranged by Yuki herself for once thanking her mother for those lessons that she had found useless at the time. Seeing that her work was done for the time being she left the rest of the setting up to her handmaiden while she went and got ready since it was to be a late afternoon tea party. Getting ready didn't take much time since she had her clothes laid out on her bed since the morning and her bath was already drawn so just a matter of getting clean and dressing. Sitting in front of her vanity she looked down at her outfit of choice other that the fact her shoulders were expressed and she would need to wrap a shawl on her to keep off the chill of the spring air. It was a long light blue dress with white and silver lace around the sweetheart neckline, around her waist was more lace which showed the side of hips before flowing down around her. The only issue she had was that the sleeves were more half sleeves which only a small section was attached to the dress but the long veil like billowing sleeves was wonderful and made the dress more beautiful in her eyes. Smiling at her reflection she was thankful to her mother on one thing that was the gender-bender ring since now she didn't have to wear too many layers under her clothes since she filled them out naturally now and could wear clothes that showed off her figure a bit more. Opening her jewelry box she picked up a simple silver chained necklace with a pendant in the shape of a rose. Quickly running a brush through her hair she did a simple single braid letting it go down her back and tieing it off with her matching light blue ribbon not needing any more jewelry she got up and slipped on her matching white slippers. Before heading to the party she headed to the kitchen first since she didn't want to cause too much trouble for the cooks and had made sure that the blend of tea was sent down early so that she could help preparing it. Taking out her enchanted teapot she poured the tea in it before placing it on a tray with honey, cream and the matching tea cups and saucers each with a silver spoon. Once the cups were on the tray she got a second one with light snacks from cookies to just little sandwiches, she felt bad asking one of the staff to help her carry one of the trays out towards the garden. Placing the trays down in the center of the table she set out the tea cups for each place. Taking a calming deep breath chanting to herself that it just a simple tea nothing more she had nothing to be nervous about she did all the time while she was back at the family estate. Brushing the imagine dust off the front of her dress she folded her hands in front of her waiting for her first guest to arrive. Tags: @aveline @lilith (@runicblade if he could make it) Dress

Inherent suspicion was all that Aveline felt when she received her invitation- she had no good reason to refuse the lady, but the sinking feeling that this may be a trap from her mother was one that she couldn’t shake. But this was the first social invitation she had received since arriving back- she supposed she should be grateful that she wasn’t entirely a social pariah now. Even if her visit with his Majesty didn’t go entirely how she hoped. So with anxiety in her heart she accepted, then set to prepare.
A simple dress would do- a pale blue, one that Roland like, and that thought was greeted by a sharp pang to her chest. Fitted at the chest and long sleeved, it grew more voluminous at the waist, hiding her growing stomach. The back and sleeves were intricately laced up, but it required no other ornamentation. She let her hair be the same as it was for her visit to his Majesty, loose and uncovered, her hair braided at the crown of her head as a headband of sorts. She let her wedding ring show as well as a small sparkling necklace, but she felt like she couldn’t do more. She still needed to look put together, not ostentatious. So she set off to the party, worry filling her with every careful step, hands folding and wringing over her stomach. When she spotted the party, she let out a breath of relief- it was going to be small, at least. But intimacy could backfire if this went poorly- at least with a large party she could slip into the background mostly unnoticed, but not here. But Lady Baroness Yuki was hosting, so perhaps it wouldn’t be so bad.
“Your Excellency.” Aveline dipped her head as she curtseyed in a graceful and well-practiced gesture, “Thank you for the invitation. May I sit?” being on her feet for too long was still tiring, especially after such an anxious and lonely night. But that didn’t show on her face, only a gentle and graceful smile.

Lilith received the invitation with much surprise. A baroness wished to have tea with her? Despite what was going on with the King, she never imagined such a thing would occur for her; and besides that, no one knew about them yet, so no baroness’s should be inviting her to tea! Easy to say, she was nervous. She made sure to dress appropriately, choosing a pastel green and cream gown, with light pink flowers along the skirt and bodice, paired with a lovely lace neckline and sleeves, hemming at her forearm. She also wore a brown belt around her waist to accessorize. For her hair, she did a lovely waterfall braid along both the sides and the back, pinning a small flower clip to the end, on the left side of her head. Once that was done, she grabbed her back (which had her note book, charcoal, and medicinal potions and such inside), and head out on her way. It was in the gardens which seemed fitting, so Lilith new fairly well where she was going. When she arrived she found that Lady Aveline had been invited as well, a fact that caused a small stun in her chest, making her even more nervous. Lady Aveline married Roland, the man down in prison right now, the man that had given her the original job here. She cleared her throat lightly to allow her presence to be known. It is an honour. Lilith said, bowing deeply at them both before walking closer. I am so incredibly grateful for this invitation Lady Yuki, thank you so much. And Lady Aveline, it is always a pleasure to see you. May I sit as well?

Smiling brightly at Aveline, Yuki bowed her head and dipped into a curtsey since even Lady Aveline was of a higher rank than herself. "Thank you for being able to attend Lady Aveline. Oh, of course, have a seat." She said her hand gesturing towards table her nervousness showing through with a slight shaking of her hands. Now Yuki had wished that she didn't throw the party seeing how nervous she was feeling at the moment with only one person there so far. Taking another calm breathe reminding herself that she had been trained to do this and just had to remember her studies. Looking up she noticed that Miss Lilith had arrived and smiled at her even though Lilith wasn't nobility she had seen her around the castle wanted to get to know her.
"Thank you, Miss Lilith. I am glad that you are able to attend." Her words sincere along with her smile. "Of course, have a seat Miss Lilith."
"I am happy you both are able to attend. It seems like the others are either running late or were unable to attend. So it seems like it going to just be the three of us." She said as a nervous giggle left her lips.
Once the both of them had taken a seat walked towards the table. Reaching for the teapot she felt a familiar calm overtake her this was where she shined. The feel of the teapot the warming heat letting her know that the tea was still hot even the light scent that seemed to soothed her soul. Slowly her eyes opened not having realised that she had closed them to beginning with. "For our little party, I made my family's blend of peppermint and cinnamon tea." Her movements become fluid as she poured each cup of tea without a single drop going to waste or any of the cups getting more tea than the others.
Placing the pot down without it making a single sound on the table she took a seat careful tucking her dress under her. "There is some milk and honey if you would add if you like. Also please help yourselves to some snacks." She said smiling brightly as her fingers slowly curled around her cup the scent of the tea now a bit stronger upon being exposed to the air as it calmed her and any nervousness she was showing earlier had disappeared. Lifting her cup in the perfect lady like manner with her eyes downcast into her cup watching the tea as she took a small sip, placing the tea down onto the saucer her pinky finger cushioning it so that the cup didn't clink. "To be honest with you both I didn't have many plans for this party. I was just hoping to get to know some people here at the castle and if possible maybe make some new friends."
After mentioning the reasoning for the party she took another sip wondering what they would think of her. A young noble like her who pretty much stayed out of the way of everyone and avoided parties as best as she could and even shy away from social engagements and barely talked to anyone even though she lived in the castle for a while now and still she barely could call anyone a friend. "I know it seems silly to throw a party to get to know people and maybe become friends." Her voice, this time, soft as she spoke with her fingers curled around her cup her eyes downcasted as she waited for someone to say something.

For Yuki it seemed that she would be in luck as Kail was in Nova for somethings and a servent had delivered the invite to him. The blond sighed as he would normally just come in his fated attire. But since this was at the castle, he had to dress the part. So he also got cleaned up and took a bath. Normally this would be a quick thing like a shower but this was medevil age. So it would have taken a lot longer then a place with pluming. Kail used the last of his deoderant and got dressed in his Novian outfit and took with him at least his lightning blade and his knives. This was Nova and the castle so he trusted no one in there, he also placed both of his bracelets on his wrists. Once getting everything ready. Kail started down to the castle and knew he was late, but on the way he stopped and bought flowers from a flower girl that was trying to earn a coin. He bought all of them at double the price she was selling. Once at the castle, he showed the invite at the gate. Both guards gave a nod of there head and a welcome back reply. Kail was escourted by a squire to where the tea party was. A tea party would have been something he would have rolled his eyes at. But concerning the era he was in though it was a rather important thing. Not only that, he was technicly by all standards would have been considered a peasant. So it was a major honor to be invited to such a event.
The Squire brought him to the area and Kail gave him a nod of his head and told the young man to keep his head up high. His gaze saw Yuki, Lilith, and some woman he never saw before. Unlike Lilith and Yuki, she had much darker skin tone and just felt different then the the other two. That vibe would have to be pushed back, since he had to make a good impression for Yuki and Lilith. He took a deep breath and walked to the group "I do appologize for being late, I took a bath before coming. It takes a while to get here on foot so I was a bit grimy. But...I bought these beautiful flowers that a young lady was selling. They seem to be some lovely wild flowers, sorry if I don't know any of them" he said and offered them to Yuki. "Lilith its been awhile since that job from that Arthur guy" he said with a grin on his face. His glasses had turned a slightly darker shade then normal as he then sat down in one of the chairs. Kail's eyes flick over to Aveline, "Allow me to do the intorductions. I'm Killian Lancaster a friend to Yuki and Lilith, I am a jack of all trades if you will" he said and then takes a look at the spread that was there. He was rather hungry and took some of the snacks and place them on one of the small plates that was there.

Aveline turned her head at the sound of footsteps to see Lilith approach, her heart lifting in relief. Thank the gods, someone she knew. “More than a pleasure, Miss Lilith.” she smiles, internally praising her thanks. “It’s so good to see a familiar face again.”
She sat, sweeping with practiced and graceful ease into her chair, glad to be off her feet. “Thank you, your excellency.” Aveline sat, hands folded delicately in her lap as she listened to Yuki speak. The poor girl was clearly nervous and once again Aveline was grateful for the small party. This would be much easier on the three of them to relax. “It’s not silly at all.” she replies, her voice calm and soothing, “Thank you for thinking of us. It’s an honor to join you.”
Her hands carefully moved to inspect the tea- the wrong herbs in a tea could spell disaster for her now. She brings the cup to her lips to smell- it does smell overwhelmingly of peppermint and cinnamon, both of which were safe to drink for now. After taking a small sip to be certain she lowers her cup to add milk. She’s about to press for a topic of conversation, mostly likely the weather, before her voice is stolen from her by the presence of a man.
Aveline turns her head to Kail, her dark eyes, so like her mother’s, wide as she looks at him. The Baroness had invited a man? To this kind of party? What would they talk about now? She turns her eyes to her tea before drinking, trying to collect and soothe her thoughts. No, it would be all right. Awkward perhaps, but hopefully no more so than it was now. But who was this man that was so close to both of these women that he could address them without titles? By the time the man sat and introduced herself the tea was nearly drained from her cup and Aveline was more than prepared to put on the cloak of refined ladyhood again.
Aveline turns her head to Kail, smiling gently as she replaces the tea cup on her saucer, her voice light and calm. “A pleasure to meet you, Mr. Lancaster. I am Aveline Walker.”

Lilith grinned, happy the two women seemed glad to see her; she’s seen Lady Yuki around but never fully had the chance to talk to her, and she hadn’t seen Lady Aveline since she’d been hired, and that was at least a year ago now. Oh, I agree. And it’s been so long since I’ve seen you! She didn’t know who else was invited, nor did she know if she would even know who they were when they did arrive, but for now, she was happy. She pulled out a chair, removing her bag and placing it at her feet before sitting and moving back to the table. Lady Yuki, the tea smells absolutely splendid. She smiled, loving the scent of cinnamon. She took her cup, bringing it close to her nose, smiling as she inhaled.
I think that’s a perfectly good reason to throw a party. She reassured her, finding the girl charming. She picked up a cupcake, finding the pink frosting cute, and placed it down, deciding to try the tea first. Just before the glass could reach her lips, another presence joined them. Lilith lowered the glass to the table, letting it go a she turned her head to face whomever it was. A large grin appeared on the elves face as the man approached their group. As he spoke to her she pushed her chair back, standing and walking to him, wrapping her arms around his neck. Yes it has. It’s great to see you under less… stressful circumstances. She smiled, pulling away and ruffling his hair. She turned and took her seat again, bringing herself back into the formal setting. She saw Kail like a younger brother sometimes, and forgot she was supposed to be acting proper. People were starting to question her about Noku, and thus she couldn’t be acting like a child.
As Kail situated himself, Lilith held in a chuckle as he placed food on his plate, calling himself a “jack of all trades”. That was one way to put it. That’s right, I wanted to ask how the honey moon went? I know obviously now things are… well. Sorry. I’m just now seeing how terribly rude of me that was… Lilith frowned, looking immediately apologetic.

Yuki was happy that both Lilith and Lady Aveline knew each other at least there wouldn't be much awkwardness between everyone. She was also relieved that no one thought that the party idea was silly at all. "You are welcome. I had alway wanted meet you both." Taking a few more sips of her tea, when heard a familiar voice looking up she saw Kail with a small bouquet of wildflowers it was a sweet and totally a Kail thing since no other male would have thought to bring a present unless they were planning to court her.
"Kail I am happy that you were able to attend. It has been a while since we last saw each other." Unlike Lilith, Yuki resisted running to go and hug Kail and waited till he was seated. Reaching for the teapot she carefully poured Kail a cup of tea, giggling a bit as she watched Kail placed some of the snacks on his plate. "It is fine you are not truly late."
When Lilith mention the honeymoon she remembered Aveline had gotten married and left on her honeymoon. From the rumors, her husband Roland was in jail the reason she didn't know the full reason but she knew that Aveline might not want a reminder. Deciding to change the topic of conversation to something that was more innocent. "Is everyone looking forward to the summer season?"

Kail had been slightly surprised when he was hugged by Lilith, as he had not expected this at all. In this case though, the blond did hug her back. He did nod in agreement though it was a less stressful situation then previously though. As that propistion was something he was above what he was normally doing. Although he fought a goddess and lived though so he was able to deal with that. Then Yuki spoke up that it had been awhile as well and nodded to her as well. When he sat down, Yuki started to pour him a cup of tea and thanked her for it. Then the last person was Aveline to speak and spoke rather formally and Kail wanted to sigh auidably. As this one was going to be one of the stuck up proper types of women. "A pleasure I am sure" he said kindly and tried not to sound or give a hint of sarcasim to this woman. "Yes it has been several several to a few months since we last spoke Yuki. I am still trying to get things in order. Although it seems that I have, some kind of talent. As Lady Mysteria took me as her apprentice" he said since it had been a long time since he talked to her or Lilith in a more relaxed area and time. Kail first smelled the tea to get the aroma of it and then sipped a bit of it. Rather surprised by the flavor combination and was not sure what to say. As one was a cool shocking flavor while the other was a warm and calming on.
While eating and trying to control himself from wolfing down the food, Lilith asked about Aveline's honeymoon. The blond rolled his eyes slightly at the matter of the girl talk. At least things like this were the same back in his world. Although Yuki had went and tried to change the subject "Honestly not sure, even though I have been here in this world for a year so far. I could not really enjoy the summer at that time.......there were problems and I am sure you know what I am talking about" he said and knew that Lilith and Yuki would understand the meaning of those words. While Aveline looked like the bright type to piece some of his words to get the idea. "I've been surviving a lot, so I have not had the time to slow down and enjoy yhings" he said and drank a bit more of the tea.

Aveline smiled back to Killian, nodding again. “A pleasure.” Maybe this man wouldn’t stir up too much trouble, even being Lady Melania’s apprentice. She’s about to take another sip of tea when Lilith address her again, hastily putting her cup back down.
“Ah- well, that-” she can feel her face burn, eyes nervously shooting to Kail then back to Lilith, then back to her lap. Perhaps common women were more free ask about this sort of thing in the presence of men? “No, it’s- you startled me, that’s all.” she smiles a little to Lilith, her face still hot. “I’m afraid recent events have cast a shadow over that time and I fell ill during the trip. But when I was well I rather enjoyed myself.”
Aveline turned her attention back to Yuki, quickly taking another sip of the tea. The combined peppermint and cinnamon brought a swell of calm over her, easing her nerves over this strange party. She quite wondered what Kail meant by this world- perhaps he was a recent immigrant? It would explain his demeanor and his accent. “I could hold on to the winter a little longer, as long as it stays this mild. I think we’re due for one last frost, though.”

Lilith Harmonia ▪ Tag▪ NOTES Lilith rose her eyebrow. Mysteria did? I hadn’t heard that actually, congratulations. Maybe I’ll see you more now? I mean… cause I work in the castle. Lilith looked down, deciding to pick up her tea. She had to be careful; the King hadn’t announced their relationship to anyone yet, and Lilith didn’t want to out him if he wasn’t ready for it. She knew it wouldn’t be easy, what with her being a commoner, and not even human at that. It may not go over well, but for some reason, he was willing to try, so she wouldn’t complain.
Lilith felt so bad. Really, I’m sorry for bringing that up… When I’m nervous I have trouble thinking. You have my sincerest apologies. Lilith had a pure honest look on her face, her eyes bleeding with apologetic tones. However she snapped out of it hearing Kail. She kicked him lightly, shaking her head even more lightly, hoping no one would see but him. Talking about the Fated was still somewhat of a taboo here, and being one was even worse.
I’m more of a spring and autumn person myself. The blooming flowers, and the stunning colour changing with the leaves… it’s marvellous, and so much fun to draw. So, as you can imagine, I’m quite excited for spring myself. Lilith beamed, her pale face bright with joy.

Yuki caught Kail's little-hidden mention of him being fated, remembering that he didn't get to enjoy much of the summer because of what happened the year before, hopefully, this year would be different. As she listened to everyone it was nice to hear which season everyone enjoyed. "Oh I hope not Lady Aveline, I don't believe I could handle another frost. The cold weather doesn't suit me well, it's why I am looking forward to the summer season. The warm weather, the longer days and of course the garden during the summer with all the flowers in bloom." Her eyes gleaming as she thinks of what this summer would hold.
Picking up a cookie she took a small bite it was just a simple sugar cookie but it still tasted heavenly to her. "I have to admit the cook did a wonderful job with these snacks." She said as she slowly finished her cookie while making a small metal note to thank the cook once again. "Kail I also hope that you can enjoy this summer season there are many festivals happening."
"Since the summer is still a bit far off, do anyone have any plans for spring since it just around the corner," Yuki asked as she took another sip of her tea slowly finishing it. Picking up the pot she poured a bit more tea, before placing it down she asked if anyone needed a refill on their tea if anyone said yes she would refill they cup.

"Although I guess with the coming Spring and Summer. I might go around and collect some seasonal fruits and other items. And well yeah I hope this year is a bit better for me, Lady Yuki" said Kail and then felt the kick from Lilith and realized on the thing on Fated. Or at least that was the gist of it and ate some more. He did have to agree with Yuki that the cookies were well done. The blond did hope that he could make his own or get a hold of some chocolate, but that was going to be rare as heck. "I am not sure about me being around in the castle that often Lilith. Lets just say I have to be weary of any follower of Helena while I am here in Nova. During that zombie attack.....I sliced off two of her wings" he said with a weary chuckle on that matter. As he knew those kinds of people were actively trying to get to him. He already had to stun one of these attackers instead of killing him since it was out in public.
"So.....anyway.....well....*sighs* I suck at social events lately. Since I hold myself in my workshop a lot these days. Maybe I'm becoming too much of a hermit lately" he said trying not to get into his problems as a fated person. He was not sure what kind of topic he could get into. Since it was still evident that he was still not apart of this world in general. Even though he had been trying his best to adjust while in the world of Nova this entire few years now.

The titter about the seasons seemed just as on edge as she was- perhaps it was the added feature of Kail around that was making everyone on edge. Then again, being the presence of both royalty and a social pariah like herself was bound to put everyone’s guards up. “Yes the food is lovely, you put so much thought into this and I thank you for it.” There was no good way to shift this topic with the strange man here.
Aveline’s gaze turns with steely familiarity back to Kail, lifting up her teacup to drink as she watches him. What a strange man, so informal to be here in their presence. Even if Lilith wasn’t formally part of the nobility, he should at least call her ‘miss’ around better company. She tilts her head at him, putting the cup back firmly in the saucer. “What is it exactly that you do, Mr. Lancaster?”
